Of all the contractors I've worked with Matt, is by far the best. He's knowledgeable about all aspects of contracting from electrical to plumbing to design and more. He doesn't try to upsell you, rather he finds and offers creative solutions that others might not think of that results in a better end product for less than expected. His craftsmanship is solid and has held up over time. Anytime I need work he will be the first person I go to. I have had him back multiple times to work on many different projects and he has never let me down. I highly recommend him read more

Matt recently did a complete bathroom remodel for us. He was both knowledgeable and professional. Matt enclosed the work area in plastic sheet, and vented the dust out the window with a filtered vacuum. He cleaned the area after each days work. He was patient, and addressed all our concerns and questions promptly. The tile work was perfect, the vanity cabinet he designed was well made, and customized to our needs, and all the surface work from the floor up was excellent. Matt showed a good understanding of the plumbing and electrical, as well as all the codes and specifications needed. We couldn't be happier with the final result. read more

My wife and I recently purchased an older home that needed some work. I contacted Matt after a recommendation from a friend and I am very glad I did. Matt was very thorough inspecting both the plumbing and the electrical in the house. He was more than happy to walk us through issues he saw, and gave a couple options on how to fix it. Never pushy, he also recommended we get a second opinion. We ended up having him do some electrical work, and I am extremely happy with his work. Great guy, highly recommend him. read more

We had a case of "tenants from hell", and our rental property was left completely destroyed. As we were out of state, we got contractors to estimate and bid on Houzz and Thumbtack. Matt Alder was extremely profession and to the point. Not only did he provide us with a reasonable estimate listing a detailed description of all the needed repairs, he also suggested different ways in which the all the issues could be fixed. We would definitely recommend Alderations - Remodeling Specialists, and use their services again. read more

After firing a different contractor for botching a small bathroom remodel, I called Matt in to clean up the mess and finish the job. He was prompt, knowledgable, reasonably priced and, most importantly, his workmanship was excellent. If only I had known to call him first, my remodel would have been done weeks earlier. One very important thing: unlike most handymen I've encountered, Matt was honest about his abilities. He told me straight up that he wasn't comfortable charging money to do a certain task because he felt his skills in that area were not yet professional-caliber. This was very refreshing and reassuring. read more

I bought a house recently. During the inspection, I learned that a large heater in the detached garage did not work, but was likely fixable. I called Matt one afternoon to see if he'd be able to check it out. He was at my house within 90 minutes and diagnosed the problem, got the part, and fixed the heater within an hour. I found Matt to be knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with all of our questions. I'm comforted to know that I have someone I can trust with the inevitable problems that come with home ownership (and at a reasonable price!) I'd highly recommend Matt if you're looking for a good, honest handyman. read more

Was waiting for our normal handy-man to come in to fix the fan on our beer draft for about a month, numerous phone calls, etc... I finally got tired of waiting and called Matt, within 20 minutes he was there, in under an hour and a half of calling the fan was fixed AND he found two other issues (the power cord and a blocked condensation line) and had those fixed as well. All at a super reasonable price. Great work, fast, thorough. From now on, I think I may have a new regular handy-man. Thank you Alder-ations! read more

Matt Alder is a professional bar none. I hired him to fix a broken door jam, and he was able to come the next day to take measurements and followed up the next day with the repair. He was very efficient, friendly, courteous, and knowledgable; he is a full-time handyman, so he knows what he is doing. He even accidentally over-charged me and immediately called me to return the check...don't look anywhere else if you need a repair! read more

Matt installed a ceiling fan in our living room today and it looks great! We're newer home owners and this was my first time hiring a contractor, and working with Matt was very easy. I called him yesterday afternoon and by 4:00 today we had our fan installed. His price was very competitive as well. We will definitely be calling him again for other projects around the house. read more

The owner came over on a Sunday and did the work himself. He worked very hard to install two faucets for me. One faucet was on a sink that dates back to 1942. The faucet was long past its life. It had so many leaks. It was time to replace it. We found a similar faucet and he installed easily. Our bathroom faucet was simple but rotting so bad that the water was just running continually at a steady stream. He replaced and in the process broke his own tool. He had us up and running again in only two hours. Very happy with this guy and his business. He was the fastest person to respond to me on a Sunday. Others sent auto responses or had a service set up an appointment for later in the week. Very happy I called this guy. He worked while we worked to flip an apartment as three gay men painted and told fun stories, this guy was very comfortable with us and gave me a fair price for the work. read more

Matt changed the layout of a large storage room; split it into a smaller storage room and hallway. It was a complicated job but the result was excellent. He often worked on the house while I was away (very trust worthy.) I will use Matt in the future and would highly recommend him to a potential customer. read more
