I tried this spot for the first time yesterday and I'm honestly still thinking about the food. I ordered the chile relleno burrito, and wow... this thing was HUGE. Like actually the size of my forearm -- it was packed with flavor. The chile relleno was perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and everything inside worked so well together. It was filling without feeling heavy, which is rare for a burrito that big. Definitely one of the best burritos I've had in a long time. I also got three rolled tacos with beef and just cheese on top, and they were exactly what I wanted. Crunchy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside. Simple but done right -- sometimes you don't need a ton of toppings when the flavor is already there. I normally do not leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. The owner, Fausto Vega, was rude and disrespectful to our family during our visit. He made an insulting comment to my mother-in-law about customers supposedly asking for toasted jalapeños at the end "so they don't have to pay for them." We explained that we always pay for everything we order, but the comment was unnecessary, insulting and embarrassing. I had not visited this location in about four months, and unfortunately the food quality has also noticeably declined since my last visit. Between the lower food quality and the owner's attitude toward customers, the overall experience was very unpleasant. Customer service and respect go a long way in the restaurant business. Nice change of pace from Roberto's. Ordered a couple super burritos and rolled tacos, and the burritos were huge! Chicken breast was not super flavorful so I'd try steak next time. Also they put lettuce in it which is a big no for me to have wilted lettuce in a burrito. And the tortilla is not toasted on the grill, which I prefer. Nevertheless I still thought it was pretty good and still intrigued to try more things next time. The rolled tacos had a different texture, not as crispy and crunchy as other places, more soft and tender with a little crispness, but I liked the change. Place was crowded and people were friendly. A coworker recently told me that Fausto's has a taco Tuesday special on chicken tacos. Similar that at other shops like Roberto's and Rivas which have their specials on Wednesdays. But, having never tried Fausto's before, I decided to switch things up and get some taco Tuesday action. I went with my same essential Wednesday order that I normally get at Roberto's - 2 chicken tacos and an order of 3 taquitos with guacamole. What better way to compare than to get the exac same order. In keeping with that mentality, I also grabbed a bag of pickled jalapeno carrots. I took my food home and started with one of the tacos. I then ate the taquitos. I saved the second taco for breakfast. My thoughts - Fausto's is perfectly adequate. Very similar in style and taste to the likes of Roberto's, Rivas, Don Tortaco. You name it. What matters is that I had a good dinner that hit the spot. I will note that the service at Fausto's was pleasent and my food was ready much quicker than when I go to Roberto's. We don't come here as often as I'd like because it's out of the way. The only thing I order is the chimichanga plate. Today I got grilled chicken. The thing is huge. Two people could share easily. I'm not sure why they always put it on a pile of lettuce. Today I asked them for no lettuce on my plate at all. It makes the chimichanga wet. They got that right but to curb their need to plop it on something they put tomato and onion salsa under it. I will be even more specific next time. It tasted great as always. Authentic Mexican food here. I'm from CA and it's hard for me to compare Mexican foods but this place has solid Mexican food. Food is cheap (burritos for $5-7) and the portions are good. My favorite is the all-you-can-take salsa bar with very solid salsas. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast burrito because it was sort of sloppy but I did enjoy my carne asada burrito and carne asada fries. read more

Last night I ordered the carne asada enchiladas for the College Dr. location. I have never received meat so hard to chew in my life. It was mostly grizzled meat that I have ever had in my mouth, and could not be chewed. I waded through one of the two enchiladas thinking it would get better, that it may have only been a portion of the meat that was so tough and fill of grizzle, but when starting the second one it was as tough to chew as the first. As a California native who happens to be in Nevada at the moment I was craving some good ol Americanized Mexican food, I tried robertos but it was okay then I saw this place and though I would give it a shot. Firstly the inside of this restaurant smell HORRIBLE, but I was ordering take out so I figured I could deal with it for a couple minutes. I ordered a "Nevada" Burrito and 3 Rolled tacos with guacamole. Firstly the rolled tacos were tiny, had very little meat, a bit soggy and the guac was very watery, I would give this a 0/5. On to the burrito, first off I notice a ton of people here recomending the California burrito and then others who are from California complaining that the California burrito isnt actually a California burrito, and it is not. The Nevada burrito here is the traditional California Burrito with the fries in it, so if you are from anywhere else and want a California burrito, order the Nevada burrito. The burrito itself is pretty big, so if youre looking for a lot of food for cheap and not caring too much about quality or taste then this place is for you. The meat in the burrito is very salty and very thiny sliced and chopped it taste almost more like a philly cheesesteak burrito than a carne asada burrito, there is a VERY small layer of fries on the outside like they laid down a couple fries before rolling the burrito instead of throwing in a ton of fries (you can see this in my photo) another thing is this burrito is watery! which is very off putting, the guacamole is watery like it came from a tube instead of fresh, and If you are a fan of sour cream I recommend you requesting it on the side since watery guac + watery sour cream = soupy burrito. The one shining star of this place is the Red sauce, the red sauce is actually very good, I dont know if its made in store or bought but it's the only reason this review is getting 1 star as drenching the food with it made it more edible to me personally. read more

Staff doesn't know their menu, been coming here since HS and always order the omelette burrito, ham, egg and cheese it also comes with "salsa" or pico de gallo but I always opt out. That's exactly how I order it this morning and the cashier said there's no salsa on the burrito, when I got home guess what? Freaking salsa!! I called the place again and asked to speak to the cashier, he still said there's no salsa on the burrito even though it's advertise on their menu as salsa and there was no language barrier as I ordered my food in spanish.....no quiero salsa! First time trying this local restaurant. As soon as I walked in I was impressed of how packed it was. We ordered online and when we got there the food was ready and still hot. We got 3 breakfast burritos we got the sausage, egg, cheese and the potatoe one. It was big! I feel like it's missing something it's a little to dry for me but other then that it's pretty good. It's true what the reviews say unlike other places it's not only the tortilla and by that they aren't greedy the burritos are full. I love love love this place! If you're a fan of no-frills Mexican, the good kind akin to California spots (Cali born and raised!), then you're in luck. This place has got the goods. Good prices, good food, quick and casual. I love their rolled tacos, but they have a huge menu, and you can end up with enough food for a family of 4 for under $20. Their burritos are massive, their quesadillas feed 3 people, and they have awesome tacos and various specials. I hate to do this, but I have to, so I can warn others, I went in today and ordered 2 tacos, 1 carne asada, 1 carnitas and a regular drink, when he scanned my card, I'm confused why it's 15$. He flipped the quesadillas on the stove with his bare hands and put all the cheese and toppings on the tacos with no gloves on. So my friend from work told me about this place so I wanted to check them out. So I got the Nevada burrito, which is huge burrito. For $7, I am not complaining. It comes with sour cream, avocado, potato, cheese and steak. One of the best burritos I have had here in Vegas (And I am picky). The flavors were bold and delicious everything was fresh. And it didn't even take them that long to make this burrito. This burrito is so big I can only eat half LOL. I would definitely recommend this place if you were wanting to eat authentic Mexican food.
