LET Me start off by saying i'm deathly afraid of dentists. I've been going to the same dentist for over 10 years, but they outsourced me for a root canal to this facility (Far West Dental) I definitely had first time jitters, but I went to Westminster office and the staff was awesome! My only issue was that they take a WHILE to see you. So if you go there know that you will be waiting. I had my procedure done in their Lomita office and that staff was AMAZING as well! Especially Angel! He is the best and makes you feel super comfortable and at ease. All the doctors were patient and gentle & everything went smooth. Because of Angel, both doctors who worked on me, and even Emily at the front desk I have found a new dentist office! I am so thankful for the reassurance and time I was given, because this is such a huge fear of mine. Thank you Far West Dental! read more

Well this is my third time dealing with this particular location If you want quality care and you want to feel like you matter and treated as a patient visit the Los Angeles location because the office manager there Tanisha is amazing very kind very sweet The entire staff (Marvin, Chantel,and Yolanda as well as others are very attentive, understanding and caring and I say this to say I have been going to FarWest Dental Los Angeles for over a decade now. During this time I had to go to the Wilmington location a few times and each time was very frustrating and unpleasant The staff there are very rude The manager Yvette runs that office like a mean girls High School clique instead of a staff who loves their patience. Recently I decided to allow my child to go into the Wilmington location because it was closest. But It took no time for my child to call me and asked me to see another dentist because He didn't feel welcomed and they were rude. After that visit I he was told that he needed to correct something before he could be seen again which was utterly ridiculous and a waste of my time. Because I found out that there was no error in fact this was a clerical error made by the Wilmington Office. When I called to speak with office manager Yvette accepted no accountability nor an apology. Instead she was very defensive and started making excuses for why my son needs to be seen at the Los Angeles location she's been stated that the doctor does not do whatever this minor procedure was in their office. Which is not true because I've been seeing at the woman's office for a similar treatment. I decided to take him to the Los Angeles location to save me the frustrated I'm dealing with the Wilmington office. Angel who is also a Wilmington staff member as well. Him and another individual said in front of my son that there is a reason why the Wilmington office does not want to treat my son. Now I'm well aware that they don't want to treat me but my child. I would never think that someone could be so unprofessional as to be rude and unwelcoming to my child. I was extremely upset and decided to call the office manager Yvette who was shocked to know what was said to my son regarding their office not wanting to provide care for hi. And now knowing that that was repeated she wanted pretend like she was concerned and then offered me a half ass apology with no reasoning behind the poor treatment that was received. Like I said if you want care from a staff that enjoys doing what they do and genuinely will take care of both you and your children then visit the Los Angeles Office. I wish I could give no Stars or negative Stars for the Wilmington office! read more

This whole terrible mentally and physically painful ordeal started 8/9/23 when Farwest Dental Group in Wilmington, CA performed TWO root canals on me in one sitting. I was referred over to them by the Western Dental office in Lomita, CA. The two root canals seemed to go well but when I returned on 8/23 to have the build ups done and be fitted for permanent crowns the HELL RIDE began! I was treated so poorly this day by a hispanic lgbtq worker who seemed more like a car salesman than a dentists helper because he was the one who conned me into paying the office 500 dollars saying Medical wouldn't cover the all white crowns and those are more healthy for you gums etc. A real dentist only saw me this appointment to numb me up otherwise it was just the guy salesman who is also the one they had do my build up and fit me for crowns and he was so rough about it he did ask the doctor to come inject me again and he did when there was really no need he just needed to stop being so rough and rushing! He placed two aluminum foil type temporary caps on my two molars which is something I never seen done before it feel so damn cheap as if I could've wrapped my teeth at home with regular foil! When I returned 3 weeks later to have the permanent crowds placed the doctor never came in to see me just another one of his helpers who actually was the one helping him during the root canal procedures on 8/9. He seemed so flustered this day though because neither crowd was fitting properly and I kept complaining that my bite feels OFF! He got so nervous he started dropping both of my crowns on the floor then only rinsed them with water and popped them right back in my damn mouth! I was so disgusted and in shock I couldn't even speak up! He dropped on so bad he cracked it up and said I will have to reorder tooth 14 crown but 15 I will permanently cement on and shape down. Then he said he would use the cracked up crown as a temporary for tooth 14 to avoid putting back on the aluminum foil cap. So he temporarily cemented on the cracked up crown onto tooth 14th! Now mind you a doctor never came in and verified all what this helper was doing to my mouth the whole appointment! Also before he glued these crowns on I asked to see a mirror to see what my real teeth look like after the root canals and build up and when I looked back there I saw a lot of dark grey matter that looked like something went terribly wrong on tooth 15. I mentioned it and got told it was just residue from the aluminum foil cap that had been on for 3 weeks! 9/20 I came back for what was supposed to be the final appointment and I explained to the doctor at that time tooth 15 had been giving me pain and he just said give it time that will fade. He then proceeded to show me the new crown for tooth 14 while his office manager eyvette was in the room along with another assistant because I explained to eyvette after the last two appointments how disappointed I was with her office staff and how I had been treated and she promised only the doctor would work on me from there on out and tried to offer me a free cleaning and even blamed me for not speaking up! So I spoke up this time around and told the doctor this new crown for tooth 14 DOES NOT FIT it was so clear the crown appeared to be made all wrong to the point where it didn't cover my whole tooth at all! The doctor said he would cement it on permanently anyway and if the crown didn't meet up with the gum line in a month to call back and he will order another crown! Why not just do it right the first time! I am currently in so much pain from this malpractice of a dental office! I found out they have terrible reviews afterwards and they charged me and you all for the same thing so they are committing fraud every step of the way! They even sent me through hell to obtain my medical records they were going to charge me for them until I called them with a medical representative on the line with me and she had to set them straight! I feel so sick and disgusted never been so mistreated by a dentist in my life they have put my health at major risk on one appointment they even x rayed me with covering my chest with the protective gear! I have recently went to be photographed by another dentist and was utterly shocked at the disaster they have left my mouth in! It's no wonder I am in such pain. I included some of those images but the dentist told me they shaved the crowns down way to low so the bite is off and that causes pain. Also the crowns don't fit properly at all! I came from Anaheim because of dr Anas even though he is not taking my insurance but because he is honest and reliable .He did a great job in extracting my daughter tooth. My daughter is a scary person from dentist , really in 10 mins he did that with no pain. The people who do the scheduling are absolutely horrible. I am always on time to my appointments but they insist on making me wait over 30 minutes. Most recently, I had a 4pm appointment and they had called to see if I could make it to an earlier 3pm appointment. "Sure!" I said. And lo and behold I've been sitting here in the lobby for over an hour! These people have zero respect for other people's time. WARNING: THIS OFFICE IS INTERESTED IN MONEY, NOT MEDICAL CARE!! As a former customer service agent I hate reviews and do not leave them, but this place is awful. Was assigned this dentist by my insurance. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance, and arrived 15 minutes early. Waited an hour and 45 minutes anyway. Whatever, I can deal with this from a busy office. Had several X-rays, which was a good experience, then saw the dentist. The dentist was professional, but rushed. I came in knowing what I needed done, so he came up with a plan for me and left saying their financial manager would speak with me about payment. This is when things got truly bizarre. I made sure to check with my insurance that they cover the services I needed, they confirmed they did. At the Farwest office the manager told me that they would not be accepting my insurance. I explained that my insurance assigned me this office, so that didn't make sense. She said that actually they accept my insurance but it won't cover the services. When I questioned this, saying I confirmed they do, she said it won't cover the materials they use for the services. She then said I would need to pay $3000 for everything up front, they do not accept deposits or payment plans, and that they would not do anything further for me until I did. I later called my insurance very upset because they sent me to a dentist that doesn't accept them. My insurance informed me that they do accept them, and that not only did Farwest not call to confirm services covered by my policy, but that all materials the office claimed they would use are in fact covered. I am so disgusted by this experience. I feel like there was no thought or care given to the fact that I need EMERGENCY dental work, or that I'm in constant pain and at risk of infection. Instead I feel like I was being held up by a medical provider. Awful. Do not come here. read more

This is the worst dentist office I have ever been too. I took my mom here with an appt and they had us waiting there for over two hrs and nothing. When asked they just answer you'll be seen in 10min. Once we had enough they just say ok, would you like to reschedule? NEVER!!!!! If I could give them Negative stars I would. If referred here run the other way. Definitely not professional. What type of dental clinic let their patient wait for over two hours? Thats ridiculous. It was my husband who has an appt and he stayed there more than 2 hrs. Had to call the front office to see whats going on and all she can say was "oh I can't release any info regarding the patient" and I was like. I am not asking any info about the patient I was asking what's taking you so long to see a single patient. I work in a medical clinic and we made sure that within 15-30 min we've seen the patient already. Will definitely report this dental office to our insurance. read more

I do not recommend going here. The receptionists are very hesitant to do their jobs. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed. Before my appointment I called to confirm the pricing and they stated I needed to call another office for that information. Why would I call else where when they are performing the procedure? They gave me the information only after I complained. I am currently in pain post removal and when I called the receptionist stated that if i had any issues like dry socket that it was my fault and they couldn't do anything about it. Only after I complained again did she contact the doctor and inform me that I could seek help but only at another location. This unacceptable behavior. ALERT This was a living social coupon for "basic dental exam, x-rays and cleaning". Not all services are provided as mentioned in the voucher. Tech/Doc do the x-rays and exam but as Doc was leaving the room says, my technician will polish your teeth. I inquired I was to receive a teeth cleaning...he says yes and walks out. In comes the tech, who says he is going to polish my teeth as a form of cleaning. I asked if actual cleaning and he responds we polish to remove the film on your teeth. I tell him, get the dentist as I want the service which is written on the voucher. Front desk assistant comes in, says we only polish your teeth. I explain not what the voucher clearly states. I re-interate I am not asking for a deep cleaning just a regular cleaning as stated on voucher. She says regular cleaning is $50. I was not going to leave until I received what I paid for. Another assistant comes in and hits the switch on the chair putting me in the upright position, saying I have to leave and will get a refund. On the way out I tell the dentist he is at fault for putting teeth cleaning on the voucher but only will polish. Not a pretty picture. Will request refund from living for bad practice and no customer satisfaction. Buyer beware. A copy of the voucher was on my phone and was shown to everyone I spoke too; " One basic dental exam, x-rays and cleaning" ....some were tongue tied in their responses as they knew what was going on. read more

At first I thought this dentist knew what he was doing... Turns out he messed up BOTH MY CROWNS that he put on. The bottom crown broke because the uneducated dentist asst. tried spacing it, so now food gets stuck there. And the top crown now has an infection because the dentist didn't kill my nerve. So now I have to go to another dentist to fix my canker sore and put on a new crown... basically I lost all my money I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anyone They're just for the money read more

BEST PLACE EVER!!! I am one of the many people who HATE HATE HATE HATEEEE the dentist office!! From the needles to the expenses to everything in between. However, I can honestly say I found my dental home here. The ENTIRE staff is friendly and warm (I dealt with Angel and Dr. Fayoumi and they put all my worries to rest. I came for 12 fillings and a root canal (I know, I know) and will be back for 2 wisdom teeth to be pulled and get my braces put on. I was hesitant to do any dental work on myself as I've had some pretty bad experiences in the past. However this dentist is absolutely amazing. He performed initially an extraction. That went off well without a hitch. Quick easy and painlessly. I was contacted again several weeks later as a courtesy reminder that my insurance was ending. I scheduled a deep cleaning as suggested. I had the procedure done and also had some veneer bonding done. I am so glad I got this done. I have my million dollar smile back thanks to these guys. They get too comfortable making you feel uncomfortable and ask so many questions about your personal life that does not concern your oral health. They are carefree and unprofessional. They take their time and take x-rays of every tooth from different angles making sure they dont miss any cavities. I got fillings and a root canal. They do the job cleanly and deliver the promised results. Im surprised they had bad reviews. My doctor was Dr. Anas, he was very focused and professional when doing the work. They do make you wait longer even if you have an appointment, but when you're on the chair Dr. Anas makes sure everything is going right. I will be referring people here and definitely coming back to get my wisdom teeth taken out. read more

Great service from the moment I walked in. The receptionist where excellent and where ready to help me as soon as I walked. They helped me set up an appointment for when I needed it. They where able to give me the date and time I wanted. They even called me to remind me of my appointment. The day or the appointment everything was so quick as soon as I walked in I was helped once again and I did not have to wait long for the dentist to attend me. BEWARE!!! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. This place was assigned to me through my HMO insurance, And I would honestly rather go to any other dentist and pay out of pocket. I made an appt. Initially for a broken tooth emergency and couldn't get an appt for a week. I showed up to my appt and they tell me that they have to cancel because the girl who does the insurance verification was on vacation. 1st strike. Our next appt was another weeks wait. We show up early and called in the private room, to wait for over an hour. Xrays are taken and a temporary placed on the tooth. They tell us the Dr. Doesn't have time to fix the broken tooth and we have to come back. 2nd strike. 15 min after leaving the office, the temporary filling falls off. On the next appt....2 weeks later, they only want to take a mould that they have to send out and we have to go back for a 4th time ( why couldn't they have taken moulds that day??). 3rd strike and I'm out. So unprofessional. Expecting someone to live with a painful broken tooth for almost 2 months & not being able to eat properly, not to mention having to take several unnecessary days off of work. These people Don care about their patients,. As you can tell I'm thoroughly pissed off. And I advise anyone reading this to take your business elsewhere. read more

I sooo wanted to like this place since it is near my home. But nope! We patients typically wait 2 hours before being seen. Parking is limited. The staff screw up for weeks and weeks and don't apologize. I was repeatedly promised a call from the manager just for the referral I needed. I received nothing. I had only visited the dentist to get that referral in the first place. but after wasting 2.5 hours there, the Dr said i had to speak to the front desk. they passed the buck to a manager who they said would call. No one called. I called them. I was told to speak to the Dr. I replied: the Dr told me to speak to the front desk. They then said the manager would call me. Another false promise. I finally showed up in person and was lied to for another half an hour. Don't go to these people. read more

I had a great experience coming here, I was recommended by a friend. The staff is very friendly from front desk all the way to the dentist. They were gonna take out a wisdom tooth but since it was close to a nerve the Dr recommended a different procedure to not jeopardize my wellbeing. Also i have to remark the assistant that helped me was so nice i think her name was Gricelda or Graciela. Im really bad with names, but she was so nice and always with a smile made me feel really comfortable since i had never had ANY procedure done before. Very happy over all. read more

By far the worst dental experience I've ever had. First they were the worst at communicating. I kept having to ask questions to see what they were doing. And they kept whispering to each other in a different language, which is super rude. The dentist never introduced himself and never even told me when he was done with the procedure. I asked after he walked out. Then when he was injecting me with anesthesia, I literally jumped from the chair because the pain literally radiated to my eye and created tears. He said it was normal to feel it in my eye, but I think he actually hit a nerve. My jaw is still super sore and painful 8 hours later. Most unprofessional and uneducated dentist I've ever seen.
