A peaceful, powerful museum with heart, history, and incredible care. The Favell Museum in Klamath Falls completely exceeded our expectations. It's a quiet, three-story space full of beautifully preserved Native American artifacts, Western art, and historic collections that feel both intimate and deeply respected. We came in just hoping to learn -- and left with a whole new appreciation for everything this place holds. Admission was $15 per adult, with a small senior discount for my mom. Tribal and Native members are welcomed in for free. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly proud of the space. They even allowed my sister to bring her leashed dog inside, as long as he stayed calm -- a thoughtful, trusting gesture we really appreciated. Each floor has its own character: * Top floor: An open gallery walk-through with art from the early to mid-1900s, where they also host art classes and community events. It felt calm, creative, and inspiring. * Middle floor: The main museum, with 5-6 rooms filled with Native artifacts, cultural pieces, and a separate vault room for antique weapons. Every display was arranged with care and depth. * Bottom floor: A rest area with beautiful leather chairs, a warm rug, Western art on the walls, and the most spacious, well-kept bathrooms we've seen in any museum. It felt like a lounge, not a lower level. The overall vibe was calm and deeply respectful. While it was a little tricky to photograph some of the exhibits due to lighting glare on the glass cases, that didn't take away from the beauty and storytelling in the collections. Other notes: * They accept Apple Pay * The gift shop is beautiful, with thoughtfully chosen, high-quality items * Everything is clearly maintained with care, from the exhibits to the restrooms Going to museums like this and supporting organizations that protect and share cultural history keeps authenticity alive. It's humbling, beautiful, and grounding in a way that's hard to put into words. We built real memories here and left feeling connected, inspired, and grateful. The Favell is a museum of Native American and western artifacts. There is also a gallery that features contemporary art exhibitions. I'm a little uncomfortable with the Native clothing, tools, cultural and personal items. How did the Favell come into possession of these things? The arrowhead collection is enormous. There is a diverse rock collection as well. I'd say it's worth a visit. read more

We stopped by before 4pm on a Tuesday and they were already closed :( The sign on the door as well as website said they were open until 5pm, last entry at 4:15pm, but the doors were locked and nobody picked up the phone. Did see two folks leaving out the back door as we pulled into the parking lot...maybe employees? read more

WOW! Even after reading the great reviews here, I was still blown away. There must have been at least a thousand different arrowheads. And so much more to see. Native American artifacts from Alaska to Peru. US western artifacts. And art (both old & new) of the above. Expect to take about 2 hours to see everything. Would love it if they offered guided tours. I had so many questions. I will go again if I'm in the area. read more

An excellent little museum that is based on the collections of Eugene Favell whose hobby was native american history and artifacts, western art and miscellaneous other collectables. There are a huge number of arrow heads and some very rare archeological treasures that Favell found or purchased in his explorations of central and western Oregon. There are many baskets, clothing articles and western artworks of many types including an original Charles Russell painting. On this visit there was a visiting exhibit of art and artifacts about the Japanese-American internment camp at Tule Lake, not far southeast of Klamath Falls. An important history lesson. read more

Had my wedding at the favell in August. It was perfect, the ladies were very helpful, not as many restrictions that other venues have, and great price. We used some citronella candles outside for the ceremony and the bugs were no problem. read more

What a treasure the Favell Museum is! In addition to their extensive permenant collection of indian artifacts and western art they hold fantastic public events. I was fortunate enough to be a part of their 2013 Invitational Art Show. Everything was top quality with over 30 artists participating, most traveling for this weekend event. Museum Director Janann Loetscher along with community volunteers have made this an event worth traveling for. Klamath Falls has a rich history and beautiful country, schedule a few extra days to see Crater Lake National Park, Captain Jacks stronghold, the Lava Beds and Running Y for golf. read more

Nice place, with some very cool stuff. I'm not a big fan of western art, but their Native American artifacts are very nice.

A MUST SEE!! The Favell Museum is currently hosting numerous well-known artists from various parts of the country who have traveled specifically to show at this cultural site. On display include intricate sculpture, paintings and jewelry.
