Everything, except a "Kill Room" that is the slogan of this new meat market. About three months ago, I wanted to try some before buying a customized package of meat. It easily "killed" Krogers, just a few sirloin steaks with their handmade specialty sausages. At my neighbor's outdoors barbecue, the second purchase. I donated half dozen sirloins, some sausages with, well buns. Just to see how well they would do, and Albright's did not disappoint. Again "killing" a grocery store chains offerings. And what was the option of guests there? What a waste of charcoal "Krogers"? Not sure? Created. In all honesty he did use a large green egg to cook in. So you will need to see how it turns out for you. For me the sausage was done to perfection. With a nice drizzle of BBQ sauce on top. It was by far the best sausage sandwich I've had in a long time. Long long time. The bun left a little room for improvement, but what would you expect from Krogers, so that is forgivable. And wasn't that bad, just not up to par par with the sausage/sauce combo. It was kind of like playing pebble beach and the tee's where a little bit lumpy. Albrights intends to penetrate the world o take home meals and restaurant / bar meat offerings on your plate and change the world when it comes to how meat is supplied. Local meat. Local butcher. Locals loving local goodness. This is the local marketplace vertically intergrading itself into a streamlined service of a healthy way to go about eating our most beloved craving. If you take one part restaurant (read don't eat a hog for dinner). One part Albrights your guilt complex surrounding meat will turn into a prideful, uplifting experience.

Yikes that must of been awkward hopefully no other man has to experience that. In my experience it's been good so far. Been wanting to support local businesses and staying away from big chains the best I can. Its simple and easy to find everything and the non poultry prices are fair especially if you are someone who mostly cooks all the time. Now the only thing I have an issue with is the pricing/weight ratio and marketing of the chicken and steaks. But I understand a small business has to make profit. But them having so much selection and styles of cuts does make it worth it. The service from the guys in the back are also great and do make sure they wrap up that meat in quality haha. To be honest I would give it a 4 but have to give it a 5 because the cashiers are cute. Highly recommend if you are a summertime outdoor grill lover.

I was disgusted. Why do they handle the meat and not wear gloves. I asked for someone else to get my order and she refused to help me. I will never buy anything from them again. This was the first time I went there. I'll stick with Pio meat market from now on.

The variety of restaurants or ethnic food available for purchase at grocery stores is laughably low. So i heard about George's International Market and checked out their website. I was really excited to try it because it gave the impression of being "International" and i love a wide variety of foods. I decided due to this to make the long drive into Fort Wayne to check this place out. My first impression of this place was confusion. Just inside the store you find a statue of a lion holding a shield, a statue of Elvis, and a third statute of Marilyn Monroe in her famous skirt scene. I am unsure what this has to do with a supermarket. I then walked into the actual market and was surprised at how much smaller it looks than in the website. I also discovered as I began exploring that its "international" designation is a bit overstated. It does have food from one or two European countries but its mostly hispanic and really mostly Mexican. Was i a bit disappointed? Yes. That said, i did find a lot of food that my culture also loves in here that overlaps. Firstly, i found actual green plantains! Usually in the supermarkets near my home they sell plantains but they are rarely green. To be able to fry some up and have tostones! Yes!!!!! I also found other products my family and I would love including plantain chips, malta, yuca, tamales, Jamaican patties, and croquettas. The croquettas were of the frozen variety and sadly only in chicken, i prefer ham. I was also very happy when I found Pineapple Nectar for my mom. She loves the stuff and hasn't had any since we moved! So i did end up buying quite a bit when I came here and i will likely come back again. I hope they continue to expand what they have available for sale here, though.
