I am so thankful Sioux City has a Farmer's Market. Since May of 2017 I've been really trying hard…read moreto change my diet to a more organic, clean, healthy nature and having this market helps so much. Not only because it obviously provides me and the rest of Siouxland with fresh produce, but the prices are so wonderful. It can be very expensive to buy fresh at grocery stores, and I have no clue how to grow/maintain a garden. I go to the Market every since Wednesday and almost every Saturday. The Farmer's Market of course has farm-fresh produce, but it also offers food, entertainment, and shopping. Frequently there are various food trucks and food stands cooking right in front of you. I'm very partial to the Heartland Coffee & Nosh truck. They have wonderful beverages and food bowls. There's also a pastry vendor that is wonderful. Try a chocolate danish if you ever get the chance. Other foods I've seen are made to order omelets, eggs rolls, and taco trucks. Some vendors sell items and not just produce. This one woman is frequently there selling jewelry and crochet clothing. She has hand-made wooden toys and various trinkets as well. Some stands sell flower arrangements and I've also seen dog treats and artists. There's usually someone playing live music. On Saturdays you can find face painting, clowns, and other businesses selling or promoting items/services. I've seen bounce houses and people often bring their dogs (or cats in strollers. ) You may only spend a half hour or so at the Market, but it's always a great visit.
