I would drop off on a Sunday or Monday ... so I drop of my towels to this laundry as I have done for years... I was greeted by the Owners daughter who greeted me by First name.. she advised me to put my laundry on the scale ( as normal) she then tells me to look at the scale and that was my total. I say ok we write it down and she asked when will I pick up I told her later that day she smiles and says "if it won't be ready Miss Tiffany I will give you a call we have your number..." I say OK and go about my day. Now fast forward to Today I go to pick up my laundry and I get my ticket that says 21.40 I retrieve $22 cash out my purse and I go into the laundry as normal with also a load to drop off for washing as normal ... I am greeted by a short Mexican heritage , chubby dark haired woman who was to my left when you walk in folding clothes I assume for another Patron. I greet her by saying " ME: HELLO IM HERE TO PICK MY LAUNDRY Laundry attendant (I want to call her something but I will be nice on this platform) : NO HABLA INGLES. ME: I began to point in the direction of my belongings, and also pointing at the laundry bag I have with me currently to drop off. L.Attendant: Stares and says ok and points to direct me to put my clothes on the scale of the new clothes I was bringing. ME: I put my laundry bag on the scale as directed by the attendant. She points at the scale showing the weight which was 31.05 I said is that the amount by pointing at the scale. L.Attendant: Mi no hablas INGLES. And then nodds.. proceeds to take the new load of laundry and put it on the table. ME: I proceed to say Gracias and I proceed to pick up the laundry I dropped off Monday previously. But I see a sticker with $28. I ask the attendant why is it $28 is show her the sticker for $21. L.Attendant: Mi NO NO, shaking her head profusely. Mi no HABLAS INGLES. Pointing at the sticker $28. Walks into the office. ME: I request the owner and if she can call her by gesturing my phone to call someone to explain to me. ( a beautiful woman walks up trying to help with the situation by getting a translator on the phone) L.Attendant: in the office trying to say she has no service on her phone to call. ME and others: tell her there isn't any service in that office she has to step out.. L.Attendant: Gets the owner on the phone speakerphone. Me: Hi Pady I say it's Tiffany she says hi I know you, I'm sorry my daughter Mis quoted you the other day it's actually supposed to add tax etc. I said it's ok because I use your service weekly just add to my future load. The owner says no worries. I hand the phone to her L.Attendant. I pay the $22 and she give me a receipt. I proceed to get my clean laundry. While the L.A is on the phone speaking Spanish and waving her pointer finger from side to side. L.Attendant: Begins speaking Spanish and looking at me shaking her head and waving no to me behind this glass office. ME: I proceed to walk out to my car. Get in my car and then someone starts banging on my Car window. The LA is banging on my passenger glass window. I wind it down. I say WHAT??! LA: NoNONNONO (yelling) (with a white phone) ME: NO WHAT??!! I say call the owner! Im leaving. I proceed to Starbucks. 15 minutes later something said in my spirit I drove slowly through the block ( which isn't busy) through the intersection and saw MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS SITTING OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR OF THE ENTRANCE OF THE LAUNDRY. I immediately turned into the parking lot and I go in and she goes into the office. I pick up my bag and put it back in the back with the other bags. She then shakes her head I asked Multiple times for management to be called. SHE REFUSED TO GET THE ENGLISH SPEAKING OWNER OR DAUGHTER WHO ARE THERE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY! She began saying I was crazy. She truly was the instigator And began being condescending towards me. I felt the need to dial 911 because at this point I'm in an AMERICAN ESTABLISHMENT BUT A HISPANIC HAS STAFF THAT DOESNT SPEAK ENGLISH! I approached this woman with nothing but respect the same way I would want to be treated only to be returned with treatment such as this I NEVER EXPECTED. It was like she had an attitude with any race other than the one she can understand?!! That's pure PREJUDICE AND RACISM IN 2025. The attendant immediately welcomed me and once I told her it was my first time, she walked me through the entire process from the different washing machine settings, to helping me load my card, to letting me know the dryers are free if you wash there as well. Can't believe I didn't know it was here after all Joe's To Go is next door. When you don't use it, you don't know it's here. ‍ As I entered the parking lot , I noticed it was full but after getting out my car I noticed the traffic is more so at the gas station and Joe's To Go. There was one customer waiting with her small kids. I looked for the large washer and confirmed the price. You can tell I've never used a laundromat before. There are 2 change machines , laundry detergent machine and laundry bag machine. I brought my own laundry detergent. The cost to wash a large comforter is $8.25. The cost to dry is .25 and that's for 7 minutes. With this comforter I'll need more time say like 30 min but then again maybe not bc it's on "high heat" . The interior was clean. The floors mopped ... There is 1 bathroom shared with male/female. 5 folding tables. 16 dryers... 17 washers...4 rolling carts.... If you want or need snacks, gas station is next door, however, There is a NO FOOD/DRINK sign posted on the front door. Signs are posted throughout the facility "Please remove Your Laundry As Soon As Machine Finishes" . It's also noted unattended clothing will be removed and the staff is not responsible for loss of clothing or damaged clothing. Overall, I was pleased considering I've never used a laundromat. I've heard how some can be dirty and supplies are limited to none. I will be back!
