I stopped over to Rochester Kettle Corn's display on Saturday morning and was offered some samples of the sweet and spicy bbq as well as traditional kettle corn and both were fresh and flavorful! I went with the small bbq and it was amazing! The bbq flavorful is in the forefront with a little spice and a sweet background. Popcorn pieces are large and each piece covered completely with flavored goodness. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices are a little higher than other options but the kettle corn is a tasty, high quality product and I enjoy supporting local small businesses. Stop by their display, try a sample!

But, Mr. Michael directed us to a location where we can purchase his delicious popcorn. Now that we know that we can order on-line or pick up from Popcorn Charlie's location once our order is selected and have an appointment time to pick it up, we will do that and be able to meet him as well. We selected the cheddar, movie, caramel and caramel with peanut flavors. My husband and son's favorite are all the selections we purchased and mine is the cheddar.

It was an ok garbage plate…read more The flavors came together but I thought their sweet potato was too dry and carroty tasting and their chicken was a little too salty. An avocado binds it together but otherwise this dish was a little hard to eat. If you're socializing at a food truck rodeo and you're just wanting something quick, heavy, immediately flavorful, then this place is the place to go. Unfortunately, if I was sitting down and wanting to enjoy the flavors more and appreciate each ingredient, then this wouldn't be my pick. Despite using healthier ingredients, still a heavy plate with flavors that could use some maturing. For 13-15$ a bowl, this wasn't quite worth the money. However, I do appreciate their efforts of trying to be effortlessly healthy by promoting health. But I think their starch heavy, avocado, salty lean meats need a bit more zing to their taste.

A perfectly normal cardboard carton of vanilla ice cream from Wegmans. I said "no, let's get real ice cream", typed "ice cream" into google maps, and was led here. Hedonist ice cream, my friends, is not Wegmans. And I'm not knocking Wegmans - it's perfectly normal ice cream with a ton of ingredients I can't pronounce for purposes of preservation. Hedonist ice cream is so much more than a cardboard carton of ice cream. They have a rotating menu of flavors, all made fresh and in-house with no preservatives. I have never met a cookies n cream ice cream I didn't love, so I went with that. Mom had a salted caramel ice cream that was fabulous. I paid for both of us since the ice cream was my idea. She was shocked at the 12 dollar total for both of us. "That's three things of ice cream at Wegmans!" But at Hedonist, it's absolutely quality over quantity. Even my mom admitted it tasted better. She wouldn't go back there, and I may not because I live 400 miles away from there, but if I was in town again and I was screaming for ice cream, I'd happily make my way over there again.
