Truely an amazing sight a well known high street shop in a tiny seaside village on the south west coast of Anglesey. A village that is not only just about as far from the main road (A55) as you can get on Anglesey, but also a village that is on a dead end road, with no passing trade at all. On a rainy, blustery Wednesday in January Rhosneigr seemed to be in hibernation. I vaguely remember visiting in the warmer sunnier months as a child and it being busy and full of surfing, swimming tourists, presumably that's how Fat Face came to find a home here. There was also a post office and minimarket, a cafe and a hotel on the approach to the village. They have all the same stuff as the more urban branches, surfy casual threads for todays youth and the older person trying to knock a few years off! Good quality stuff generally, it in slight need of a re-vamp/re-branding/new direction in my humble opinion (just a bit fed up of the same old Fat Face zip up sweaters/fleeces every season)... didn't pluck up the courage to ask the staff how they ended up there or if the store was doing well in these times of tightening purse strings they were happy enough drinking tea and welcoming the occasional customer :o)
Four stars for surprising me! read more
