My wife and I were visiting our Son and his family over the Mothering Sunday weekend this year, and were looking for somewhere to eat, my son had call the Farmers Arms in the previous week to enquire if we needed to book, the rply was " No Sir, we never take bookings", When reminded by our son that it was Mothering Sunday the rply was That's fine Sri we still don't take bookings. So we arrived and after some difficulty Parking we entered the establishment. My son sought out the Manager and asked for a table for Four and a Highchair for my little Grandson, he was told there would be a little wait which was to be expected. I am a wheelchair dependant disabled man and I found that with the 'Arms' being packed I found that I was forever in everyones way. So after a wait of over an hour we were finally seated, my son had to ask several times for the highchair which was eventually brough for us. My wife and sone went up to get the food only to be told that they had to pay 1st which they did, on going to get served they found that the choice of meat was Turkey take it or leave it,as I do not like Turkey my choice was made, when they asked what other Meats were on the Menu they were told Beef,Lamb,Turkey or Chicken at the start of service. Why my wife asked where the other meats were she was told "Well we have done over 250 covers today. Now in my opinion if I am paying £7.00 at the end of service I want the same choice as the 1st person in the place, or a sustantial discount on what was left. We along with three or four other families left in disgust. read more
