I recently designed a large 4'x12' sign that I then needed to be made into plexi-glass. I called Fast signs on 9-3-2015 to ask for a quote and spoke with the owner Aman Khan who told me that I needed to send him a photo proof so he could see my project and give me a price quote. I emailed him a photo right away. When I didn't hear back from him I called the Humble Fast Signs location on 9-5-2015 and spoke with his front desk staff Michelle. She told me she had the quote right there and told me that Aman had said he would do it for $195. I told her that sounded great and I would bring the file by. Being a Holiday weekend I wasn't able to go in until Tuesday, 9-8-2015. I entered Fast Signs and Michelle helped me send over my file. She confirmed for me the quote Aman had given me and even showed me the page where Aman had written the quote down next to my email. She let me take a picture of his quote. I gave her my CC info and told her I would be happy to place my order and confirmed it would be a 3 day turn-a-round. I then contacted my client and assured them I had ordered the sign and they could pick it up in 3 days. Aman came in the store and shook my hand, saying he would take care of me and was happy to do good business and ensure I would be a repeat customer. Then on 9-10-2015 I got a phone call from Aman, saying he was sorry, but he could not honor the original quote he had given me of $195 and that my new quote would be at least $550. Now I had to contact my client who is in a hurry for their sign and tell them I can't do it right away. Again I have this quote in writing from Aman. I am disappointed and I felt Fast Signs was very unprofessional. If a Big company like Fast Signs (that is worldwide with over 590 locations) makes a mistake and make a wrong price quote, then they should honor it. Especially when that is done by the Owner of the Humble location. When you go in business, once you make a quote and put it on paper and give it to a client then you should honor it. It was bad business ethics to change the price on a client. read more
