This experience started out okay but by the end of the meal it was very awkward. The food itself was good. I personally enjoyed my bruschetta appetizer more than my pizza itself, but my friend thoroughly enjoyed her spaghetti. Our server was quite friendly and pleasant, then he disappeared. Our food was brought out and around the same time or shortly after, our waiter left.'at This point because it was around 4 pm on a Friday we were the only patrons inside. Nobody seemed to notice us at all. It took a while to get any of the staff to come give us a check. The name is a bit deceiving as when you read bar+kitchen, I would think of a nice restaurant type place with a nice atmosphere and, a place to hang out. Well it turns out that, after 10pm this place is a bar+kitchen+crap DJ+too loud to talk+inconsistent expensive cocktails+arrogant waiters+++ ;-)) I went for an after party and there was about 30-40 of us and, despite booking ahead of time there was no area reserved for us :-( That was ok as they started clearing tables after we arrived and gave us a narrow corridor to hang out in, which was also the food service corridor, not ideal. The first whisky sour I had here was quite ok and had a nice kick to it. The second one (assuming a different bar tender made it) was quite sour and, almost felt like it had no whisky. It never goes well with me, when you are expecting one thing and, getting another. The place is lovely and has a nice ambience but the music was so loud in a small area that, it was impossible to speak to anyone. I may come back and try it during the day or, before the music starts going and, see what the place is like. Not a great start for me but, will give it another try sometime in the future. Maybe, I am getting too old to spend a few hours of my life listening to loud ordinary DJ's ;-)) read more

We walked by and popped in for a beer. It was late so we had alrady eaten. What met us was way too loud music. I dont think they knew their crowd this evening. The restaurant/bar was made out of white walls with som cool drawings. It has great potential, but I dont feel they have done all the can interiour wise. Cant tell if food is good. Late entry for a restaurant that we visited while in Munich for Oktoberfest. Location was close to the Platzl hotel and Marienplatz. The menu (see photo) was primarily Italian. I started with a crisp salad, and had the seafood pasta for my entree. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. They also have a full bar and our table shared a bottle. We had good service as the crowd had thinned towards the end of the lunch hour. Worth a visit if you are in Munich and want to deviate from Bavarian fare. read more

We stopped in a couple nights ago and they were only serving pizza after 10. We ordered the pizza and it was amazing, plus the staff was fantastic! So we made reservations for the next evening and the food, ambiance, staff couldn't have been more wonderful. Loved everything about this place, highly recommend for a family or just a date night away and looking for a reprieve from German food while in Munich. read more

I wanted to give this place a better review since my first night here with my mom was excellent. The food and wine were great, and the service was excellent. However, the second night we went to Fedora, our waiter Filippo was aggressive, brash, and extremely pushy to the point where we felt uncomfortable. He pushed certain dishes on us when we were not ready to order and he also gave us incorrect change assuming that we were going to tip him a certain amount. My mother and I were patient with him but nevertheless he tried to intimidate us into giving him a tip. We always tip but this experience was terrible. read more

So, I find myself in Munich looking for a cool spot to spend my first friday night and I come across this spot a bit of a ways from a tourist area. It had fantastic house music playing which you could hear from outside and so we decided in venture in. They had a pretty large dining area with a bar in the middle of the place. so, why I like this spot? 1. they have pumpkin carpaccio 2. service was super friendly, and they gave us a list of places to check out while we were visiting 3. hilarious bathroom door art (on the inside) 4. spectacular music however...they really need a large liquor selection and to learn how to make cocktails! regardless, I visited this spot 3x during my 10 days in Germany. read more

While exploring Munich food scene, we came across Fedora. I have to say, this is one of the best dinners we've had in Germany, or really anywhere. Food was fresh and reasonably priced. I ordered the seafood linguine and my husband had mushroom tagliatele. Both were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. I can't say enough about this place. This place was totally chilled and not racist. After a night full of being turned away for being Indian, it was nice to visit here and not experience the racism that my friend and I had experienced at every other place this night. In fact they even ended up just giving is a shot because they wanted to close and wanted us to leave and didn't want to kick us out because they were not racist and were very polite. This place must be pretty new, because I can't find it on Google to rate it. It's a cute little Italian restaurant in the heart of Munich, where the food, drink, and ambiance are all excellent. The decor is trendy, classy, and homey all at the same time. It's the kind of place you'd enjoy with your oldest friends or your latest love. The menu was still pretty sparse, but everything I ordered was perfect. For an aperitif, I ordered a classic (in Munich) Hugo- elderflower syrup, Proseco, mint, and lime, on ice. For a starter: an octopus carpaccio with slivers of asparagus drizzled with fine olive oil. It was very memorable. I remember my pasta dish was delicious and perfectly seasoned, too. But to be honest, my mind was still on the Carpaccio di Polpo. I would certainly go back. But alas, I'm no longer in Munich. read more

So far I have only tried the cappuccino and the ice cream but both are top notch (not my favourite coffee brand but let's not get too fussy). The location in Altstadt cannot be beat (note that the entrance is on Sparkassenstrasse) and the people running it know their stuff. I will definitely go there for lunch or dinner soon. AMERICANS BEWARE!!! We (my wife and Who were celebrating the last day of a 17 day European vacation for our 35th wedding anniversary)came in to Fedora fairly late on a Sunday evening only to be told that it was too late and they would not serve us. Due to a all day tour we hadn't had anything to eat or drink since about 1:00 pm. Disappointed because we were tired and fedora was close to our hotel, we settled in for a glass of wine. This only to watch them seat and serve at least four or five additional tables. Even after we talked to the server and the manager they wouldn't even offer us a menu. While couples continued to come and go. The only positive thing I can say is that the bill was correct for our wine. But you can bet I'll be checking my credit card statement CLOSELY. It's now 10:48 pm and we are at the Hard Rock Cafe getting something not local and not special to eat. Stay clear!!!! read more

I know it is new so it may be unfair. I went for good dinner and cocktails like the description said on Yelp. The food is good, no complaints at all. However they did not have a cocktail menu. I asked what the waiters had for cocktails, they did not know. So I said to bring me something sweet. They did, it was good. Then I get the bill and the drinks are way more expensive at the food. About 11 Euro and the drinks were half the size of a normal glass. So, I wouldn't go back. read more
