Delicious food period. Great service, hopping music vibe, stunning port views of the ships and water. Good prices on drinks and food. The house margarita is strong and solid here! The grilled garlic and butter shrimp entree is outstanding. Perfectly done shrimp! The chicken fajita plate is a big portion and delicious as well. Get these and your solid. The house hot sauce is way hot so be careful with that if you get it.

My frozen daiquiri ($9) was pretty tasty, and the location at the cruise ship dock was prime. They accepted US currency, had free wi-fi, weren't too loud, and the service was pretty fast. Pretty nice.

Make sure you stop here. Colorful, Authentic Decor, Traditional Music and right by the water. Close walk from the cruise port. The food here is good and big portions. Service a little slow but probably with the flow of people in and out, it's hard to tell who is ordering or just taking a load off. Their drinks are amazing and delicious. So cool, creamy and smooth. I always get the Mudslide and my husband gets the non-alcohol version of the Mango Pineapple. The flavors are delectable. Every time I'm in Mexico I find a Fat Tuesday! There is also one in Biloxi I missed while at Cruisin' the Coast a few months ago. A must Try!!!

I've been to Fat Tuesday twice on separate trips to Cozumel. The location and atmosphere of the bar are somewhat alluring to the inebriated souls that pass by, looking for one last round before they must return to their ship. The open, beachy ambiance and promise of New Orleans-style daiquiris just draw you in like some sort of magic spell. As with any good magic spell, after being suckered in you are cursed with slow service and sub-standard food. I ordered nachos since I was just looking for a bite and I was brought a full-sized to-go box full of over-salted, round tortilla chips covered in ballpark-style nacho cheese. Not what I was expecting. They slightly redeemed themselves by presenting a cup full of freshly-smashed guacamole, but only slightly because it didn't mix well with the orange cheese that made me reminisce of miserable childhood days spent in the stands of the dreaded ballpark. The beers were cold and refreshing, although we didn't venture beyond Dos Equis (when in Rome). To sum up my experience, I am reminded of the words that a witch doctor of sorts once told me: "Everything that glitters isn't gold."

    It's getting real now!!!

I actually enjoyed our stop here, we were drawn in by the free wi-fi sign (apparently we can't even go a day and a half without wi-fi withdrawls). Anyhow, we were seated on the patio near the water where we could see our ship, the Carnival Magic. We ordered our frozen drinks and some nachos and I was in heaven. I'm reading the other reviews here and am perplexed. Either I don't get out enough or I'm easily impressed (possibly both). I loved the nachos. See my other reviews (Fuzzies Tacos) and you'll know I was searching for nachos and getting pretty upset because I was having a hard time finding what I wanted in Florida. The nachos here were EXACTLY what I was looking for. Apparently, when I want nachos, I just need to jump on a cruise ship and head to Cozumel. Who knew. On a side note, we were so happy with the Fat Tuesdays that when we spotted one in Honduras, we stopped in. I wasn't as impressed with that stop as I was with the one in Cozumel. So, take that as you wish. If we ever find ourselves in Cozumel again, we would stop in again. Enjoyed it.

This picture won't upload from Fat Tuesday ... Oh but maybe they will for Yelp!

They act like they're a huge favor for selling you a beer that's priced twice what it is in the next place over. AND, and, and, their WiFi blocks pictures. Tried FB and SMS... No pictures.

Their tone came across as aggressive and somewhat rude, which was surprising, but we assured them it wasn't an issue since we planned to order food and drinks anyway. Still, their approach left a sour first impression. This used to be our favorite spot 12 years ago when it was open to the public and free to enter. Back then, ordering food and drinks was optional, but the place has since changed under the ownership of Landmark Corp. Public access is no longer allowed without meeting their requirements or paying a fee. There are a few important things to note: sunscreen is not allowed, and there is no lifeguard on duty, so swimming and snorkeling are entirely at your own risk. The menu now caters primarily to tourists, featuring westernized dishes with a touch of Mexican cuisine. Prices are similar to what you'd find in the U.S., which is expected for a tourist destination. Cruise ships frequently drop off passengers here, so lounge chairs tend to fill up quickly until they leave. Additionally, paying by credit card incurs a transaction fee, so using pesos is the better option. If I hadn't come with my kids--and if visiting the Money Bar wasn't the main reason for our trip to Cozumel--I might have walked away. This place holds so many special memories from when we were single and used to travel to Mexico often, but the changes have made it feel far less welcoming than it once was.

Kinda figure out if you cannot beat the system then go along with it. The food and service is alright at this place. There are some waves and current at the beach, kinda have to put some effort to swim and to snorkle in here. I would say this isnt the best place to enjoy the beach. If you go down more to the south you may find better beach, say Playa Palancar ; ) So, next time skip this place and go down more south ; )

When we got off the ship there was a line of taxis ready to go and the ride cost $20 for two people one way. When we arrived, the staff greeted us and guided us to the front desk where we checked in for our reservation. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time because it definitely helps expedite your entrance. One thing worth noting is that when we booked online it didn't show cabanas available, but when we arrived the host checked and was able to get us into one. I highly recommend getting a cabana if one is available because it gives you a nice private area to relax. That said, there are also plenty of tables with covered umbrellas that provide shade from the sun. What really stood out about this place was the level of service. It was incredibly attentive. I honestly don't think we ever waited more than a few minutes before someone came by asking if we needed another drink or more food. Our servers were Juan and Pops/Eric and both of them were fantastic. It felt like every time I turned my head one of them was checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They offer all-inclusive food and you can either go up to the buffet or order directly from the menu and have it delivered to your table or cabana. The property also has multiple pools, massage services, swim-up areas, and gift shops around the resort. At one point what appeared to be a manager came by and asked how we heard about the place and checked in on how our experience was going. That really reinforced how focused they are on service. The location is right on the beach so you get beautiful ocean views while enjoying unlimited food and drinks throughout the day. Overall Mr. Sancho's delivers a great beach day experience with excellent service and it's definitely a place I would visit again when returning to Cozumel.

I know it was the nachos because my husband and I ate the same things yesterday with the exception of the imitation crab on the nachos. He said the nachos tasted disgusting to him. We went back to our room, and about 3 hours later I woke up and immediately started projectile vomiting. I spent most of the night in the bathroom feeling like I was going to die. I thought the imitation crab tasted a little off, but just chalked it up to being different than what I'm used to in the states. Big MISTAKE. I've managed to slow down in the vomiting and trips to the bathroom but I still feel awful. Nauseated, headache (probably from dehydration), stomach pain and back pain....I assume that's from how hard I was retching. We will never go back.
