This place was stacked with more than I would have ever imagined for a small town grocery store. My only gripe was the lack of bakery that you come to expect from a chain grocery store. Other than that, they had everything we needed!

This is the closest and basically the only supermarket near us. Unfortunately, in the last six…read moremonths, their produce and meat departments have issues. For example, at this time of year, a new 4 lb. bag of Yukon Gold or yellow potatoes should look fresh, thinner-skinned and relatively clean (we bought one last week that was like this). Instead, the Price Chopper organization or store personnel are bagging or re-bagging older potatoes in with the new. In one four pound bag purchased yesterday, I found two older-looking potatoes with thick dark brown skins instead of the much paler, yellowy skin of new potatoes associated with this time of year. Other complaints include packing chicken in primarily larger packages instead of offering what used to be a wonderful selection of both small and large packages. Also, no sell by dates on containers of chicken livers (I called the store about this). The Price Chopper organization, in an effort to control prices lacks properly supervised and trained food department personnel. It is certainly displeasing long-time customers.

I actually enjoyed myself, and bought WAAAY more than I walked in to buy, thanks to the speedway app, I bought 3 soda's, 2 hats and a couple of snacks for my niece and nephew. What I have found is moldy fruit which was just put out on the shelf, rotten blueberries and strawberries & raspberries. Lettuce is rusty and old, The quality has gone done the drain. If this is what is being stocked, I believe I will need to shop elsewhere for fresh fruit and vegetables. I am sorry to have to say this. This has been my experience for a long time and now. Cannot say enough about the photo lab at Walgreens on James Street. I ordered signs and coasters…read morethat I made through the app for a wing party at the other walgreens close to my house. Ran in to pick them up on my way home from picking up some last minute party supplies at the Grocery Store. They were not done. Store Associate had no idea about coasters offered online and did not have the supplies to print. My party was two hours away and I was really upset that these things were not done or a call made to let me know there was an issue. Well on the off chance I contacted the store across town to see if they had supplies. They had the needed print stock and said they would make every effort to get them done . They saved the day had all my printing done as promised and I loved how everything turned out. Thanks for saving the day !!!

Walgreens needs to get it together. I understand they are the only drive thru pharmacy in Rome now…read morebut its been months since Rite Aid stores closed and they still suck. Scripts take forever to fill. Pay extra for delivery it doesn't happen. There's always an excuse. Hire more people or open another store. FIX IT!! Medical is important!!
