I thought I knew what Acupuncture was all about before I went to Krista. It's just needles, right?…read moreI was totally wrong! Fast forward to Krista Essler - she did nothing of what I expected. She actually listened to me and started our first session asking alot of questions about me and hearing me out on the issues that concerned me most. I decided to try acupuncture for chronic insomnia that I have experienced for most of my life in addition to carpal tunnel syndrome pain despite having two surgeries. Her advice and treatments saved me from taking prescription sleep pills and injections for pain which is the only thing doctors would ever recommend despite my fears of their potential side effects. I wanted to solve the problems, not cover them up with a temporary fix. Krista's methodologies include holistic therapy, nutrition, and supplements with acupunture to deliver real results. Her treatments and recommendations have been real game changers in dealing with my issues. She was able to identify triggers that contributed to my insomnia that I didn't even realize were part of the problem. She has incredible accuracy in finding the origin of painful areas and uses several different techniques to treat the areas. I also even enjoy going to her for a session to help me relax and de-stress. I'll just list some of the things that make her treatments different and more effective than other acupuncturists: 1. She listens to you and documents the history of what is ailing you throughout your entire body whether it's stress, pain, or chronic medical issues. 2. She treats the "root" of the problem and will do research to learn more about you. 3. She will do multiple treatments during one session if necessary (so don't expect your treatment to be a quickie). 4. She recommends foods/supplements that will actually help with your ailment. 5. She's truly concerned with helping you! Krista is a sweetheart and she's really there for the well being of her patients. She actively stays up to date about holistic therapies and treatments that are truly effective. She will even try these treatments on herself to test their effectiveness. I feel fortunate to have met Krista and I highly recommend her to anyone! Take the time to see her more than once. You won't regret it.

I received Dr. Shaeffer's name at my last primary care visit. I was pleasantly surprised to get an immediate appointment and evaluation. During the eval he did a through hands on assessment, a tibia realignment and educated me about what was causing my pain. I cannot tell you how much this education has helped me put my knee issues into perspective. Dr. Sheaffer has given me the knowledge to make informed decision and strengthening and stretching exercises that are putting my pain at a much more manageable level. I am very grateful. Marie S

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and highly skilled in all facets of injury rehab. What is rare in other facilities is that you will see the therapists at MRPT discuss your case with each other rather than simply following a cookie-cutter exercise regimen. The results speak for themselves; if you can go to MRPT for injury rehab, it is well worth any extra travel time that you might experience.

However, after being assigned Dr. Weiyu Lu, I wanted to make sure I warned anyone else considering this office and him for help. Dr. Lu has failed to provide the care I needed and is unwilling to help me with my personal medical conditions.
