We learned a lot about the history of this cafe, Brandon's downtown, its support towards the LGBTQ+ community, and it being a nice social event spot during nights and weekends. I went for an iced tea here, as it wasn't too cold of a day. Many others went for their coffee, and they all liked it. I also liked the iced tea, it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I always like supporting local business when I visit new cities, and this place is no exception. They deserve your support here if you're ever around Brandon's downtown area.

Received a confirmation email that they received my request, but never an actual confirmation for our reservation. The Special (BBQChicken Breast and Ribs (1/2 rack) Classic Burger and fries Steak Sandwich (med rare) w/ Caesar salad Chicken Strips w/fries And Lamb Shank. Fantastic! The only complaint/criticism was with the Ribs and Chicken. The sauce seemed generic, as it came from a big "Kraft" jug. This place should make their sauce pop, and be remarkable! Very bland, forgettable, was kinda "meh"ish. The other meals were really good. The steak sandwich was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The burger was delicious! The lamb was above expectations! The cheesecakes are among the best I have ever had. They were out of cheesecake the last time I visited, so I had a caramel chocolate cake. I ran out of coffee beans on this trip to Brandon. Oh no!!! My family mentioned there was a new coffee shop in town that I should try. I was skeptical. Brandon is not known for its specialty coffee shops. Can you imagine going to a Tim Hortons and asking for a pour over? Well, H Coffee is the real deal. I was completely blown away. The family that owns this place clearly deeply cares about coffee. They made me a cup of Burundi coffee and it was one of the best pour overs I've ever had on a trip anywhere. In Brandon. IN BRANDON!!! Pour overs aren't your thing? They have lattes and stuff too. Mom, an irregular coffee drinker, had a latte and couldn't stop saying how "smooth" it was. This place is amazing. It is listed in the menu as coming with chips, and they were packaged vegetable crisps. They were tasty, but again, I was imagining something different. My mom ordered a cup of cream of potato soup and salmon quiche. The soup could have used more seasoning, and the salmon in the quiche was canned? Still, it was tasty, but misleading. The owner recommended I try lemonade and iced tea together (An Arnold Palmer). It was refreshing. Plus we had sour cream raisin pie (may have been a few days old), and raspberry cheesecake. Really good food, but needs to be tweaked!
