The bank granted my appeal and had a new appraisal performed at no additional charge to me. The new appraisal determined the value of our home to be over twice the Ault evaluation, a difference of millions, and was consistent with the price of homes in our neighborhood. Grossly inaccurate evaluations can jeopardize a refi, or cause costly delays.

This review is LONG overdue... I had the pleasure of using Eric Engstrom to do a real estate…read moreappraisal for my home in a divorce situation. I work in the legal industry and Mr. Engstrom came highly recommended by people in the know in the legal field. I could not have been happier. Mr. Engstrom did an appraisal on my home that was about 80 pages long, with detailed photos, comps, explanations , etc. that COMPLETELY blew my ex-husbands 3 page "appraisal" out of the water. Mr. Engstrom not only did the appraisal, he had to appear in court for me to testify in my ugly divorce. He was there on time, well prepared, and extremely knowledgeable. In the end, the judge (obviously) went with Mr. Engstroms appraisal and completely disregarded the lame 3 page report the other side submitted. Mr. Engstrom saved me about $60,000 that day. Hiring Pro West Appraisals was THE best money I have ever spent, and that is not an understatement. I highly recommend ProWest to anyone in the San Diego County area needing real estate appraisal services, particularly in the case of divorce or for asset valuations for probate matters. You will not be disappointed !

Well dealing with Joanna and purchasing her appraisal services was just such an experience. Recently my family needed an appraisal of two condos for an estate settlement. I checked with Yelp and found that Joanna had excellent reviews! Not only was Joanna a consummate professional she did a little hand holding and kept us appraised of the whole process from start to finish. She even delivered her appraisal before she said she would. If you are looking for someone who over delivers, is professional, personable, kind, and efficient then Joanna is your appraiser. I would not hesitate to use her again, and will definitely recommend her to all my friends and acquaintances. I would just like to personally thank Joanna on making a stressful situation smooth and pleasant.

A few years ago, I had Joanna Maloney Appraisal provide me with a property appraisal of my property…read morein Pacific Beach largely as a result of her ratings on Yelp. It was scheduled to be in early December, but it wasn't actually conducted until the later part of the month. After not hearing anything, I contacted her. She said that it would be delayed, and in late January I finally received the paperwork. IMO, it should not have taken that long; particularly with the fact that it was low season for real estate sales. More recently, I contacted her to determine if her appraisal might have had a zoning error. The appraisal had the property as a single-family property, but prior to that as well as currently, it has always been 2-4 unit property. The lot size is almost 7,000 sq feet, so I questioned her accuracy. She replied to my email without a real direct answer. When I followed it up with a more direct question, I never received a response from her. I cannot recommend this company for property appraisal because of the delays in getting the service done, and the delays in providing me with the final appraisal. I would also expect a considerate direct answer to a simple inquiry.
