The decor is classy with black and white photos, and the chairs are comfortable. We were told to sit anywhere we liked, and we chose a table in the middle of the restaurant next to a wall - perfect for people watching and seeing what food was coming out of the kitchen. My husband selected the prosciutto and funghi pizza, and I chose spaghetti carbonara. Both dishes were phenomenal! My spaghetti was perfectly al dente and rich! My husband's pizza had a very nice char, and when hot chili oil was added, the taste was out of this world!!! We have this establishment on our list to try again - it was that good!!!!

My two kids and I had an early dinner here on a weekday (~4:30pm) and were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived. People steadily showed up throughout our meal and by the time we left after dessert it was filling up. We did not have a reservation and didn't need one due to the timing. Food was very good and came in generous portions. My kids shared the gnocchi and it was more than enough for the two of them. (There is no kids menu here!) I had a pizza with spicy salami and it was enough for two meals. The leftovers were packed well and tasted great the next day. A surprise hit was the dessert menu - gelato was surprisingly inexpensive at around CHF 4 and portions were HUGE. My kids were delighted. Service was attentive but not hovering, our waiter spoke English, and we had a great time in the lovely, open space. Prices were less expensive than I expected, though definitely not "cheap" by American standards :) We will definitely return when in Zurich!

This is a men's swimming area, but on summer evenings it turns into a poolside lounge and bar…read more Don't be conjuring up images of swimming pools, because the "pool" here is actually part of the man-made Schanzengraben river that used to surround the original city of Zürich. You can still see the old stone walls outside that used to line the moat. Rimini closes when it rains, but we were lucky enough to stay by huddling under giant umbrellas because it rained AFTER we got in. They even put a giant umbrella over the barbecue grill and kept right on grilling! Cool place to chill for a drink after work and get some pizza or bratwurst or cervelat outdoors. Very relaxed atmosphere.

In the day time its supposedly a men's only public swimming river (called a BADI in Switzerland) and towards the evening it becomes a bar by the Schanzengraben River. A beer was about CHF 7,- and a Apéro Spritz about CHF 12,-. The serve little snacks too and what's really important is that its CASH ONLY. I am a big fan and cannot wait to go back, I just can imagine that this place is completely packed in the summer. Little hidden paradise in the city. **Swiss German Word of the Week: BADI English: lakeside public swimming area German: Seebad, French: piscine en plein air Italian: piscina Romansh: bogn avert).

It's a bit divey, for sure, but not in a dirty or dingy way. Despite Yelp saying that credit cards are accepted here, the bartenders told me otherwise (with a 30CHF bill), so keep that in mind if you're visiting from out of town and have limited Swiss currency. I'm guessing those instances are probably limited, given the relative neighborhood-y feel to the bar, but with its proximity to the train station you never know. There's not much specifically identifiable as great about Olé Olé, but it's the culmination of everything about the place that just makes it generally lovable. The bartender gals are cheerful and charming, and even manage to have their own labeled beer as a result of their infamy. The patrons are chill, but friendly, so much so that we wound up back at the flat of one of the people we met at the bar to have some after-hours drinks and inevitably chat about global politics (some things never change). Pricing seemed decent, with 4 beers (I think) being about 25-30CHF. They only had the local beer Amboss on draft in two varieties, which was pretty mediocre, but still better than the Bud or Miller products you would find in a similar dive back in the U.S. This definitely feels like more of a shots or whiskey sipping kind of bar. The bathroom deserves its own special mention here, with some of the most odd / interesting decor I've ever seen, featuring a full size skeleton hovering over the toilet with a bouquet of flowers for a groin, and a machine that dispenses something called "Travel Pussy".

The crowd is kinda down-to-earth till the a-wanna-be-a-hipster. The music is nice (alternative - Rock). Prices of drinks are OK. Normal prices for Kreis 4. Just pay attention, it is a narrow bar. It gets difficult when you are with more then 4 people. And you can not be outside because it is right at the street. For sure a place to go once in a while.
