We used Portland Catering company for our wedding. They charged almost $4000 for 53 people. For…read morethat price they were supposed to provide chicken, beef, asparagus, mashed potatoes, salad with candied nuts, 3 hors ordeuves, tea, water, lemonade. On our wedding day we were blindsided by not having The beef at all, and no nuts in the salad. I was charged the full price though. We asked the waitstaff about it and they talked to Katie Kearn, the representative that I had talked to throughout the whole process and the same person who did my tasting where we had agreed upon chicken and beef for entrees and she admitted to them that a mistake was made and said she would be in contact with me. I emailed her the day after the wedding. She did not respond immediately- I filed claims with my card companies. She then responded that my final invoice had been changed to omit the beef and I paid it so that means that I "agreed." The final invoice was paid on our wedding day and it was sent through the knot, not through email like the rest of the invoices. On the knot it opens very narrow and is hard to read. It was a total bait and switch and never discussed with me. I never agreed to pay the full price for only chicken after we had agreed to beef and chicken for that same price. As it was, the chicken was very dry and not at all like it had been at the tasting. She then offered me back a $400 refund, which is PATHETIC. I had even bought the menu cards and mailed them out with the invitations and many guests had chosen beef. We had to use some of our speech time to apologize to guests and explain what happened. This was an awful experience and I would never recommend them again to anyone.

It was so fatty that I couldn't possibly serve it to my guests in the state it arrived! Very disappointing to say the least.
