A great way to spend Sunday brunch time at the Kailua Town Farmers' Market. This popular Windward farmers market is centrally located across Adventist Health Castle Hospital on Sundays 8am to 12 noon. Features many interesting food, drink, and produce stands, including German pastries, fresh bagels, Mazemen broth-less ramen, and Omao Man for green drinks. The variety of choices just about guarantees a return visit! There's ample parking in the same lot (turn right into the lot as directed by staff) or on the street. Parking opens up with the turnover so do not be discouraged by the short line of cars. Please refrain from parking in the hospital lot. read more

Are there any bad farmers markets? Maybe. KailuaTown Farmers Market, however, is a one of the good/great ones. This one has moved around a bit over the years. Currently located next to/across of Adventist Health Castle. There's a small parking lot next to the market. If you're lucky, you can find a spot there. If not, no worries, as there's lots of parking in the adjacent neighborhood. Just be courteous and don't block anyone's driveway. Lots of variety of vendors here - coffee drinks (of course), plants, art, and so much food (fresh produce, baked goods, Italian pasta, Spanish paella, Japanese hand rolls, Thai curry, etc!!! There is an ATM machine at the entrance if you need cash, but most of the vendors accept all types of payment. There is also a sitting area with tables and chairs if you want to enjoy your food finds there. Great way to start your Sunday. Support local businesses! read more

This outdoor farmers market is a cool little spot on the way into Kailua town. The day we went and ended up pouring, which wasn't too bad because it was scattered showers. However there's not much in the terms of coverage unless you're underneath a vendor tent. Make sure to check out the weather before you go. We found parking in the lot right next to the market. But I noticed that people were also parking on the street and in the church next-door. They had a few tables set up for people to sit down and eat however, I noticed a lot of people were standing or sitting on the grass to enjoy their food. There was a mix of vendors like food, fresh produce, home goods, and clothes. They also have portable bathrooms here if you need to use the restroom. read more

We happened upon the farmers market on Sunday in Kailua by chance, driving to the beach. The market has a ton of helpful parking assistants, which was great because it was crowded. The market had a small town vibe. Vendors were aloha friendly. Prices were great. Most of the vendors were selling various ethnic foods or beverages. All the food smelled good and we tried smoothies, egg rolls and sandwiches. My granddaughter did a spin art project. There were several booths offering produce and we picked up beautiful fresh okra and beautiful mushrooms. Other booths were selling art, plants and other goods. The market was a perfect way to spend the morning. There is a restroom facility and dedicated parking lot. I'll be back. read more

Cute little town market, some good food choices to come eat a great breakfast. Coffee trailer was super cute with great coffee. Fresh juice truck looked awesome and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. Great fresh fruit options, some good veggie choices as well. Now for my favs: -Akaka falls jams, butters and honeys. Stop, and try! It is hard to only pick Al couple. This time I went home with 4. -I kimchi. Some of the best I have tried here. And my kids loved it too. - spicy Ninja Sauce if you like to add some spice or heat to your food these are must and so good. - hawaii vanilla plantation I mean yummy . One on my favorite Farmers Market is the Kailua Town used to be in the lot next to Pali Lanes though due to its closure they were forced to find a new home so currently it's at the lot right beside Castle Hospital ( 640 Ulukahiki St) and I only this out recently...gah! To have just the various crafters doing its own unique thing makes it such a paradise to browse around with the Ko'olau Range in the back is just an absolute stunning view as I sip on my Rise and Grind coffee (Pumpkin Crunch...yum!) combined is such a calming vibe everything else was just a blur...until I hear a friend calling me took me by surprise as I haven't seen her in awhile! This market run by Farmlovers provides lots of free parking even a back up lot for any overflows, small seating area to enjoy your finds, this market is one not to be missed and enjoyed to support local! Great experience here a couple Sundays ago! We arrived via rideshare car so we didn't have to park, but it was bustling already by 9am, so definitely be prepared for that. There were plenty of vendors selling produce, coffee, honey, baked goods, and sweet and savory food from a variety of food cultures (Japanese, Hawaiian, Chinese, German, Mexican, Turkish, fusion and more that I cannot even recall!). Others were selling art, flowers, and health products as well. Vendors were very friendly and approachable even though we weren't local. A unique opportunity for many of our local small farms, food vendors and local businesses to get their wares before the public. Definitely a great venue for foodies as there are many unique, interesting and even many healthy options. I love it here! It's right across from the hospital with good parking if you get there early or get lucky with people leaving. I love all the local vendors and places to choose from with food. This is my favorite farmers market in the whole United States! It's not big so you won't get overwhelmed by it. But it's very lively and offers many different goodies at reasonable prices (for Hawaii standard). I also love that many vendors offer refill options at a much cheaper price for the same product. The tomato price there is one of the cheapest ones in town at $3/lb, most supermarkets are selling at $3+. I Heart Kimchi store has super delish and fresh kimchi. They have vegan kimchi and it still tastes good. Highly recommend! The Thai food vendor also carries vegan options. The prices were very affordable. But make sure to get there early otherwise the vegan items will be gone. If you haven't had Kava drinks, stop by to try some samples. I love it and they also sell small-size kava drinks. Lastly, I also had a jar of superfood smoothies from OMA'O MAN. For $11 it even comes with a 32oz mason jar. It has kale, baby spinach, romaine, baby bok choy, mint, mango, and banana. It tastes way better than the green smoothie I made at home. And the mason jar is the highlight of the whole experience IMO. read more

The Kailua Farmer's market has new digs at the Enchanted Lakes shopping center. I'm pretty sure everyone however is going to miss the cool, comforting shade of the old Pali Lanes location. I know I will and I'm barely in Kailua as it is! Any who, the new location is setup in front of the Kailua theaters, behind Safeway, with the vendors setup in a long row. The usual suspects offering pizza, fresh bread, lemonade, and fresh produce are joined by artisans, photographers, ice cream, breakfast sandwiches, and many others. Masks are required inside the vendor area as physical distancing is next to impossible. My friend and I hit the grand re-opening after hiking the nearby pillbox at sunrise then chilling out at Lanikai beach until we got very hungry. Parking is kind of a mess as you're competing with the regular shopping mall users and the highly trafficked Boots and Kimo restaurant around the corner. Bring sunscreen as it can get hot as there's no cover. Remember, just because it's overcast doesn't mean you're not getting UV. The crowd around 8:30 AM was fairly large, with crowds making it somewhat difficult to walk down the row of vendors, especially with people waiting for their food. Produce vendors seem to be limiting how many people can browse within their tents, but some just put everything in reach from the aisle.  There are no tables so market goers just sat down where they could, including in front of the theaters to devour their pizza, breakfast scrambles, fried musubi, and other brunch items. Crowds are likely to get bigger, so stay safe while supporting local businesses! 3.5 stars. read more

One of the best Farmers' Markets on O'ahu that I've been to so far :-) There is a long parking lot strip in the strip mall area where the vendor tents are. People tend to come and go, so while parking can get difficult at times, you can eventually snag one once others leave. There are a few produce vendors at either ends of the line of tents. Some had more tropical produce available with starfruits, ice cream bananas, durian, and more, while other vendors have your typical grocery veggies and fruits. I saw dole pineapples, kale, bok choy, potatoes, onions, lemongrass, etc. Majority of the tents are food related. One or two clothing booths, some jewelry and knickknacks too. I ended up getting a breakfast sandwich and seasoned fries at one of the hot food tents (Journey Hawaii). The sandwich had eggs, cheese, bacon, and a delicious sauce on a soft, fluffy bun. The fries were well seasoned without too much salt, which I really enjoyed. Typically places often oversalt their fries, but here I could actually taste the different spices instead - especially the smoked paprika. Yum. Quite happy with the variety of vendors here. I'd visit this Farmers' Market again. read more

I just love going to farmer's markets pretty much everywhere I go. I've been to this one a few times. It takes place on Sundays 8am -12pm at Enchanted Lakes Cinema plaza. We always just park on the street near the market. We don't mind walking and rather not drive in circles looking for a spot. There's a police officer that directs the crossing so that makes it nice. It has a decent amount of vendors. Not as many fruit and vegetable vendors as some of the others I have been to on the Island. Like others have mention in my opinion it kinda has a "tourist trap " feel about it. Yes the prices seem very high and the vendors aren't as friendly as the other ones on Island. I usually get the green smoothie at Oma'o. It's pretty good but I noticed it went up another $1. 16oz for $6 and I think I paid $10 for the 32oz jar. There wasn't a long line the last time I was there. Something I would treat myself with once in awhile. Probably will keep going if I'm staying in Kailua but definitely wouldn't make a special trip for. I really like the KCC market if I get there early. They also had a decent indoor bathroom open for use. It's in the strip mall. read more

#supportlocal It's really cool to see small businesses at their best! I think that Farmer's Markets are like mom and pop shops ... very down to earth and honest. These entrepreneur vendors have to set up their space, display their goods, and pack everything up while being friendly and helpful to customers. This Farmer's Market in Kailua Town is at the parking lot of the former bowling alley called Pali Lanes. I parked for free in the covered garage. Go to the opposite side of Longs Drug Store. I saw familiar businesses such as Baker Dude's, Naked Cow, and Pomai Kulolo. There were several booths with colorful fresh fruits and vegetables! The fragrance of home cooked Thai food, dimsum, and sourdough filled the air! Everyone seemed so happy and "normal" even while wearing face masks (which is a requirement for entering). If you need a face mask, go to the Hippy Chic vendor - she has all sizes, many patterns, and will donate one mask (for every mask sold) to a healthcare worker/first responder! It's hard to find a farmers market that isn't SUPER crowded anymore. The ward market is ok, this one is ok, but the crowds are getting to be more and more like the Saturday KCC market. I've come to this market twice. We happened to spot it when going to bee and tea one Sunday. I'm glad we found it though because I love the tomatoes from kamuela tomatoes. I love the small produce stall at the corner (nearest longs and the Pali lanes entrance) and I love ondo pasta! There is a green juice truck that seems super popular, too, but I'm not really a fan of green juice, so I haven't tried it. The other vendors you can find at ward on Saturdays. My boyfriend has been looking for kalo and ulu for awhile and we haven't found any.... I guess we will keep coming back until we find some! read more

Arrived at around 9am for the Sunday market, and to my surprise there was still a few parking stalls open (at the KCC farmers market you basically have to fight over parking stalls once it's past 8:30am lol). It's located in the Pali Lanes parking lot, so you can park in Kailua Town Center, or street parking! this was my first time at this farmer's market, and the first thing I noticed was that there were't many produce stalls - most of them were food and product stalls. There were about 2 or three produce tents that I saw, as well as some jewelry, clothing, local honey, dog treats, breads & pastries from Baker Dudes, Falafel Waffles from Surfer's Wife Kitchen, pasta from Onda Pasta, locally-raised meats from Forage Hawaii, burgers & sandwiches from Journey by HFC, dairy-free soft serve by Niu Soft Serve, pizza from Fatto a Manno, etc etc etc. I liked that everyone complied with the mask requirement, and I didn't see many people taking off their mask to eat/drink food, but rather went outside the vicinity to enjoy their treats. It's a rather small area but lots of variety, and everyone at each stall seemed very kind and genuinely enjoyed being there. read more

Dare I say I wish they had more vendors? I'm sure many people wish this of every farmers market. Trust me when I say I LOVE all vendors here, but oh man, Sunday is MADE for farmers markets! It's just a bummer that there's only really two tents selling produce. The line is a bit ridiculous, especially in these COVID times. I love all the options here because some are extremely unique, but man I just wish there was more. I'd spend a lot more time if there were a place to sit and enjoy my food.. And I'd surely go back for more! I'm excited to see who comes to visit in the future, as I've been loving the new cold brew spot and of course the honey sherbet tent.. I actually really enjoyed this farmer's market hosted by Aloha Farm Lovers! Great variety of clothing, produce, and specialty food vendors under a canopy of trees in the Pali Lanes parking lot makes for an enjoyable experience. Pricing is decent at all the booths and markers are present for social distancing (which were not followed by quite a bit of people *clears throat*- live pono and do your part. I would've appreciated respectful policing of that more because I saw literally none). It's smaller than the Kaka'ako market but has just as much variety, and did I mention how much I love the shade? I'd gladly drive out from the other side of the island to check this out and to try new vendors on a Sunday morning off from work! Some final tips: - Park under the parking garage, out in the open, take your pick just as long as it's in the same area as the farmer's market! - Please, please, please follow the markers and wear your mask. And if you want to enjoy your treats/eat, keep a safe distance. I know you hear this over and over again, but from your local foodie nurse, please do your part. - Bring your reusable shopping bags b/c you'll surely come away with a lot. Kailua Town Farmers Market used to be a pretty solid farmer's market with a variety of local food and produce vendors. Although the Pali lanes parking lot wasn't very spacious, it still got the job done. My dad and I decided to check out the new location over in Enchanted Lake on a whim. First thought: No parking! There are two main parking lots in Enchanted Lake shopping center. One near is the Safeway and a number of restaurants (Round Table Pizza, The Food Company, and a personal favorite: Saigon Noodle House). The other parking lot is where the farmer's market takes place (next to the movie theater), so there are very few stalls there. For me, the most shocking thing about this farmers market was the absurd pricing. These prices are NOT normal for your average farmers market in Hawaii. I'm not sure if every single vendor inflated their prices due to COVID or because they knew there would be a lot of tourists visiting. All I know is that I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $8 dollars for a green smoothie! Even the local vegetables (spinach, kale, etc.) were overpriced. The food vendors were not nearly as diverse as the ones at the Kailua farmers market near Longs Drugs. If you're looking for a farmers market to get fresh produce, there is one at Windward Mall that is much more affordable. read more

Located at Kailua Elementary School. Parking is available at the library which is located next to the marketplace. If you stay on the main road, then you'll see the tents and find the library right after a stop light, which makes driving out easier. Lots of local vendors - food, desserts, retail, flowers, and more! They have a great selection and will satisfy your need! There's also a musician to entertain the guests. Buying local is always a great alternative to buying in stores - also the healthy choice. Great prices, friendly faces. I've been wanting to try some green drinks, but will next time! I come to this location if I'm unable to pick up my dog food on Saturday at Pearlridge. It's a nice drive and great change of scenery. I will be coming back soon!! read more

I love farmers markets, and this one is convenient and wonderful. Located at the Kailua elementary school, just off the main downtown area, this farmers market is frequented by locals, visitors, and residents alike. My favorite thing here is Fire Dance Pizza, which is my weekly indulgence for what we coined "breakfast pizza", but I have also fallen in love with the locally made mochi, fresh fish and meats, freshly baked carb goodies, and the great selection of veggies and spices. As tacky as it sounds, I also have to get their freshly pounded taro poi, which I take home and freeze into cubes for my morning green smoothie...most excellent! Parking is iffy, so I always walk, and leave fido at home because pets are not allowed. Free yoga is offered as well, for those trying to align their spirit as well as their stomach, and they have live music every Sunday. I would give them 5 stars if their markets all took square of if they had a portable atm there, because I always forget cash. Are they still open? YES. Just went today, Sept 20th. If nothing else, just go for the fish tacos. I will drive from the other side of town just to come here for the big fish tacos. The booth is a one man show and he's consistently slammed, so be prepared to wait. His booth doesn't have a company name or anything on it, he just keeps it simple with a sign that says "fish tacos". The way to find his booth is to enter the market/booth area from the side closest to the Whole Foods parking lot. He is immediately to your right if walking from that direction. Two huge beer battered fried fish tacos and chips and salsa for $15. Bring cash, exact change plus tip is best because he's so busy cooking, he just doesn't have time to deal with the cash/making change. He has a little bucket/mini trash can on the table and once you go to pick up your food, you just put the money in yourself. Just a note for the newbies, once you order at the front of the booth(usually by writing down what you want on an order form at the table), go off to the right side to wait until your order is ready. If you stand in the front to wait, it gets confusing to people who just want to order because they think you're in line to order too. read more

A decent farmers market we stumbled upon after breakfast. Not too many fruit/veggie vendors. It was catered more towards the touristy crowd, lots of metal print pictures of places around Oahu for sale, tacky Aloha print wear, and little trinket stuff that you don't need. Not going to lie, I was interested in buying some things for home decor. I wouldn't have stumbled upon Salty Mermaid portable boutique until my aunty drifted off. She had a really neat trailor hidden behind a pop up tent that could be easily missed. Such cute printed baby girl clothes and accessories. I would've went for broke if I had a girl, oh wells, no complaints! Not too many boy things but what she did have was actually really cute! Bought some fresh local produce for the week and had a wonderful breakfast. If you're ever down here, DO try Crepes Hawaii and Oma'o Man smoothie!! We had a savory crepe for breakfast called "The Local". It had kalua pig, soy glaze, mozzarella, and salmon bits. It was so good that I'll be going to the Thursday Farmers Market just to try another one of their crepes lol!! To wash it all down, my bf and I shared a 32 oz smoothie from Oma'o Man. It came in a mason jar that you get to take home with you and reuse!
