So first and foremost, he's a butcher and raises his own livestock. He offers a wide selection of meats including filet mignon, ribeye, short ribs and ground beef. And being spoiled to fresh fish, we were pleased to find a variety of wild caught salmon, snapper, mahi mahi, and halibut. The selection changes weekly subject to availability. Having opened this brick and mortar store in September, customers like us are just discovering it. And we say." A most welcome addition to Columbia TN!"

The quality of everything they sell is top-notch, and it's become one of my favorite local spots for fresh meat. But this visit, I have to talk about the blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Wow. It was one of those desserts that makes you stop talking after the first bite. The cobbler was warm, packed with sweet blueberries, and had the perfect buttery, crumbly topping. Paired with the cold, creamy vanilla ice cream melting into it, it was absolutely incredible. I honestly wasn't expecting to find one of my favorite desserts at a butcher shop, but here we are! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their products and the experience they provide. It's rare that I update a review, but this place earned it. Between the outstanding meats, excellent customer service, and now one of the best blueberry cobblers I've had, Light Hill Meats keeps giving me reasons to come back. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor--grab some meat for dinner and don't leave without trying the blueberry cobbler and vanilla ice cream. You can thank me later!

They have take and bake meals as well as a full line of pastries. The muffaleta pictured here was incredible. I would eat it literally everyday if I could. Extremely fresh peppers, olive salad, and cheeses. Huge portion obviously. Give it a look next time you're in Columbia! The Italian was incredible as well. Everything here truly has such a "refreshing" taste to it, something that severely lacks from most establishments nowadays.

There is also a butcher shop at the front and the very sweet expert helped us to pick out a A5 Wagyu steak that we're really looking forward to trying.
