What a fun Asian-fusion-diner concept! Visited on Christmas (very glad to find they were open on a holiday) and had a really delicious lunch, inside Eureka casino. Friendly service, cute/typical diner ambiance, comfort food. Really enjoyed both items (pictured). The bao flight had great sauce, flavor, and texture, with super-soft buns. The sesame noodles were thoughtfully provided in two bowls, making it easy to share. Really satisfying noodles with a good amount of veggies (plus added chicken), perfect for a winter day! It's a tiny spot in a tiny casino off the strip. Very cool looking inside, very reminiscent of an east coast diner. I was debating between 2-4 stars and here's why. We went specifically for the bao, but wanted to try a good sampling, so we also intended to get the shrimp tempura and pot stickers. Well, they don't serve the shrimp tempura anymore (please remove it from your website) and they were completely out of pot stickers....at 1pm....on a Wednesday. So being that they didn't have literally half of what we wanted to order is why I wanted to give a 2 star. The staff is AMAZING!! Tammi Jo was our server and she was so fun! Chef came out to talk to us (I want to say it was Chef Grover, but don't quote me) and it's obvious he has love for this food. The staff is why I wanted to leave more stars. The food we did get to try was really really good!! We decided to split a pork belly and a duck bao (I'm a pork belly fan, my husband is a duck fan). The pork belly was excellent, but that duck bao was next level!!! I'm not the biggest fan of duck but I'll order that again before I order the pork belly. The duck skin was CRUNCHY, the meat was perfect mid rare and so juicy. The buns on all of them were perfectly steamed and super soft. The pork belly was also super tender and juicy....I could take or leave the peanuts. I liked the texture but the flavor did nothing. I will come back to try the pot stickers, but that duck bao is what will get me back in that door over and over again. read more

Went there on Friday with my wife because I sent on Triple D. Started out great. The Steam buns with pork belly was great. The spring rolls awesome!! But went with the three meat combo over white rice. The shrimp was not seasoned, the chicken was three 1/4" pieces of breast meat and tasted like leather and missing seasoning, the pork belly was the best meat of the three. The rice was undercooked and missing seasoning. My wife had the chicken and dry like leather. Fat Choy you need to do better. Whoever was cooking on the 12th of December needs to be fired!! This place took a dive, pun indented. It was recognized by Guy Fieri and appeared on his show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. This last visit the food was inedible. The fries were way too salty and soggy, the burger was burnt crispy and the bun was stale, the pot stickers were dried out and served cold. I've enjoyed the rib grilled cheese sandwich in the past which was featured has a signature dish on the show. It was embarrassing how bad it was. The rib meat was overcooked, mushy and overly seasoned, the bread was soaked in butter and then grilled so much so it had a gummy texture. We got our food to go so it was until we got home that we noticed how bad it was. It looked even worse than it tasted. Such a shame because it's located in a small but fun neighborhood casino. It is inside a small casino and yet the cafe itself is smoke-free. Next door to Pep Boys Sahara, great spot for lunch if you are having repairs done or just because. This place looks like such an average little diner...but the food is terrific! We have never had breakfast here and decided to give it a try... Hub ordered the chicken and waffle and I got the Asian fusion avocado toast. Mind you, these are smaller portion breakfast items..which is perfect for us. When hub ordered the waffle she asked him if he wanted hot spicy honey instead of syrup and he agreed to it....game changer on that meal. I had a bit of waffle and chicken with the hot honey and was so jealous I did not order that myself. My avocado toast was very different, but I liked it a lot...not something you would expect out what you might normally get. Wednesday 1/15/2025 Came across this spot while using Reddit to find the best and most recommended Las Vegas food. One review pointed out that the short rib grilled cheese was great, so I had to try it. The spot is inside a gambling arcade and looks like a standard diner. I ordered takeout through DoorDash and got the short rib grilled cheese $14 and the great bao flight (pork belly, tofu, duck) $16. - The short rib grilled cheese was decent, but I wish it could've been more portion-wise. The fries were mediocre. - The great bao flight came with a pork belly bao, a tofu bao, and a duck bao. The tofu bao was okay, but I wasn't a fan. The pork belly bao and duck bao were both good, but if I had to choose which was best, I'd say that title belongs to the pork belly bao. This place puts the "Dive" in DDD. The location is downright questionable at best. It is inside of a low rent casino and outside is not a place where I want to walk around. The restaurant itself is very clean, the people working here are really nice and helpful. The food was just ok. It looked great, presentation was nice but as one reviewer noted, it lacks flavor. Salt is the predominant flavor. The lo mein needs some ginger, sesame, white pepper and maybe a few other things. All the ingredients are there and the portion is huge, it is just one dimensional. Came into town for a weekend get away and wanted Chinese food. My brother and I saw fat chow and said why not. Walked into a casino and the restaurant was inside. Checked out the menu and decided to start with spring rolls and a pork boa both were good. But the pork boa was odd never had that before. Brother ordered a wanton soup and it was huge! Located in the Eureka family owned casino, this spot is not to be missed in Vegas! The menu is toted as Asian-American Fare and has a nice variety of choices for both breakfast and lunch/dinner. Fat Choy is an Asian American Diner sort of restaurant located in the Eureka Hotel/Casino by the Strat near the Las Vegas Strip. It's not a fancy place. It looks like an older American Diner. If this restaurant seems familiar to you then you might have seen it on Food Network's Diners Drive Ins and Dives. My husband can eat more than me so he started out by trying the pork belly bao buns. They were pretty darn good. They might have came out missing the crushed peanuts but they still tasted good. Then our main plates came. I had the salmon teriyaki rice bowl. The salmon was slightly over cooked and tasted slightly fishy. I received a generous amount of rice that was embellished with scallions and a teriyaki sauce. I don't know why but it took me back to decades past when I used to eat packaged frozen meals. I didn't enjoy this at all. My husband tried the crispy beef Korean BBQ rice bowl. The beef was not developed in any way with any kind of flavors. But it was prepared like dehydrated beef jerky and was very unpleasant to try to eat. My husband did complain to the waitress about the beef being all dried out and she said just put some sauce on it to moisten it up. The servers seemed nice but the entrees were horrible. read more

We have been a big fan of this place for years. We've been enjoying the baos since they were made in the back of the beauty shop. We have always recommended the restaurant and taken all our out of town guest there. That makes this review hard to write... Unfortunately the past three times we have gone things have changed. I wanted to think it was just an off night, but it seems to be the new normal. The food is no longer carefully made, the baos were missing the sauce and garnish. The bao roll itself was hard. And the service has also gone down. And the upkeep of the booths is lacking attention. Will I go back? Maybe but purely on the memory of the distant past. It's an American diner with an Asian inspired menu, but in a casino (in the Eureka) which threw me off when my family and I were trying to find where it was. The atmosphere is laid back, with low bassy music and sports on TV screens. Low lighting to match the casino. We were the only group in the restaurant when we arrived around 3pm. Service was great, and our server was helpful with some questions on the menu, and brought us extra condiments. I got the $5 burger and fries special, which was great, especially for the price! Great fries, and the burger was a solid choice, especially with me adding cheese for a dollar extra. However, the Asian fare was more sub-par. My parents got the wonton soup and the lo-mein. Both were heavy on the soy sauce and not much else flavor-wise came through in either of them and were both very one-note dishes. If I drop by next time, I'll stick to the more American side of the menu. read more

If you want good food, and with normal people price, this is the place for you, regular burger with fries $10, I also ordered some wings with fries, $9.99 I think I'm a little off with the pricing, but maybe .50-$1.00. Heard about this local place in the Eureka Casino and had to go try it. It was a Guy Fieri stop once before and on a chilly night a hearty bowl of wonton noodles really hit the spot! The location is amazing how dangerous this area is at night time, but after you walk thru the two security guards you see this little dumpy out of date diner. Oh boyyyyyy. This super tiny diner is in the middle of a tiny sketch smoked out casino off the strip. Cab driver never even heard of the place as he was taking us. He even asked us if we were sure this is the right place when he dropped us off. We were meeting some friends there so we weren't really sure. But we stuck it out. Glad we did because the lady working there was so sweet and made us feel so welcome. She made recommendations off the menu and I'm glad I listened! Today we had one of the most flavorful and delicious meals in Las Vegas and at an incredible price!! This is Fat Choy inside Eureka Casino (it's a small place, but super cute and VERY CLEAN - the place was spotless.) If you've never been add it to your list - once you go it will no doubt become a place you'll want to eat at again and again!! Fat Choy was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives back in 2016 and now we know why. We had the potstickers for appetizer and they were perfectly crispy on the outside, and so good. Our main dishes were the true standouts though: I had their Fat Choy Fried Rice with shrimp and their Asian honey glaze sauce, and my hubs had the Fat Choy burger that's topped with their mouth watering slow roasted short ribs (this is the burger Guy Fieri had when he visited) and WOW!!!! Our server Carla was the absolute best, and she informed us that tomorrow they'll have a new breakfast menu which includes chicken and waffles - so we're super stoked to return for breakfast soon! I brought my son in on a whim (we were early for a doctors appointment. This small venue had just sad a large and frankly difficult party. The team there quickly push our meals out.
