Downstairs is pretty small, but very nicely decorated and they've managed to fit quite a bit of seating in without things feeling overcrowded. There's also an upstairs where they hold special events including live music. We had some sandwiches and paninis with coffee which were nice and fantastic value, but not the most exciting we've ever had. There was some delicious looking chocolate cake on display too, but we were on our best behaviour and resisted. The really nice thing here is that they're clearly trying to create a community hub, with a breast cancer charity fund raising event scheduled in when we visited, and people popping in to book the upstairs for special events and functions. It's great to see another addition in Prestwich and one which has not only a community focus, but it also avoiding being "yet another bar". I very nearly awarded the place 4 stars, but have settled on three because there's a few rough edges they're still working on - no payment by card at the moment, and although they offer a coffee loyalty card which we presented they didn't stamp it. Just teething problems though - we'll definitely be back.

They never get my order right! I ordered 3 breakfast meals,…read morea box on 10 timbits, and a doughnut via drive thru in bury new road Manchester. As I was in a rush, I wasn't able to check my order but, I asked the staff member serving me, "Is everything I ordered in the bag?" as it seemed small for what I ordered. The staff member replied, "Yes, it is all in the bag.". I believed her and drove off. I only realised when I reached my destination that the box of timbits and all the sauces were missing. Honestly, terrible service, as this isn't the first time my order hasn't been correct via drive thru. Otherwise the food is delicious and location is OK.

I have been to 2 of the 3 Tim Hortons in the greater Manchester area so far. This was the larger of…read morethe 2 and had A LOT more seating and more menu choice than the Bury store. It also had a drive through and the website says it is open 24 hours, however, i can not vouch for this so i shall just assume its right. I decided to go into the branch, as i needed the toilet, so didn't try the drive through. On first arrival it looked very nice, lots of glass, lots of natural light, lots of space and it wasn't anywhere near to capacity. Considering it was after midday when i visited, this was a good thing. The store was very clean, I got served and finished very quickly and got everything I wanted to get so this is all good. Its a very nice store. If i was to have any criticisms about the store, my only one would be its location. the mile drive down from the Manchester arena wasn't the best, its one of those where (not meaning to offend) I made sure my windows were up and doors were locked. Lots of store openings which seemed dodgy as the smaller shutters were up and were probably selling niike clothing (as in knock off, wasn't a mis spell). However when i was inside waiting for my brother to order, i noticed a Deliveroo rider coming in to collect an order, so when i can finally move up to Manchester, i would more than likely just get someone else to bring it to me so I don't lose a kidney on my way there. its a nicer store than Bury and a lot bigger but I would probably go to the Bury one more due to the surrounding area. I ordered the french vanilla (which I'm still not 100% sure what it is .. so gonna say its a hot choc) and i got the reindeer doughnut, the maple cream and the iced topped crueller. All very nice

The best Patissier and Chocolatier in North Manchester…read more Any time I drive into Manchester (which is very often) I have to drive past Slattery's and always manage to make some excuse to pop in. I shouldn't have to make an excuse to go here - It's excellent. The ground floor is their outstanding chocolate and cake shop - definitely worth spending some time here tasting and choosing what they have on offer. Their selection of over 40 celebration cakes on display are stunning - you'll find yourself staring at them like some sort of art. A few of the wedding cakes are pushing £1,000.. asking if it would be worth it? For me, yes! Their cakes are amazing - no wonder Wayne Rooney bought his wedding cake from here and had it shipped to Italy. You'll find me with my face pressed up against the viewing window where you can watch the cake decorators working hard to perfect these masterpieces *drool* I'm certainly not planning my wedding or anything but I already know that there's a massive possibility that my cake will be from here. On the first floor is an elegant restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and of course CAKE. The menu is fab and I haven't heard anybody mention a bad word about it. I have yet to visit the restaurant and I hear that unless you book weeks in advance you've no chance of getting in, but this only makes me want to try it even more and it is certainly on my list. In the past I have bought baskets from here and made my own hampers, mainly for family or friends at Christmas time - consisting of chocolates, hand make cakes, biscuits, marmalades, wines etc (all locally sourced). Safe to say these always go down well. If you have a sweet tooth, this is somewhere you should definitely visit.

I heard it's not usually open a Sunday which I personally think is a mistake. However it's a small quaint little indoor tea rooms only about 6 tables and some comfy chairs, with a little counter at the helm boasting all the gorgeous cakes. There was a lovely glass of fizz for arrival and then continual traditional British triangle sandwiches served throughout the afternoon. The tea was served in Downton Abbey style tea cups and saucers against the back drop Of some very beautiful Laura Ashley wall paper and some impressive chandeliers. The staff where very attentive. And lovely to chat too but also child friendly. Which is a bonus as I had my lite shadow in toe. He was most impressed with the tiers of cakes they brought round. Sized just right for me and him. It was a lovely day and outside they have a little decking terrace with some chair so, tables and umbrellas. Only one little unisex toilet but it was clean, fresh and smelt lovely. All in all I thought it was a lovely afternoon. I will need to go back to give an honest review of the actual tea rooms when it's open to the public. But for a private event on a Sunday. At lunch time if you are looking for something for those ladies of a certain age I do would recommend here.

It's run by the same guys as Eagle and child pub and offers people from disadvantaged backgrounds a chance to work in a coffee shop/deli/restaurant environment and hopefully give them the skills to further their careers in the industry. All of the staff I came across were super friendly and efficient and the whole place had a great vibe about it. I have to say that if we didn't already have plans to go out for lunch that day then I would have been quite happy staying here for lunch as the tea rooms seemed really cool, the menu quite varied and overall quite a nice place to take a load off for a while. The espresso I had definitely packed a punch (double for £2) and my wife enjoyed her Cappuccino (£2.20). It's great to know this place is here just in case we're out for the day at the lovely Heaton Park and looking for a decent drink or food option.

We've been here for tea and coffee a few times but this was the first time we came here to eat. To say it was busy would be an understatement! The queue for the counter was huge, but it just gave us more time to admire the wonderful looking cakes and sandwiches on display. We went for the "gourmet burgers" which were absolutely delicious, coming with fries, salad and homemade coleslaw. They also had a really nice salsa on them too. We had tea to drink which came in nice cups with a Heaton Park logo on them. Unfortunately when we visited there was some construction taking place which meant we couldn't sit outside, and there wasn't really enough seating inside when it was really busy. Just a temporary problem though - I guess the place is a victim of its own success! Also, the service at the counter was quite slow for no obvious reason, but not enough to deter us from coming back!
