Ah, Fat Face, you never fail to disappoint.
Stocking what should be quirky, off-beat and fashionable garb, Fat Face always seems to fall just short of great. I used to wander in here quite frequently and have a bit of a look around, but I'm not sure I ever actually purchased anything. I did buy an absolutely gorgeous scarf once, but returned it because my reasonable mind (and my bank balance!) won in the end, convincing me that £20 is not an acceptable price for a scarf whose near-twin I could buy at Republic for half the price.
I think it's a good store for stylish outdoorsy types, but again, the prices are inflated that little bit too much to be deemed reasonable. They have an outlet at McArthur Glen in Livingstone, but I seem to remember there being nothing quite like what they sell in the actual stores. Often the children's stuff is more appealing than the ladies.
All in all, often pretty, but never really worth it. read more
