I have to give a great review for food and service. I called to make sure my Byrne Dairy had sub…read morerolls and spoke to Taylor who said yes they do. I was lucky enough to have Taylor waiting on me, she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Sub rolls are baked every morning, so they were fresh when I arrived. They are about 10" and they both had a great amount of meat. The two sizes are half and whole. All the fixings were fresh and because I was traveling, I didn't have any dressings put on and I was able to grab a knife and mayo/mustard in packets. So convenient. One sub was Italian with provolone the other was Turkey with provolone. They were delicious.

I've worked in Manhattan for 35 years and have eaten at every large deli in existence like Katz's , 2nd Avenue, etc. The Reuben at this Byrne dairy in Elbridge is huge & fantastic! I just had to take a bite although I am 90% vegan but it looked so damn good and my husband was raving about it. They also make a great veggie sandwich on terrific dark rye bread! My husband also likes their donuts. So my 5 stars is basically based on the Reuben, the veggie sandwich and the donuts lol!! My kids and their families were in and we placed an order over the phone for 8 different sandwiches to take on the boat. Everything was ready when we arrived to pick it up and the order was perfect. The people that work there are so kind and efficient. We also find the place to be very clean. We will continue to frequent this store

Okay so I'm not thinking I'm actually popular enough to have followers or anything however if you…read moreare one, you know from my previous posting that I burn about a tank of gas a day doing my job so because of this I am at convenience stores quite often. You also would know that my number one pet peeve about convenience stores is that they don't have washer fluid and or squeegees available near the gas pumps. This store was an exception. I have been here a few times before this review however this is the first time I actually went in. Every time I'm here they have had the washer fluid and nice brand new squeegees available. So that in itself in my opinion is enough for a good review. This time however like I said I went inside, the place is nice and clean, and even though I don't typically eat prepared foods from fast food places including convenience stores, I needed to make an exception this time so I grabbed a couple of breakfast sandwiches. They've got a really cool system setup at the register area, you put your purchase down on this big pad with some dots on it, it rings it up for you and gives you a total on the screen where you can then enter cash credit card etc. I threw some cash in there and it spit out my change. I guess if you don't like interacting with people this would be pretty cool. There were two people behind the counter and I stood there and had a chat with them for a few minutes, both of which were very polite and seemed as though they actually enjoy their jobs which is rare these days. The only other thing I can think of right now which kind of made me chuckle is when I got into my car and I was on my way and I'm eating these breakfast sandwiches, there are stickers on the bottom of them that have a date and a time and it says discard time next to it. The date is obviously today's date and the time on the one I was unwrapping was about 7 minutes away. So I ate the sandwich and a little while later I grabbed the other one and sure enough it had the same time on it so technically I'm eating this sandwich about 15 minutes past the time that it was supposed to be discarded. It kind of made me chuckle because I was pretty sure that upon opening this particular sandwich I wasn't going to find it green and furry because at 30 seconds past the discard time it instantly went bad . I am however going to stop in there again just out of curiosity and pick up a couple of random sandwiches and see if I can find one that is still sitting out past the discard time. I'm not going to make a big deal about it if I do because honestly those were made fresh this morning I'm guessing around 6:00 a.m. or so? And I was in there around 8:15 so it's not like they were bad or anything. Would just be kind of cool in my brain if I stop in there a couple more times and maybe get to know the people behind the counter a little bit so I've got a little bit of a repertoire with them to the point that I can bust their jobs holding up a sandwich that's 30 seconds expired and give them crap over it. But anyway, yeah this location seems pretty good. Hopefully nobody takes me seriously about my expired sandwich comments. They were both rather tasty.

After heading out of Rochester and on my way to Syracuse I needed to get fuel. My GPS had taken me…read morethe scenic route, and with being on vacation, I wasn't mad about that. But, with it being the scenic route I had no idea where I was or when I would see another gas station on the horizon. When I saw this on the horizon I was happy. When I pulled in, the pump I was going to pull up to was out of commission so my other option was to take the pump on the end or swing around. I chose the pump on the end, which at the time of me pulling up here was a tight squeeze. Another customer had a trailer and was blocking access for any through traffic. But at the time of me pulling in that didn't pose any problems. Until, that is, with all the other pumps open, another vehicle pulled up behind me. I had just got out of my vehicle, opened my fuel door and started the motions on the pump to pay at the pump. I looked back and saw her sitting in her vehicle given the 'hurry up' stare. Honey, I hadn't even started to pump and you think I'm finished? Luckily she got the hint when I finally pulled the pump and put it in my tank. After fueling up, I made my way inside to refresh myself and grab a few items. Something to note here, this is a shared space, Dunkin' resides in the same building and they have shared facilities. I used the facilities, clean, and made my way out to grab a few things for the rest of my travel. Fuel prices were on par for this area of New York.

WOW! HUGE, FRESH SANDWICHES AT A GREAT PRICE!…read more We stopped by this Byrne Dairy after a concert at St. Joseph's Lakeview Amphitheater (Counting Crows!). This Byrne Dairy is just down the hill from the concert venue at a fairgrounds entrance. It was busy with the post-concert crowd, and short-staffed, but nonetheless the late-night workers kept the line moving well. We don't have Byrne Dairy at home, and stopped in with getting some grab-and-go gas station typical eats in mind. But we were pleasantly surprised to see deli ordering options. We ordered a couple of large sandwiches. They ended up not being large sandwiches--but rather HUGE SANDWICHES! The large is essentially two standard size sandwiches PACKED with tons of fresh fillings! And they were not only abundant in size, but also abundantly fresh and delicious! My husband had a roast beef and pastrami sandwich. The meat was sliced thin and PILED HIGH! I had egg salad, which was also generously scooped. Our sandwich artist was FANTASTIC--she took the time to construct the sandwich with our custom topping picks in an entirely purposeful way that helped keep the behemoth-bulk of this mega-meal intact. We brought our sandwiches back to our room, and were thoroughly STUFFED! I could only finish half, saved the other half for breakfast. My husband wolfed his whole monster, exclaiming it was one of the best sandwiches he's ever had. Sometimes the great sandwiches of our lives come from unexpected places--like this Byrne Dairy! If you have a hankering for a superb sandwich at a STELLAR DEAL (just $9.49 per MASSIVE large sandwich!), look no further! :-O :-D
