The staff and variety of products are consistently great. This by far is my favourite store…read morediscovery. Congratulations Good Planet Company for living up to your name. wishing continued success and appreciation to you always, Mar May (;

The gentlemen that own this business are fabulous. I purchased an organic cotton and natural rubber…read morequeen mattress from them two years ago, along with an organic wool duvet and pillows. They were so helpful and the service was amazing. I had been talking with another company in Vancouver that sold a similar product, and chose The Good Planet because of the service. (As an aside, the Vancouver company was completely atrocious). The bed is amazing, the best bed I've owned, and worth every penny. They let me put the bed on layaway, and because of that it let me convince the person sleeping on the other side of the bed, that we really did need to buy the complete natural, toxin free package. He's just upgraded to a natural shredded rubber pillow, and loves it as well. When you buy a bed, they offer 10% off all the linens and pillows for any future purchases. They also allowed my brother-in-law to return a shredded rubber pillow that had seemed to not hold up, I brought it in the store for an exchange when buying the new pillow, no trouble at all. Since moving and expanding from the old location, they've brought in even more products. Their buying practices, and just their taste, is awesome. This is absolutely the best store to buy gifts, for yourself, or anyone. I can't believe it's not on Yelp yet, but I'm very stoked to be the first to review. You'll find everything from toxin free kid toys, clothes, home composting kits, Level Ground Coffee, natural cleaning supplies, fair trade baskets, unique sustainable gifts, tons of great kitchen options, tools, towels, dishes, it's a never ending journey of fabulous when you explore this beautiful shop. So, if you are like me, and prefer to support all things eco, or if you're just curious and need some convincing that eco doesn't always mean patchouli, head to The Good Planet, one of the best shops I've ever been to.

I got great, fast and helpful service at this Sleep Country location! My partner and I were looking…read morefor a new bed and had been shopping around online for quite some time before we finally caved and went shopping and Sleep Country. We had some reservations about shopping there (aggressive sales people, complicated payment plans etc) but it turned out great! The attendants were busy when we first came in so we got some time to wander around by ourselves before we were greeted and asked if we needed help -- we admitted we didn't know much about mattress buying and that we were looking for something pretty soft to suit our sleeping needs. Manus (an older, bespectacled gentleman) showed us the nicest, most expensive bed but acknowledged that it was SUPER pricy and actively discouraged us from buying it. He then showed us all of the soft beds in the showroom which he though fit into our prince range (which he didn't even ask us for, he basically just recommended the softest beds with the lowest price) while giving my partner and I plenty of space to talk about the quality/prices of the beds we were trying -- I didn't feel crowded or pressured at all! When my partner and I had entered the store, we weren't planning on buying anything -- we'd pretty firmly agreed that we were JUST looking and that we wouldn't be talked into buying anything. But by the end of our visit we had picked out a bed (under his recommendation) all on our own! And it was affordable enough for us to pay for it in full right there and then. He offered us add-ons (mattress covers, bed frames etc) but only in a casual way; when we turned him down or mentioned we had plans to buy those things else where, he didn't pressure us to buy from Sleep Country or try to up-sell us. I would have said he actively encouraged us to make our own choices and buy products elsewhere! He explained their delivery and return policies very simply and gave us tons to helpful information without being overbearing or longwinded. All and all we were in the store for only 20 minutes! Considering our apprehension walking in, I think our visit's speediness can be attributed to the space and simplicity of our interactions with Manus and the other staff members at Sleep Country. He even got us a deal on our end selection and saved us over $500! I think the best part about our visit was how non-judgemental the staff we interacted with were-- as a queer couple, my partner and I are subjected to a lot of public scrutiny and erasure. Mostly people either show discomfort with our same sex relationship or assume we're platonic friends but the staff at this Sleep Country passed no judgement at all! We felt like just any other couple trying to buy a mattress! I would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy a new bed and especially to same sex and other queer couples and families!
