I wasn't hungry enough to grab a Falafel Wrap, so I decided to instead go with the Bag of Falafels ("Bag of 7 freshly cooked falafels"). It was handed to me the second I finished paying and I was off. As I suspected, it's worth the wait. This is some of the best falafel I've had in quite some time. They're light and fluffy but with a good exterior crunch. The subtle flavor is terrific, too. And the included tahini sauce elevates the whole experience. I do kinda wish I'd gotten the wrap, because I'm sure it was excellent.

A little ball of dough is punched out in air and spun about 18 feet into the air, put on a pillow and transferred to the rounded grill....I'm sure there's a name for it but no clue. Someone message me if you know what the grill is called. We got the Syrian Pizza with Syrian sauce, cheese and tomatoes. It's served as a wrap. So flavourful! Also had their fresh falafal, also good...but the Pizza is better.

The falafel is perfectly done just the way I like them, the Hummus was spot on and my favorite was the falafel sandwich! The sandwich is loaded with flavors so my taste buds were dancing lol The price I found reasonable. The service was fast. The fries were nice and hot. The restaurant is very tiny so please do not go with a large group of people. There are 4 two seater tables on the sidewalk. I will come back the next time and try the falafel.

For us modest appetites, this is easily 3 meals - easily! We ordered 2 plates and a sandwich for 4 people and still had enough leftovers for a small breakfast the morning after. My personal favorite was the mixed shawarma plate. I love how it comes with pita made specifically for Shawarma Palace, rice, potatoes, salad, pickled veg, and the meat. We also got the mixed kabob plate which featured tender beef but the chicken kabob was just a hair bit dry. The falafel sandwich was actually very dry and I would not recommend this. We also picked up some baklava for dessert after and I liked how it was just sweet enough! You can taste the pistachios and I thought the kiss of rose water was just enough to make the bite memorable!

My husband got the chicken and beef platter. It came with rice, salad, potatoes, hummus, garlic sauce, and a sesame dressing. Everything was so fresh and the flavor was just out of this world. We got a pita on the side and made our own wraps. The platter works for two people, maybe even 3. Depends on how hungry you are. They give you a generous portion. We walked in and there was only one other customer. And then after we sat down sooooooo many people filed in. The restaurant is very clean and lots of room to sit inside. The employees are very friendly and they do not skimp on the sauces or the meat. We were thoroughly satisfied and can't wait to return for another vacation in Canada.

The mom and her son both work there, which I thought was so sweet. The restaurant itself is medium-sized, nothing too fancy, but really nice with a warm, comfortable vibe. Now the FOOD... honestly, AMAZING! My sister and I were super hungry, so naturally we decided to order half the menu thinking we were going to eat everything . They were also very accommodating with my gluten-free needs, which I really appreciated. We ordered the foul, fatta, eggs, grilled cheese, falafel, and a few other things to try, and everything tasted amazing. And let me tell you something about the eggs... I'm really not an egg person. I can easily live without them . But the eggs here?? SO GOOD! I actually enjoyed them, which says a lot coming from me! Great food, nice atmosphere, lovely family running the place, and they made me feel comfortable with my gluten-free needs. Would I go back? Absolutely!

So I was thrilled when I heard that they would be providing the food for one of our work functions. They came on site, so the food was freshly made to order. I had the falafel sandwich and a fattouch salad. The falafels in the sandwich were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. So delicious. It also had tomatoes, radishes, pickles, parsley and tahini, all wrapped in a pita. Easily one of the best falafel I've had in Ottawa. My only complaint is that it was a bit on the small side. Ok for small appetites, but likely too small for average to large appetites, and I definitely fall into the latter category, haha. The fattouch salad had romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, parsley, and radishes, all tossed in an oil and vinegar dressing with sumac. I think they usually have pita chips, but mine didn't have any :( It was a little overdressed for my liking, but I like very little dressing on my salad. Service was relatively quick and was friendly. Not sure when I'll be in their usual neighbourhood next, but when I am, I'll need to grab another falafel sandwich ;)
