We saw several of these pharmacies throughout Rome, and I assumed they were all part of some kind of chain or nationalized system. I guess the signage is standardized, distinctive and green, so the pharmacies are easy to identify. They are otherwise independently operated places of business. This Farmacia had a vast, highly visible selection of condoms. I had to ask for help to find the nail clippers, which were in a less obvious location. The woman working the pharmacy was polite and pointed me in the right direction. I clipped my toenails as soon as I got back to the hotel. €4 very well spent. Hit up this pharmacy if you're in this part of town, in need of grooming tools, prophylactics, etc.

As a European, you are allowed to scoff at New Yorkers. Cobblestone streets, a lack of public transportation, and more sights to slow you down in your step will have your feet aching like no tomorrow. And yet Italians can walk around in high heels and dressed so fashionable without having to hail a cab. New Yorkers you've got nothing on this life! I was able to cope but my mother had a much harder time transitioning. She already had walking issues no orthopedic function shoe could fix and her two week supply of Dr. Scholl's pads were gone in a matter of three days. Farmasalus came to the rescue. We stumbled into this historical pharmacy and the staff was so helpful and eager to help us with our needs. We were able to buy some blister and callous pads to help ease the pain of walking. What a relief. With this purchase I was able to drag my mother around Rome another three days. The shop is small but carries a variety of specialty items from basic medicines to expensive soaps. Bad Experience and Unacceptable Treatment My experience with…read morethis pharmacy has been nothing short of disastrous and deeply disappointing. After insistent calls to find a solution to a defect in my Dr. Scholl shoes, I was treated very badly. I was even told that "customers like me are better off losing them than finding them," an unacceptable and deeply offensive statement. Only after I threatened to go to a lawyer was I offered a "solution." I was offered a pair of replacement shoes, claiming that they were identical but conformable and free of the defect that made me risk falling. Instead, they withdrew my defective sandal only to give me back the exact same pair, presumably hoping that I was "stupid" enough not to notice. This behaviour was a real mockery and shows a total lack of respect. My request by email for a voucher for the reimbursement of shoemaker's expenses, in line with the legal guarantee of compliance of the Consumer Code, was completely ignored. Given the offensive treatment and the ineffective and dishonest management of the problem, I HIGHLY advise anyone to buy non-medicinal products (such as footwear or other items) at this pharmacy. Customer support is non-existent and there is no respect for the consumer.
