Disheartening Experience with Dr. Li Fan…read more I don't usually leave reviews for non food experiences, but I felt it was important to share my experience with Dr. Li Fan so that other expectant mothers know what to expect. Throughout my pregnancy, I often felt more judged than supported. Dr. Fan was very strict about weight gain and repeatedly emphasized that gaining more than 25 pounds was "excessive." Every pregnancy is different, and instead of encouragement or tailored advice, I often felt criticized for not fitting her idea of a "textbook" pregnancy. I was also required to complete multiple non-stress tests (NSTs) at a location that did not accept my insurance. When I brought this up, I was told I had no choice but to get the tests done there. It felt unfair and added more unnecessary stress during an already emotional time. My postpartum experience was equally disappointing. At my 6-week checkup, I mentioned that I had been celibate since giving birth and plan to continue without birth control, and Dr. Fan responded, "Men don't like to wait. They have needs." I was at a loss for words, the comment felt dismissive and inappropriate, especially during such a sensitive and vulnerable time. After my delivery (March 2025) , I also waited much longer than expected to be discharged. Dr. Fan didn't come by my hospital room until around 5-6 p.m. the day i was supposed to be discharged, which unnecessarily delayed my discharge and added stress during a time when I just wanted to be home with my baby. While I'm sure Dr. Fan has patients who appreciate her straightforward approach, my experience left me feeling unheard and unsupported. Compassion, understanding, and sensitivity are essential in women's healthcare. Unfortunately, those qualities were missing in my experience with Dr. Li Fan.

This is kind of lengthy and not necessarily negative however, i want to share my experience in…read morehopes it may help someone else who finds themselves in a similar situation. Back in 2022, after struggling with very heavy periods for years, Dr. Fan was able to diagnose me with multiple uterine fibroids. I had surgery shortly after, and the care I received during that process was excellent. Fast forward to 2025--I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant. I was very early, about four weeks along, and had to wait for my first ultrasound. A couple of weeks later, I began bleeding heavily and feared I was miscarrying. I called the office, had blood work done, and was told my HCG levels were high. When I repeated the test two days later, the office relayed through a front desk coordinator that my levels had "dropped" and I was miscarrying. This was incredibly difficult news to hear, and I later saw in my chart that my levels had not dropped significantly. I also feel strongly that sensitive information like this should always come directly from a licensed medical professional, not front office staff. When I returned for an ultrasound to make sure the miscarriage was progressing as expected, I was shocked and overwhelmed to learn that I was still pregnant--about 9 1/2 weeks along. The ultrasound also showed a large subchorionic bleed, though I was reassured that these often resolve on their own. I was prescribed progesterone and began taking it immediately, which initially helped, but when the bleeding worsened again and I asked to be seen urgently, I was told I would need to wait a couple of days for the next available appointment. Unfortunately, I miscarried that night at 10 weeks. I still carry many "what ifs" about whether pushing harder for immediate appointments or additional intervention could have made a difference. This is not meant as a purely negative review, but as encouragement to others: if you are pregnant and experiencing heavy bleeding, advocate strongly for yourself. Request to speak directly with your doctor, insist on being seen, and make sure your concerns are heard. While I remain grateful for the care I received in the past and for Dr. Fan's role in diagnosing and treating my fibroids, I've unfortunately lost a lot of trust during this experience. I am hopeful that by sharing my story, the office may be able to use it as a learning opportunity to improve communication and patient care and possibly help save someone else from experiencing a miscarriage in the future.

They have been at this location for 20 years but I was just informed that they are moving at the end of January 2024 to a new location in Escondido near Palomar Hospital. Their name will change too. They called me prior to the procedure to let me know insurance/payment details so there were no surprises with payment or what was expected. It wasn't that easy to find, since you have to take a complicated route through a business center, and behind the nearby hotel. Check their website for a map that details the best route. Check-in was easy, and they had plenty of precautions in place for social distancing (temp taken, spaced out seating, masks, etc). I had done a covid test at UCSD a couple days before, and been quarantining at home to maintain my negative result. Everyone was very friendly, and helpful. Sam assisted me during my surgery prep, and she did a great job on her 1st day at the facility! Everything went smoothly, even with a little bit of a delay to start my procedure because the one before mine ran long. I came through the procedure no problem, and they waited with me through recovery and the wait for my ride to pick me up. They had snacks & juice to help with the recovery, since most people have to fast for 12 hours for their surgery! A great place for outpatient procedures in North County!

Hmmmm! Where do I even begin. I want to first start off by saying, ladies please do not choose this…read moredoctor as your OBGYN ( Especially women of color.) Dr Charles F Edwards is one of the worst Doctor I've ever came across. I was seen by Dr. Edwards from the years 2012-2017 Dr Edwards was my OBGYN back when I was pregnant with twins in 2012. This Doctor is rude and does not takes your worries or concerns seriously. When I was 4 months pregnant I had a ovarian cysts rupture which caused me to be hospitalized for a week. Since this incident my pregnancy became very difficult. At 37 weeks of being pregnant my belly button started to bleed every day. I asked Doctor Edwards if I could schedule to have ASAP because I also noticed one of my twins was not moving as much and I was always in pain. His response was No, that my condition is non life threatening and that I would have to continue on with my pregnancy until full term. Two days after my appointment with him I went into the er because of the contractions I was having. The doctor on call asked me if I would like to schedule to have my twins the following week because she noticed how much pain I was in. I agreed, she then explained that she would be the one to preform the surgery, I told her I was fine with that. Prior to the date of my c-section I had one more scheduled appointment with Doctor Edwards. During my last appointment with him he was rude and rushed through the appointment. At the end of my appointment he told me that he would be the one to preform my c-section. Fast forward to the day of my c-section. After the surgery Dr. Edwards came into my recovery room and told me my uterus was shot. He did not recommend any form of treatment Nothing! After I had my twins I started to hemorrhage during my mensturals, I started having deficiencies, I started loosing my hair, and I developed this excruciating ripping pain within my abdomen. I told Dr. Edwards of my symptoms and he had me go get an vaginal ultrasound. His findings were Endometriosis. He the prescribed me with birth control and pain meds. As time went on the pain got worst and with each visit I was told it was the Endometriosis that was making me sick and causing my pain. This went on until 2019. Last year on May 29th I was seen by a new doctor, I told this doctor of my pains and right away he preformed a laparoscopy, his findings were enlarge uterus fused to my bladder which was also fused to my abdomen, I was then sent to a specialist who preformed a hysterectomy. There was a point in which I wanted to kill myself because of the pain I was experiencing. What I don't understand is that in Dr. Edwards c-section notes he described how my uterus was damaged but yet he did not recommend any form of treatment further more I did not want to have anymore kids anyway so I had my tubes tied during the c-section. This man is dangerous if u don't believe me go on vitals.com and read the reviews on him.

So when I had my 8.6 oz boy it tore me wide open as far back and as far forward as a body can tear. I was in shock my entire body was shaking then he started sewing me up.. If you can imagine the burning pain of tearing then sewn up for 30 min w/o lidocaine..I'll never forget this man.. he didn't have a clue to even sew me up nice instead he sewed my flesh onto outside of my incision. I felt so devalued by this man. What makes me most angry was his arrogance he vetoed my choice for my body. Unlike many of the other reviewers on here, I am a new patient of Dr. Beaumont's as I am new to the San Diego area. My first interaction with him was very pleasant. He is prompt to reply to messages and has suggested tests that no other health care provider I have seen before suggested, showing that he really looks at all possible root causes when resolving patient issue. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Beaumont to anyone in search of an OB/GYN.
