This company removed my old driveway and repoured it new. The price was competitive, however, six months later I received a letter saying that the cement company- CMC Rock, put a lien on my home for the amount of the unpaid cement that was ordered by Faustina and delivered to my home. Short review: Final result is pretty but began to breakdown after 2 days. Even according to the company owner (Sione) his guys didn't build the flagstone path or patio correctly (see second picture). 3-4 days worth of work took almost a month and a half. Now two WL weeks after the job is "done" I still have tractor tracks in my grass that weren't fix and a pile of 12' long construction material that is STILL sitting in my front garden. I have also lost the use of 3 full zones of my sprinkler system because they were completely covered even though I marked them and gave Sione a map of the head locations. I will not refer him to family or friends in the future. Sione came out and gave a bid on building two walkways and a patio out of flagstone. He gave us a quote that was below the market average and he had done work for other members of our family recently and the work was well done. After getting the first "gut check" quote from him and being instructed to go pick out a the stone we wanted it took us almost two months to get him back to give a final itemized quote. After multiple calls and texts he finally came back and did the full quote and learning it would only be about 3-4 days of work. After agreeing to the quote it took another full month before works "started". They dropped off a full size front loader/bucket tractor and left it in my side yard for a full week before beginning work. Then they tore everything out in one day, which was great, but then no work for another week and a half. Then another days worth of work where a LOT gone done, but then they disappeared for another week. This went on for 6 weeks until the job was 90% complete. Now I'm stuck at 90% jobs complete three weeks later and it still isn't done. Called him on Monday (two days ago) saying I need all the construction material removed from my front garden that his guys left. He said he was sending a guy right then to pick it up. It's still here. The final major annoyance is that even though I put marker flags on all of my sprinkler heads, three were broken, 5 were removed and the pipes were cut but they couldn't tell me which ones. Supposedly the pipes are capped, but since they couldn't tell me where they were capped I'm afraid my yard is going to flood. Lastly, and the most frustrating, we specifically said no weed barrier, yet it was installed everywhere. And all my flag markers were removed when weed barrier and bark was put down and no holes were cut for my sprinklers. Now I have to start digging around and randomly cutting through the weed barrier to free about 20 sprinkler heads in three of my 8 zones. We hired Faustina Construction to lay a very large RV pad/Patio and finish the landscaping for our backyard (new build). Our property had quite a slope, so it also involved building a retaining wall. Our experience was very similar to what Tim and Vonda describe in their review. Our experience was as follows: Sione came to our house to give us a free estimate of what the cost would be. He did not have a written quote, but instead texted us the details of what his quote was and what it included. Once we agreed to start the project, Sione did not ask for any money up front. We had agreed to purchase some materials on our own and only pay labor to install them. Sione offered to pick up the items for us - at no extra charge - which was extremely helpful. After the project was complete, Sione provided us a detailed invoice and we paid in full. Sione and his crew were courteous, friendly, professional, and very hard working. They definitely went the extra mile a few times. For example, some of our sod had died on our parking strip do to the cement trucks and other machines driving over it, so Sione replaced the sod there even though it wasn't part of his project. Additionally, the landscape obviously brought a lot of dirt onto our existing driveway and they power washed our entire driveway to get the dirt off when they were done. Sione's goal is to do an excellent job and make sure we were pleased. He takes a lot of pride in his work. We had some miscommunications about a few pieces of the landscaping, but he was quick to come to solutions once we pointed out the misunderstandings. read more

It's easy to give 5 stars. I would give more if available!! This is the second time we've hired Faustina Construction (Sione) to do quality work for us. I don't understand the other negative review as our experience is as follows: Two yrs. ago we hired Sione to tear out the cracked old concrete on our double driveway, put in new concrete and seal it. He did an excellent job, and the concrete still looks perfect today. We receive many compliments on how good it looks. Sione has never asked for any money up front. We've always paid him after he finished the job. Also never had any issues with him not returning our calls or texts, he always responds promptly. This recent job involved cement work for the foundation on a carport we're having built. We called and Sione promptly came to our home, looked at the area, checked the drawings, discussed everything with us, did measurements, and we received a written estimate with a very good price. Upon agreement, Sione arrived on time on date specified, Everything was discussed again, forms layed out to make sure it was exactly what we wanted and were pleased with how it would look before the cement truck arrived. We had approved drawings of our carport and a building permit. The foundation was done, inspected, and passed. Sione and his crew were courteous, friendly, professional, and very hard working. His goals were to do an excellent job and make sure we were pleased. Everything was cleaned up before they left. Last year, we had Faustina come over to give us an estimate on building a small retaining wall around our garden between our back deck and the lawn. We also wanted a quote to clean and reseal the deck of our inground pool. The company boss would not write up an estimate, or a contract before starting the job (should have been our 1st red flag). We agreed on a price to include the wall, and also to clean, stain, and re-seal the concrete deck. He said that he had to have a cash deposit to start the job (2nd red flag). Each and almost every day as the islanders completed a days work (at least half the crew did not hardly work at all, being either excessively overweight, or lazy), he asked for cash payments - would not accept a check (3rd red flag). Then after the crew was about 2-3 days from completion, he told us that the quoted price (that we had written down) was incorrect, and told us that the actual price was thousand of dollars higher. Reluctantly, we agreed to a compromise (which was still overly priced, compared to my previous contractor quotes) as we wanted what was 80% done, finished. When we noticed that the cinder block wall next to the edge of my deck wasn't even kept parallel (equal distance from the edge of our deck), the answer was that it's too late now to fix it. Finally, after we were out $10,000 cash and his crew had gone, we discovered that the wall wasn't even completed (missing blocks & incomplete staining). We called and texted numerous times (attaching photos), but he would answer or return our calls, VM, or messages (let alone have someone return to complete/fix the job. WATCH OUT for this company (they advertise in the weekly Home magazine mailer). DON'T even think of being a fool, like we were. NEVER let a contractor start work without giving you a written contract, and NEVER give them final payment if the area isn't cleaned up and the job in not finished correctly. read more
