His work is beyond reproach, and I am very meticulous when it comes to my yard. As far as his rates are concerned -- I am on a small fixed income and his rates are very affordable. In addition to cutting my lawn, he trims my hedges and recently completed a large mulching project for me which totally exceeded my expectations! There is no clean-up for me after he leaves -- Kyle does it all! No job is too small or too big. I would highly recommend contacting him for a quote. Mona H., Duquesne Heights, Mt. He tried to justify an unreasonable price increase by claiming he had to 'walk the block' to get from the front to the back of my property. In reality, it's literally 50 steps, and he parks his van right at the back of my row house, at the property line, making the 'distance' seem like a non-issue. On top of that, he mentioned volume being a factor, but I don't even have a yard--he's just weed whacking cracks in cement. For such a simple job, the price hike felt completely unwarranted, and the customer service was lacking.

Big Ed's Lawn Service Is a Scam…read more We hired Big Ed's Lawn Service in early June 2025 and paid up front as they requested, hoping to get the job done quickly. I'm recovering from surgery and physically unable to handle the lawn myself. With weeds getting out of control, I was depending on them to follow through , especially since we're at risk of a visit from code enforcement. After they received our payment, Big Ed's completely disappeared. No job done. No refund. No responses to multiple follow-ups. This is not just unprofessional; this is a scam. They took the money and vanished. Do not trust this business with your time or money. Avoid at all costs.

However, in…read moreApril 27th of this year (2025) I requested a new estimate for flowers to be added to the existing border and to add plants to an already existing bed by my daughter's house. Leo came out to look at the work areas and in a timely manner submitted his estimate, which I approved. After a few emails back & forth, I was told that the job would be added to the work schedule. That was on May 11th. I then contacted Leo's Landscaping on June 23rd to inquire as to when the work was going to be done. I was told by Joe that his was behind due to the rain but that he was caught up and said that in two weeks he would do the job. Well it's been now almost a month since this conversation and there has been no communication from Leo's Landscaping so sadly, I am writing this review. This is the reason for my one star rating due to unreliability and poor costumer service.
