Some really nice things here, but it might take a little hunt through some tat. Strange to see the car park ramajammed with cars, MFI for years had the obligatory 3 cars maximum when the manager, cleaner and sales assistant were all in together. Minus one star for tat and a poor range in some things... why when you go to these places for something basic eg a mug, must we have 500 varieties of mugs with horrid designs and not a sturdy beige mug in sight.... I also hear they're not great employers (at least locally), so be nice to the staff even if they look miserable!

Almost every single DIY related product that you can imagine is stocked here. On top of this, the staff are always friendly and keen to please. On a rare occasion that I was not able to find the product that I required, an extremely friendly man called Alun went and checked in the stock room; lo and behold, the product was there, hidden underneath some old Christmas trees. The parking is ample, even on the weekends. A word of warning, Caernarfon road can get busy especially at weekends.

The staff are always accommodating and will try their best to help you; the are skilled technicians and know their stuff, although I would always recommend taking your own tape-measure to ensure perfect accuracy. One problem is that the parking is quite limited, maybe only around fifteen spaces. The shop is never packed out, but occasionally you have to park elsewhere. It is quite expensive, but the sales are fairly frequent and usually contain a bargain or two.
