(Though, what doesn't, lol) I came in here looking for a shirt that would be flattering, kind of modest and covering my stomach, and make me feel pretty -while being not too flashy. Kind of ridiculously picky, right? Not to these saleswomen! Three of them walked around with me, talked to me, joked with me. They didn't care that I was smelly fresh from the gym or opinionated on everything. In the end I ended up looking at a blue sparkly shirt, unsure how I'd look in it- and a saleswoman came up to me, told me she had it, and told me how she styled it. She helped me pick the right size and made me feel so good about myself, though I'm not a standard "sample size." When I walked in, clearly nervous, the woman folding clothes at the front said, "Come right in. You're in the right place. This is what we are here for!" A+. I know it's salespeople's jobs to be kind and sell stuff, but they went above and beyond with customer experience. They made me feel beautiful when I never do. And not judged. Great experience. Most places have the top and bottom as one size and sold together. Torrid, sells their swimsuits separately, which is a bit more expensive but totally worth it. I ordered online and it was a 40% off sale day. Fantastic! However when it arrived, the top was just a bit too small. I drove out the the Maine mall and asked if they would take an online return. They did, and I got a tip that was 2 sizes bigger. The person at the register seems apprehensive about the online return at first. However once she realized, she was very kind and asked if I wanted to try the new top on. It's a good thing I did, because it was too large. I finally got one that was just the right size. Perfect for me! So I was very happy to have had a great experience and this is my 3rd torrid bathing suit, they really are very nice for the big ladies. The staff were friendly and even asked my wife if she already had a spot picked out to place it for the raven book decor she was buying. Then went on to say it's a recent item to arrive and has been tempted to get for themselves too. This store has quite a selection of items, with a good amount of seasonal items currently with plenty of Halloween/fall things. They have clothing, crystals, incenses, and lots of nature inspired items. You'll see lots of mushrooms, plants, butterflies, skulls to give some examples. Prices did seem very reasonable for the most part. Overall the vibes here are an overall nice and inviting shop with items marketed towards open minded free spirited people. Two things of note immediately: 1) is there ANY organization to this store?, because it sure doesn't seem like it, and... 2) it had a real post-Black Friday feel to it with clothing and accessories discarded in piles everywhere. I don't blame the staff for that necessarily, as I watched loads of customers literally abandoned piles of stuff wherever they wanted when they realized, I guess, they didn't actually want to buy them. Also, another reviewer mentioned the lack of staff at the Fitting Rooms; this actually felt very normal (at least it is in other parts of the world from what I've experienced) , so I appreciated just being able to help myself to a room whenever I wanted (...granted, they were also messy with customer's deserted stuff). In the end, on this particular occasion, I left with two items: a very cute, white sweater with golden sparkly thread AND a fantastic little black dress. Pricetag? Under $50. And the person at the cash register was SO friendly and engaging; she gave me an enormous brown paper bag for free when she saw I had been toting around all my Kitchen Store Outlet stuff in my arms. I don't know that I'm rushing back here anytime soon, but if I'm in the area and I've got the time to explore, I'd come back to see what gems might find me! The staff is non-existent around the fitting room, so customers are always having to go find someone to unlock a door. The value of some of the items is reasonable, when it's on sale, but the headache of having to sort through unorganized sizes and color is just not worth it in my mind.

It's in the middle of a major renovation so, there was a large tent where the women's and men's clothing was located and you couldn't get to the giant boot for a photo - but they had a temporary option set up with their boot car. Cute. I loved walking through the Home and Outdoor stores and shopping for items I've never seen in person before. This is a very nice corporate headquarters and flagship office area. The whole place is HUGE, divided into separate buildings (outdoors/home/clothing/etc) so make sure you leave time. I was shocked to find the main building is open 24/7. Some things are ridiculously overpriced (Internet search!), and I willingly paid... because I wanted to. Many of the quality items, IYKYK, are completely worth it because you'll own them for life. I still own mocs from my uni days.
