Seems very unorganized. I called on Tuesday to get a very important test for work that was due by Friday. This test was advertised on their website. They needed to order the test tube for the test and said that it would be in by Wednesday or Thursday. I called both Wednesday and Thursday to see if test tube had come in and on Thursday no one knew anything about it and they told me to just get a doctor's order and go to lab corp. It was too late to get a doctor's order as the test was due Friday. Not sure why they didn't just tell me this on Tuesday. Not happy! They put me through a lot of unnecessary stress. Luckily I was able to find a place in Cary that had it in stock or I wouldn't have been able to work that weekend. read more

First off I have to say the Dr was great. The staff however I was sitting in the waiting room waiting to get called back when I noticed a women in a wheelchair trying to exit from the back through the door where you are brought in to wait for the dr. Well she was alone and as I got up to help her with the door she fell out of her wheelchair. There was no staff around luckily I caught this women before anything serious might have happened. I'm concerned with the people who work here. Why wouldn't they have helped her out of the door to the lobby or went to get the person they arrived with. Mind blowing. read more

Every summer we come up from Florida to visit family, and every year I usually develop some type of reaction / infection from hay fever allergies , or a sinus infection. The last 2 summers my toddler daughter has been developing similar reactions, and our 5 month old seems to be following in suit (must be the elevation). The FASTMed staff has ALWAYS been courteous and a blessing as they've addressed my medical concerns / needs and now my childrens' needs. I would 110% recommend this urgent care facility as they are knowledgeable, helpful, they keep the flow of patients moving nicely, and EVEN make follow-up calls checking to see how the treatment they've prescribed is going Maybe A LOT to say, but this place is a TRUE BLESSING for the residents of Clayton. I was recently there and had a terrible experience I waited in the waiting room for three hours before seeing a doctor. I saw the doctor for about five minutes he ran no test on me, and I was told to go to the emergency room. I paid $150 out-of-pocket I have no insurance it's right before Christmas what a waste of money. The intake nurse should do a better job of asking what is wrong with patients before they take Their money and are not able to run the right tests or help in any way. read more

I just explained what happened in the review. He even took your survey while he was waiting to see the doctor and wrote a complaint on about the poor customer service he was receiving at that time. Regardless if the online check in is not a full appointment it was your staff that failed to execute the proper steps for the visit. Basically, they literally forgot he was sitting there and get him in to see the doctor! 4 hours to late! I sent him your request to send you info via email but I think we will just issue a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to request a refund for failure to provide service for fees charged. read more

I took my 2 almost 3 year old to fast med Clayton off hwy 70 yesterday for an all over body rash the lady at the front desk told me if I did jot have an appointment I could not be seen. They close at 4 I was there at 3 pm. I explained I left work early called and was told they were open till 4 with no stipulation. She checks us in the RMA takes us back she gets my daughters vitals who has a heart rate of 140 .......the RMA asked questions and I explain the situation as why we were there and what my concerns were. In walks the nurse practitioner (I believe that's what he said his credentials were) and says "eczema is tricky you need to follow up with her pediatrician or dermatologist " he did not touch my daughter he didn't evaluate her he did look at her rash NOTHING ....then he said "you guys are free to go " as I'm walking out he asks was she born with eczema I stated that doesn't matter now like isn't that something you ask before you throw me out the door because you and your staff were ready to go home. It was obvious there was no compassion for the job they were ready to go and could care less about my child. read more

Well. The staff was very kind, but that's the only good thing. Last Saturday 9/15 We waited for 2 hours, paid $120 co-pay, and left with NOTHING!! She said he had "Virial pink eye" and there was nothing she could do!!! No drops or anything. So we leave- by Wednesday 9/19, it was way worse. I called and they gave us drops. It's now SATURDAY 9/22 and we are in the ER. Finally getting the right stuff!!!! The doctor said the eye drops the prescribed were horrible and to just give them to someone we don't like! Wow, that says a lot. Don't go here if you wanna get better. read more

Worst place ever!! I've been there a few times, trying to give the place another chance, you know. The Drs. are guessing most of the time, and to your surprise they are usually wrong in their guesses. Then you call trying to find a solution and guess what!!! they say you have to go again and pay them AGAIN!!! are you kidding me? Ahh, they say going there is faster, that's why their name is fastmed, well, it is not fast enough. you usually wait for 30 minutes or more to be seen by a nurse, then wait for the doctor!!!! RUN WHILE YOU CAN. there isn't anything urgent about this place. Had wait for about 2.5 hours while people are who came in after me were seen before me. The pregnant front desk lady is very rude, and unprofessional. She doesn't know the meaning of customer service. She had No clue what she was doing. She had to ask everybody else how to do her job. Talked about patients in front of other patients after they left, and it was all negative. As a healthcare provider you are not supposed to talk about patients using their whole name in front of patients. When I asked her question, she just looked and smiled at me, she just ignored me, and was just plain rude. Do not go here unless you want everybody to know your business. That woman should be fired. How she got a job, I'll never know. Oh then I had to go back for payment because she said I forgot to pay when I was never asked to pay. read more

Well I can't say i've ever enjoyed going here, but every time i have ended up here it was an emergency and they took good care of me and kept me out of the hospital. I think i'm up to 3 visits now. I have a $50 copay to this place, but a $500 copay to an ER. So yeah, I'm gong to try this first. There is usually a 15-20 minute wait (same at my reg doc). The staff is friendly and the PA can do all the basic stuff. I especially recommend it if you discovered you are going to need a prescription for antibiotics and it is 5:50pm on a holiday weekend. Now with that said, if you stumble in 1/2 dead they are going to tell you to go to the real hospital, but if you use it as a after hours doctors office it works well. read more

I recently took my teenager here for possible strep throat and while they were good , they seemed to run a lot of tests instead of just strep and I know why now that I got the bill and my portion after my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) paid their portion is going to be almost $300 !! The visit alone was $270. Just be aware of what it could cost you especially if you go on the weekend like I did. read more

Every year I take my son for his Boy Scouts physical and when I took him last week the woman at the front desk said they don't do physicals anymore. I went to the one located on the 40/42 and the lady at the front desk says they still do physicals and apologized for the woman at Clayton FastMed. I always have a bad experience there. I went in today to see the doctor about allergy symptoms. Over a dozen people in the waiting room when I arrived, some that said they had been waiting for 2 hours. I was never seen. After waiting over an hour, I went to check my place "in line". Desk staff was very short with me saying they could not estimate a wait time, only that there were 8 patients in front of me. I went to use the restroom and found 3 "white coats" chatting with each other and only one exam room door closed. I finally had to leave to pick up my daughter. All I got was a "well, you can come back". Second time I've had a horrible experience at this location. Guess I've learned my lesson now. read more

The customer service at the front desk was good but the doctors were a joke. I went in with symptoms of the flu, even though it was out of season. I was tested for strep and mono which I was sure I did not have and it turned out I didn't. They basically told me to go home and they did not know what it was. I would have rather gone to an emergency room. I had to pay $50 for nothing and it turns out they overcharged me for my visit. I should have stayed home and waited it out. After reading a particular review by Patrick M. , I felt the need to post one as well. I have been to this location many times, and while I do agree the wait times are terrible, the level of service provided was spectacular. I have been seen by PA Maggie and PA Joe on multiple occasions and I couldn't ask for better care once I was finally in. PA Maggie is a young and vibrant healthcare provider that helped me through many ailments, so to see Patrick M. write such a review is hard to believe. It sounds like he is one of those "guys" who will write a nasty review on every place he goes or thinks he went to Med school. For him to make a personal negative comment on a public platform about a provider who is trying to do their job is absolutely ridiculous to me. You should be ashamed of yourself! What he fails to understand is that these types of facilities get jammed up with tons of people who come in the second they have a minor cough or sneeze, and they do not have enough providers to see them quickly enough to mitigate wait times. Also, if your child is desperately ill, I do not believe a FastMed would be the appropriate place to go if it is that severe. Just a thought. read more

I have been a patient here for a little while and at first I was very impressed with the service but over the last six months it has gotten progressively worse. The person that answers the phone is rude and always makes me feel like I am a bother to her if I dare call. It is like pulling teeth to get refills called in and called to the correct pharmacy. I had a follow up appointment recently and was infuriated by the NP and the way she talked down to me. These people better wake up and realize that they work for the patient, not the other way around. I will not be going back to this doctor again after recent experiences nor will my husband. read more

Absolutely disgusting and horrible experience! I'm writing about the Hwy 70 location. I was left wondering how this location stays in business. The staff there have no business working in the medical field in any capacity (my opinion). After waiting an hour and a half in the lobby, (with 3 others in front of me) and another 55 minutes in a makeshift examination room with shoe prints, and dried blood coughed on the wall, (examination room #7 written on paper and taped to the door) I was able to see a p/a, not the doctor that I was told I would be seeing. The p/a spent about 3-5 minutes explaining to me that he was not a doctor and could not help me, and that there was not going to be a doctor there until next week. I explained to him that the receptionist had told me that I would be seeing a real doctor today, thus the reason for my visit. He told me that "the women up front don't know what their talking about". Well that's very reassuring that their staff "doesn't know what their talking about". In summation; I would recommend that you do yourself a huge favor, and avoid this place at all costs. Not worth the TIME, MONEY, and MISTREATMENT...... read more

Do not under any circumstances use this practice as a primary care manager. It is ok at best as urgent care, but they are not organized well at all for primary care. I should clarify a bit. In my many visits, they never know that they are my primary care provider. When I attempted to get an appointment with the primary care provider, I was told that she was booked, but that I was more than welcome to walk in. A week, and several tests later, nothing has been found, but that is ok, I was still being referred to the right people. However I was told that they could not provide anything for my pain because they couldn't do that. So I sit here in pain as I write this review and search for a primary care provider that cares. read more

This is the second time I have been to one of these clinics in this area. Both times have been unfavorable. I went to this clinic on the 14th of May to get some antibiotics because I had had an allergic reaction and was coughing up yellow green flem and all that S. Delabastide gave me was some cough medicine.......can you believe that. Both people who I saw told me almost the same thing word for word.......I don't think you need antibiotics. REALLY. Both times I was hoping to catch this thing and get it under control before it went into my lungs and all I get is cough syrup ? Thank goodness these people down here in Gaston Co. know how to treat patients that are sick. Told the doc. what the symptoms are and got the antibiotics...........no problems. read more

I will never go back to FastMed. They charged almost $600 for less than 15 minutes worth of services. They also slacked on billing my insurance. I received the bill 9 months after services were rendered!!! When I called the billing department they has no reasonable explanation as to why they were so delayed in filing. I have used this FastMed Urgent Care location several times in the past. I was bitten by an insect and needed to be seen. I arrived at 7:40 AM and was the first person in line. When the center opened at 8 AM, I walked in first and two other patients walked in behind me. I was checked in first. Yet, the rude and unprofessional desk attendant proceeded the other two patients' paperwork first and they were called back before me. I complained about not being serviced in the order of arrival. I asked to speak to the clinic manager. The manager told me that the number two person in line was seen first because he had checked in online. This upset me for two reasons. The day before, I had called and asked if checked in online, would that be like an "appointment" and let me be seen sooner. The woman on the phone said no hence the reason why I decided to be the first person there today. The manager's response also upset me because she still couldn't tell me why the third person in line was seen before me...this woman had not checked in online. The rude desk attendant's behavior will prevent me from ever using this clinic again. When I asked the manager about the attendant's behavior, I was told that it "was early in the morning." Poor customer service is not acceptable at any time of day. read more
