I saw a brochure at the local gun show and the description seemed rather appealing. After digging out the driveway we headed in that direction. Roads were sketchy at best and our appointment time was quickly closing. After reviewing the online schedule multiple times I knew this place stayed booked and I didn't want to infringe on someone else's time. So I reached out to J.P. To let him know we were going to be late. We were relieved and assured to know that our tardiness wasn't going to hinder the experience. We met with J.P., he gave us the tour of the place and then we got down to the brass tacks of why we came. Great place! Not knowing what to expect, I kept an open mind as to the experience J.P. Was very informative and made it appealing to absorb the detailed information not only related to the experience but also responsible second amendment responsibilities. J.P. Provided the training and offered additional training options for future endeavors. This is probably the ultimate gaming experience with real life adaptations. You are provided with an environment and an experience of threats that in real life we want to avoid. However unless you are a hermit or blind to the obvious, the risk is real every day that you are in a public arena. With this training you Know how to act and what to do when application of deadly force is required. When the train evolution is completed, you can target shoot and have some light hearted fun and or compete with friend and family popping balloons or wiping out zombies. You can host adult parties here you can also host child parties here with age restrictions. You can use Co2 recoil simulated equipment to include AR15's additional items are also available to compliment the experience.

Had a bad experience with one of the employees at the Merrillville, Indiana location recently. I…read morenormally don't bad reviews or take to social media to complain but it irritates me when someone deliberately tries to scam you because that tells me that they've done it before and will continue to do so until management disciplines or terminates him for bad customer service. 'Matt' an employee of the Merrillville store deliberately tried to sell me a gun I was interested in one of the glass cases but it was an older 10 shot model. They had in stock the new 15 shot model but didn't display it bc they want to push and get rid of the older model. I showed 'Matt' which gun I wanted in the case and told him I wanted the newer 15 shot model, so after all the background checks and paperwork he packed the gun without showing me the gun and gave it time. when I got in my car I opened it and relized he sold me the older 10 shot model instead of the newer one. went back inside and told 'Matt' this and obnoxiously said he packed the gun I pointed out to him. I told him I said I wanted this gun but the newer 15 shot model and he said I didn't say that and kept obnoxiously saying to me 'I'm not in your head so I don't know which one you want and that I didn't tell him I wanted the newer version which is a lie all the more telling me it's a done deal, no refunds or exchanges. Seeing I wasnt getting anywhere with the idiot, I asked to speak with the manager and he lied again and said he WAS the manager. I went to another employee and he he got the real manager who after I explained 'Matt's' actions he agreed with me and made the situation right . The whole time 'Matt' never came over to confront us again or even have the nerve to even look@us because he KNEW he was wrong. Beacause of 'Matt , The Range has lost me and all my family who own businesses and some who work for political positions around in NWI , as customers from now on! The Owner of The Range should repremend 'Matt' for trying to be sneaky and a Liar for trying to scam me pushing a product on me that I didn't want. Bad employees makes The Range look untrustworthy! Their Loss!

I am an experienced shooter with experience in law enforcement but this was my first time at this range or any DNR range for that fact. The range officer handed my mother an I a list of rules to read. We explained to him we were first timers there and he did not offer any form of explanations as to how things worked at that range. Twice I had to go ask questions and his explanations were weak. During a firing break while no firing was allowed, I mistook this for a ceasefire and went to hang my target (yes, my mistake). Instead of simply and RESPECTFULLY getting my attention and correcting me adult to adult, he yelled at me over the speaker like I was a child while there was an audience. My mother and I decided to immediately pack up and leave. I went to the office to make a complaint and the manager was apologetic and made it a point to mention many other people have made comlaints about him, but made excuses for the ranger officer stating "he's just gruff", "that's how he treats his family", and even mentioned that the DNR paid $3000 to send him to anger management. That last point makes me question the managers competence considering she disclosed personnel information and seems to enable the behavior of a range officer with an apparent anger management problem. This officer is dangerous and needs to be removed from his position immediately!
