Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised how vast this lounge was! Definitely a quiet respite…read morefrom the hustle and bustle of the food court and waiting areas. There are a ton of spots to sit at (table, bar, sofas, individual seats) and clean restrooms inside as well. While the food isn't amazing, it's enough to satisfy. There are buffet items like cucumber and carrots slices, make your own chilaquiles (sauce is watered down), eggs and hotdogs (yes, together), fruit, and small Mexican cookies. And the waiters walking around will hand out a small menu card for items one can order fresh. From walking around and seeing other people's picks, the fajita chicken seems the most appetizing. It's definitely a healthier tasting option (lightly seasoned, grilled onions and peppers, and white rice), and the sautéed vegetables delivered with lightly seasoned zucchini, carrots, and eggplant. The pasta dishes looked reminiscent of cafeteria boiled pasta with a spoonful of canned tomato sauce on top, and the tuna sandwiches looked very underwhelming. Our server was really hardworking and made his rounds often, checking up on everyone. Don't forget to bring some cash to tip the waiter :) I wished there was a place to refill water glasses instead of waiting for or having to flag down someone though. Again, come with very low expectations for the food, but enjoy a comfortable and quiet place to wait for the flight!

This place should just be called a lounge. It's almost 2 pm and there's leftover soup of some kind, no label to tell you what it is. There's an empty bowl where sour cream on e lived and a few shreds of what look like cheese in a bowl next to that...and two lovely bowls of old tortilla chips. Oh, you do get an option of some refried beans, green or red salsa....but even the green salsa is nearly gone. There ARE some sliced carrots and celery, and what I think are sliced beets. That's it. That's the food in the "designated food area" No fresh meats, no fresh veggies, no salads, no fresh desserts, nuts, yogurt, or fresh fruit. It's a barren wasteland of food possibilities but not probabilities. You can, should you choose, to ask a waiter (if you can find one) for a "menu," a small pocket sized , laminated card with about 4 options for "food" and by that I mean hot dog, vegetables, ham and turkey sandwich, and a chicken fajita (that had two pieces of pepper, and a chicken that looked like it had been cooked last week. I'm not sure who decided that this was quality food and drink enough to be called a VIP lounge, but it's not even close to what you can get at STK (which is sad, because you EXPECT more from from Priority Pass) Well, may the odds be ever in your favor if you come here. Other than free rail drinks (nothing top shelf) this place doesn't offer much. I'll not be giving my patronage to this place again, if this is the kind of VIP "service" you receive.

Grand Velas Los Cabos - Grab a cup of coffee in the lobby and sit back and enjoy. I always added some Bailey's to the coffee to start the morning off right! Cheers!

What went well? Most everything! My husband and I enjoyed an anniversary celebration at this…read more "We-aim-to-please", all-inclusive, five star resort that earned every star it gets. There are 2 hotels - Grand Velas (family-oriented) and Grand Velas Boutique (adults only). We stayed in the Grand Velas since most of the restaurants are located in the main hotel. From the vacation experience agent, Leonila, to our guest experience agent Thamara, to our personal concierge, Tony, this journey was destined for success. We enjoyed working with each person, even prior to our arrival. The car service arranged through the hotel was smooth except for the outer-bands, post-hurricane sudden downpour at the airport. It's weather so what can you do about it? I understand such events are infrequent in Cabo, however. Both drivers were friendly and conversational. The resort is beautiful with curved walkways, 3 outdoor pools, with at least 1 outdoor large jacuzzi, and a tropical landscape. The infinity edge of the adult pool extended its view into the ocean! There is also a Teen Clubroom and a children's play area near the family pools. It is a well-staffed property with pleasant and polite team members at every level. If we happened to lose our way, the staff not only provided directions but took the time to walk with us to our destination!!! Tony, our personal concierge was in constant communication and our go-to for questions and support. He elevated our anniversary celebration by providing us with several personalized surprises! His contributions provided us with great memories! Delightful experience at every restaurant, especially the many fine dining establishments. (Individual restaurant reviews coming soon). The luxury spa (the water journey was very relaxing), a reserved photoshoot (beautiful and professional photos), and wonderful poolside service, including a frozen treat cart and in-pool (literally) cocktail service, were all worth the time. The resort offers a daily schedule of on-resort activities in addition to access to off-resort activities. Two tips: 1) I recommend boxing out a couple of hours for post -water journey relaxation to enjoy the benefits of this detoxing, muscle stimulating, de-stressing experience. 2) plan for 2 appointments for the photoshoot, first for the shoot, a second, to select your photos. I've seen reviews of other all-inclusive properties where guests say after 3 days, they tire of the food choices. You will not have that problem here. Depending on your activity schedule you could easily spend 5 days here and not get bored. Looking forward to returning here as it was at the top of the list for vacation experiences.

We actually stayed that the boutique but since they only have 1 restaurant on property, we found…read moreourselves at regular resort a lot. They also offered cooking classes, mixology, and wine tasting exclusively at the regular resort. What a getaway! We loved everything about Grand Velas except having to join some areas with kids such as restaurants. They should have an adult only session of each restaurant, and not exclusively for those at the boutique but for those on property who have their kids in kids' club and want to just enjoy one another at dinner. My idea would by like the smoking and non-smoking sections in a restaurant; sure you're not "protected" against kids but you have a greater chance of being separated from them. Besides all the amazing all-inclusive food, my favorite part of each restaurant were the views.
