The associate started a verbal argument with me and was extremely rude! They were cheaper then their competition but I spent the extra $65. I'll never shop there again! read more

Only shop willing to look at our camera when it went crazy during a trip. Really well stocked shop and informed staff in the back of a jewelry store. Honest and helpful thru a stressful situation. Would definitely shop there again, and take classes if we lived closer. It's hard to find a good camera store anymore so please support them if you can. read more

I came in to get some help with getting a watch backing off and the gentleman helped me at no cost even though I didn't buy anything outright. The next time I have a jeweler need, I'm definitely keeping these folks in mind. read more

Jewelry stores scare me. They should scare all husbands, fiances, boyfriends, and anybody else that might fall in love with a woman. They are man-traps designed to make you feel like a chump unless you have leveraged the sale of body organs for a gem. Enter Farr's Jewelry. The folks are nice here and have sold me quite a bit of shiny stuff. When I leave I feel like I have paid an exceptional price for quality products. They are honest about their quality and will provide the certificates when you are shopping. They don't undersell or oversell their products and ensure you get what you want, for a reasonable price. They stand behind what they sell and have a "diamond guarantee" where they will buy your rock back for the price you paid when you need to put something bigger on her finger. I should also mention these guys sell televisions, camera equipment, fancy things that go in fancy cabinets in your mom's house, and a lot of clocks. All quality and nothing akin to what you find at the mega-stores. Skip the mall. Visit Farr's and be happy with the little green bag you walk out of the store with. read more

This place has the worst customer service. The first time I stopped here , the guy that was helping us looked like he just got up from a nap or was hungover. He didn't tell us much about the rings and lacked motivation. He was not sharpest pencil in the pack. We had to ask every thing. He did not informed us like he was supposed to. If we didn't ask we wouldn't have any interaction. The second time we stopped there, we got there twenty-five minutes before closing time. When we walked in not a smile or a "hello, how are you guys" from the manger or the other guys. As we were looking at rings they started to put them away without asking is we were done looking at them. I didn't feel appreciated there. So much for shopping locally! I also shopped around other stores like; The Shane Company, Jared , Kay Jewelers, Morgan Jewelers and a couple of pawn shops in Las Vegas, NV. Farrs Jewelers had the worst customer service, out of all the other stores. I hope this helps. Good luck! read more

Farr's Jewelry - A place you must skip. - Jewelry Near Me - Ogden, Utah

GO TO THIS JEWELRY STORE! STELLAR EXPERIENCE! Steve Shields helped me find an unusual ring while I was in Utah on business. My son was overseas and asked for my help in finding an engagement ring. Steve provided me with very detailed photos of the ring to send to my son. Now this ring is on the finger of my future daughter-in-law and she is ecstatic. Thank you Steve and Farr's : ) read more

If you are looking to purchase a camera or camera gear I would highly recommend stopping here first. They not only have competitive pricing but they also have a very knowledgeable staff and offer great after sales support, something you can't get from Amazon or Walmart. read more

I purchased a canon camera (body only) after talking with Norm about which camera would be the best one to buy. It has worked great with my lenses! Norm was very helpful, answered all of my questions. Great service! Highly recommended! read more

So sad to be writing this review. I love to support local, long time standing businesses. I inquired about a camera and lens repair. I was told they do repair and to drop it off for a quote. I did so and about a week later received the price. It was more than I wanted to spend so came back to pick up my gear. The man (Who had a TERRIBLE attitude and annoyed scowl on his face) told me he had shipped it off to Arizona to be repaired. WHAT!? He never thought to mention to me that it wasn't his staff doing repairs, or that he was sending away my equipment without my permission. Then a week later it is back from AZ, and he wants me to spend $60 on shipping that I never informed on, or signed to. WHAT?! I paid up, and then sent my gear directly to canon. Quote Directly from canon? $750. Farr's wanted to charge me $1300 for the exact same repair! I cannot believe the dishonestly, lack of communication, and terrible middle man mark up. If you want your gear fixed, go directly to supplier. Do not pay their unreasonable middle man fees. Had I known he would send off my gear, I could've easily done that myself to begin with. So sad to not be shopping and supporting this local company. read more

Customer service was unbelievable. Honest, friendly, and knowledgeable. Loved their selection too. I wish there were more local, family-owned businesses like this one still in operation here. read more

My husband and I purchased a camera body and lenses just before Christmas. I have been shooting for about 6 years and was considering the Sony Switch from Canon. Mirrorless or not Mirrorless etc. Lots of questions and input. We received amazing customer service, individual attention, clearly experienced and knowledgeable across all product lines. Ability to HOLD the camera bodies and lenses and really experience the product! Side note: Got a $100 Tamron rebate that I never would have found online. Lots of quality discussion to help me decide what body to purchase and why. Truly, buy local. The benefits from lens rentals to classroom instruction and personal service cannot be beat on B&H, Amazon and other sites. The MSRP often ties the hands of the seller anyways, so BUY LOCAL and have personal service and join the community. Bravo Farr's Camera (Over 35 years in the running I believe???) read more

Glad to see Farr's now has a Yelp page. I know some of the guys there and can vouch for them as great guys. Great selection of jewelry, watches, camera stuff and all at fair prices. Steve will take care of your jewelry needs and Mike is the go to guy for camera related stuff. It is great when a local business also surpasses the big jewelry shops in service and support. Makes the decisions to support them a no-brainer. read more

I can't say enough about this store. They are always friendly and courteous and the selection they have is extensive. Steve Shields is very knowledgeable and helpful. I had to leave a beloved ring there for a repair and was very nervous about it. Steve assured me that I didn't need to worry and that the repair would work out well. When I picked it up, it was perfect and I felt the fee was very reasonable. Their camera department is also great. Thank you Farr's! read more

I rarely give five stars, but it is warranted here. I have done business with Farr's since the 80's when I lived in Ogden. After moving to Idaho Falls I did business with the Farr's in that location (now closed). While living in New York I did business with the store in Idaho Falls, and most recently did business with the Ogden location from my home in California. They treat me well, and most importantly I trust them. That means I know I get full value for my money when I make purchases, and when they work on a ring, the workmanship is top notch, and I don't have to worry about not getting my stones back. That means enough to me that I send rings through the mail for changes and work - they perform excellent work, treat me well, and return the rings promptly. They just did this again for me this month - during the Christmas rush no less. read more

Best jeweler on the Wasatch Front. Talk to Scott, he's an expert and will do whatever it takes to help you find something special. They also have great camera and electronics people in house. These guys only sell high quality stuff and they stand behind their products. Don't believe other reviewers that had negative things to say. I've done business with them countless times and they treat you like family. There may be cheaper places to go but nowhere better in the Ogden or Salt Lake area. As my dad always says, pay the price and cry once. read more

I'm so pleased I went to Farr's. My husband and I just celebrated our 15th anniversary and we decided to get each other new wedding rings. We were not pressured nor rushed to make a decision. They have no bogus sales just fair prices. We received an appraisal for insurance purposes at no cost. Hands down I would most definitely recommend Farr's jewelry save yourself big store hassle and misleading sales. I absolutely love my ring!! Mayra from Ogden read more
