Fareway Washington has 10 different varieties of Brew Pub, Hy Vee has 4 simple plain pizzas. Fareway has chicken bacon ranch and Buffalo Chicken, Hy Vee has pepperoni and mushrooms. Maybe it's because Hy Vee got burned trying to sell the cardboard Roma pizzas, but to even use the Brew Pub cooler to sell other pizza is a bit silly. Invest in Brew Pub and quit half assing it.

On January 26, 2019, I ordered flowers and a food gift basket to be delivered to my parents (who are both 87), who were unable to get out of the house due to the severe cold temperatures and snow. Rita promptly got the order together and within 1 1/2 she had it delivered to my parents. The flowers were beautiful and the food basket was terrific. Although my husband and I live in Nevada, when we frequently go to visit the folks, we always show the Washington HyVee.

Inside, the Walmart is AMAZING. It's PEACEFUL. The employees were all smiling, working industriously. The patrons were polite. Children and parents interacted calmly and happily with one another. My boyfriend strolled the neatly stocked and perfectly organized aisles with wide eyes, wondering "Is this heaven?" No. It's the Washington, IA Walmart.

This is something you shouldn't have to do every time you go to a store. The first time I shopped here I got baby food and it wasn't until I got home and my wife noticed the baby food was out of date. I took it back to the store right away, the same people were there because it had only been like 10 minutes and they would not refund it or let me get any new baby food because I didn't have a receipt Yesterday we went in there, and the store is nothing short of filthy. As you will see in the pictures they have a lot of stuff out of date and their entire frozen meat section isn't working everything in it is thawed. Even the chocolate milk has separation because it's not cold enough where the milk is at. We got hotdogs and I told my wife to check the date. Sure enough they were way out of date. Ido not know how this place stays open and how people are not getting sick. Checking with other members of the community. I am being told that it has had multiple complaints but that nothing has happened. When it was brought up, the freezer was not keeping stuff frozen and that everything was thawed. The only thing we got from the employee was, "yeah we know " I don't even want to give this place one star but if you can't manage it correctly and you can't serve food to people that is acceptable then you don't need to be open. I took a video of the freezer section and how things were not frozen, but I can't upload a video on Yelp.
