FedEx complaint. Delivery instructions do not allow real instructions: interface options are from a drop down menu.
Lara K.

Aug 31, 2025 The following is a letter I wrote to my HOA manager: Dear Management, The scope of this request may well be beyond your normal duties, but is there any way the HOA could intervene and contact FedEx in regards to COMMUNITY SAFTEY in the matter of FedEx delivery drivers deliberately and intentionally placing shipments/boxes DIRECTLY in FRONT OF GARAGE DOORS? Last week I was trapped in my garage, not once but twice, unable to drive out of garage when I needed to. The first delivery I discovered at 7pm. I had dressed in silk & high heels for a dinner reservation...went to my car to leave home and discovered 5 boxes blocking my vehicle from exiting, placed directly at the front of my garage door. Each box was over 30lbs and I could not carry the boxes inside the garage past the car, due to lack of space, as I have a tandem garage, so I had to get a box cutter, open each box and carry the contents, outside around the building to the front door making 9 trips back and forth and ended up late for my own birthday dinner. I immediately contacted Fed Ex via a survey of the delivery and told them that BLOCKING MY VEHICLE is unsafe and unnecessary! Why when there is a wall either side of my garage door, would any driver choose to place boxes directly in front of a garage door/vehicle? Does FedEx ask drivers to strategically block garage doors? Why are the drivers doing this? Moreover, I indicated to Fed Ex that blocking and impeding someone from leaving their home, by placing boxes in the direct path of a vehicle, esp. if you are blocking one that is handicap/disabled is both nonsensical and unsafe. For the last 10 years, I have actually had the worse shipping service from FED EX over any other shipping company. Once they actually placed a giant box against my front door trapping me in my home, blocking the front door with only my garage door as an exit route. I've also had Fed Ex place a 100 lbs delivery box on the commons grounds sidewalk and leave it there...leaving me with a shipment unable to move, let alone carry it up the stairs to my front door. Another time, I actually got the UPS man to come use his dolly to help me move a Fed Ex delivery sitting on the sidewalk, and he moved it up the stairs in 90 seconds...and he just shook his head at the absurdity of it & noted "Yep that's Fed Ex for ya"! FedEx also deliveries more ripped, beat-up, dented, damaged & dirty cardboard boxes over any other company, so from my experience a totally lack of care with Fed Ex as a carrier. On more than one occasions Fed Ex has delivered me furniture items with open boxes with the material falling out and damaged goods and they can literally see the damage and know they are delivering damaged goods but delivery the package anyway, when they should be contacting the shipper telling them the item is damaged and the box is damaged. All in all, blocking residential front doors and garage doors is totally unacceptable and someone needs to make an effort to correct this issue. I have done all I can do. I have requested shipments to come to the front door. As for these most recent shipments, I've no idea why the driver chose the driveway located on the opposite street side and opposite my front door, unless he did so to avoid the 7 steps at my front door, so he could offload without having to use the dolly. In any case, can somehow help with this, by reaching out to Fed Ex corporate to try to understand if blocking front doors and garage doors is an acceptable procedure and or protocol for Fed Ex drivers?

I run a small ebay store that sells the same items with no variations so the weight and dimensions are always exactly the same. I shipped with Fed Ex this one and LAST time. My package was 13 oz 9x3x3, they reported to ebay that it was 2 pounds 4x9x4 resulting in an up-charge a few days after delivery. Upon review of the ebay community this seems to be a common occurrence with other sellers. So it begs the question, is this incompetence or sheer fraudulence?

How do get Fedex to pick up someone else's package left here by error?

Take a $20 bill and stick one end of about fifty yards of fishing line to it(1lb test should do it)....wait till the fedex guy comes near your house and drop the twenty where he'll see it....next...once he sees it pull the $20 like its being blown… Read more

I prefer to DIY print, because it dulls the blow of paying for a copier, but every year the copiers become more complicated- I feel like a coot when I can't find the right button or paper tray. This is not a bad place, and it is clean and bright -sterile, even- but they don't offer some of the services that they used to. A few months ago I tried to have a photograph printed onto fabric- something I know they used to do, because I did this for an art school project years ago. They couldn't do it, and looked at me like I was an idiot for asking. In fact, every time I've been to this FedEx Office in recent years, I've been treated poorly, until today. (For better full service, I have had more luck at CopyMax.) Do you know what's annoying? Receiving a broken wine cooler for Mother's Day, and then having to pay to have it professionally repackaged for shipping because we broke down the box and recycled it (not FedEx's fault, but wouldn't you expect a brand-new appliance to function). $95.00! Also I tweaked my back carrying the thing to the back of my car. The FedEx guy was very sweet, though, and helped me a lot by bringing out a dolly and helping me out of the car, and explaining how the packaging worked. They had to build me a completely new box, because they didn't have any premade boxes that large. If you go to FedEx Office at Carrefour, go see Kevin in packaging and shipping! He was a bright spot in a very tough day.
