We saw several of these pharmacies throughout Rome, and I assumed they were all part of some kind of chain or nationalized system. I guess the signage is standardized, distinctive and green, so the pharmacies are easy to identify. They are otherwise independently operated places of business. This Farmacia had a vast, highly visible selection of condoms. I had to ask for help to find the nail clippers, which were in a less obvious location. The woman working the pharmacy was polite and pointed me in the right direction. I clipped my toenails as soon as I got back to the hotel. €4 very well spent. And yet Italians can walk around in high heels and dressed so fashionable without having to hail a cab. New Yorkers you've got nothing on this life! I was able to cope but my mother had a much harder time transitioning. She already had walking issues no orthopedic function shoe could fix and her two week supply of Dr. Scholl's pads were gone in a matter of three days. Farmasalus came to the rescue. We stumbled into this historical pharmacy and the staff was so helpful and eager to help us with our needs. We were able to buy some blister and callous pads to help ease the pain of walking.
