I placed an order through Slice App and received a voicemail from Fattes Pizza at 4:37 PM asking me to call about the order. I called back at 4:40 PM. After a few minutes on the phone, the interaction felt unnecessarily suspicious and uncomfortable, so I cancelled the order. I then contacted Slice support, who called the shop and relayed that the order was already "on the way." Given the timing, that didn't seem credible. My issue isn't the food, it's the lack of transparency and how the cancellation was handled. We had been regular customers prior to this, but based on this experience, I wouldn't order from here again. I'd recommend customers assume there may be little to no cancellation window once an order is placed. read more

Good little hidden gem pizza spot in the Southbay. If you like the flavor of Chucky Cheese Pizza then you'll really like Fatte's Pizza, taste bout the same but thicker & more cheese which is good, makes sense they also have a mouse as their character. They also have very good Buffalo Wings & good ranch dressing & if you like garlic get their Garlic Bread, very garlicky & good if you like garlic. Look up their family deans they have good ones, over all prices are good, Customer service is good the young lady there is always nice make sure she takes your order if you can, she gets it right all the same. I don't even know why I'm leaving two stars. This was the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. The wings were extremely over priced. I wasn't expecting the garlic bread to be the sandwich bread but that's ok. It was decent I guess. I could have done better with the left over sandwich bread, some butter, minced garlic from the jar and garlic powder in my pantry but convenience... that was not a New York style pizza. I hate living bad reviews of local places and this has taken me couple days to do this but I wanted people to know and hopefully some feedback can help. The pizza prices are average & they do have 2 for 1 deals, & the pepperoni is really good, but the dough is somewhat chewy.

We were very disappointed with our recent order. One of the pizza slices my spouse ate had a strand of hair baked into it (see photos). It was completely disgusting and we had to throw the rest of the pizza away. This was a waste of money and very concerning from a food safety standpoint. I have to admit their name is a little...weird? But once you get past that and taste the pizza. You wouldn't care what the name is. Fatte's is located in a strip mall adjacent to Southwestern College and Bonita High School. It's a tiny spot with a few tables inside. Simple but clean. I ordered a sausage, bell pepper and mushroom pizza. The pizza was just loaded with toppings. They really don't skimp. Of course, it's always buy one get one free. Our second pizza was a simple cheese pizza for my kids. Both pizzas had a nice crust and a tasty red sauce. With a grand total of about $19 for both pizzas. You can't go wrong. read more

Can I give no stars? As in, we didn't get any of our order. Was supposed to open at 11 am, so we called at 11:10 to place an order. Person taking the order was confused, didn't know the menu or specials. Finally got order done and was promised it would be ready at 11:30. Arrived at 11:30, store was locked, lights off. Woman came a minute later, unlocked the door and went in. When we came in, she asked if she could help, we said we were there to pick up our order. She said she could get it started for us. Service was abysmal. The workers barely spoke English, and whoever was helping me couldn't get the car reader working right. I felt awkward the whole time. We finally checked this spot out over the weekend, and it was a hit! I'm usually not much of a pizza person (unlike my husband), but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a large pepperoni, and I loved that it didn't have that heavy, doughy crust you find at most places. The pizza was pretty good, but there were a couple flaws... I had ordered one Pizza box with half pepperoni and half sausage and one pepperoni pizza box. I was disappointed to see the half and half box was just STRAIGHT sausage. And there was so little pepperoni, that I could've COUNTED them. But like I said, the pizza's taste overshadowed the flaws. The pizza was delicious. I had the Fatte's special pizza and a pepperoni pizza. The toppings were generous and fresh. He asked what sauces I'd like on the pizza which I thought was nice cause I didn't feel rushed in my order. The customer service was great he was helpful with the current specials without me having to ask. When we came in to pick up they looked to be busy with a big order which is a good sign they know what they're doing. What can I say? My kiddo still loves this place for his pizza cravings, and they aren't bad. The price has increased... but it's $16.99 starting for Buy 1 Get 1 Free pizza... depending on the size. ( As shown in my pic from 2 years ago it use to be $12.99) My son finished a medium all by himself while my husband and I still had a few pieces left over from sharing ours! That should give you a pretty big indicator that this place fulfills a child's heart and stomach! Did you see the toppings? They know how to make a pizza without skimping out on those yummy goodness on top. You can also do half-n-half pizzas, which is great when we are craving different pizza toppings! The online apps are a MESS when ordering, we've had a couple of occasions where we don't get the buy 1 get 1 offer. I believe I've tried "slice," but it's better to call it in and pick up or come on down and eat inside! Everything is back to booth seating, limited but available! The pizza was really yummy. The only complaint I have is the website. It doesn't specify the sizes small, medium, or large. We tried the Fatte's Special Pizza for the first time and it was really good, highly recommend! We did order through Grubhub and didn't know about their regular buy 1 get 1 free deal. We found out after the fact that the deal does not apply if you order through Grubhub. You need to order on their website or in person to get the deal. Fatte's pizza is the best I've ever eaten. After years and years of enjoying Fatte's excellent pizza, I wanted to leave a 5-star rating and this review. I've had pizza all over the world when I traveled for business (McDonalds and pizza were always safe dishes - never had any problems). I've had pizza in Italy (not very tasty), in the Philippines, and in many other locations. I've had NY pizza, Chicago pizza, and pizza in many, many states. I had pizza in Puerto Rico and Canada too. Today we placed an order at Fatte's Pizza 1550 E H St. Chula Vista 91913. We ordered a total of 8 pizzas for a family gathering. We order every Friday from Fatte's but this time while my 12 year old son was eating a cheese pizza he found a bandaid baked into the pizza. When we called the restaurant they had the nerve to argue with us and tell us that no one had a bandaid on. Well obviously because it was baked into the cheese pizza. My husband asked for a refund and they refused saying it was not true. Well, it was true and we were loyal customers for over 5 years. They really need to be checked out for sanitary purposes, and it is quite irresponsible for the owners son to have told my husband that there was nothing he could do after driving himself over there and taking him the plate with the bandaid he argued was not theirs. Traumatized for sure! We have no need for free food! We are disgusted not only at what happened but at the fact that you continue to not take responsibility and call is liars. Rip off and misleading advertisement. We ordered a pizza online and it says "always buy 1 get 1 free" it doesn't say you need a coupon or call in only. We thought we were going to get two pizzas and only one delivered therefore we did not have enough food to feed our family. We called and they were extremely rude and they were saying that it only works if you "call in" and it says that NOWHERE on their website. Fattes update your damn website for misleading advertising!
