We waited six weeks past the delivery date (ten weeks from time of purchase) and still no sofa. I would call the store to see what was going on and twice was told that my sofa would be delivered in two weeks. Twice the two weeks came and I was told it would be ANOTHER two weeks. Finally I had to ask for my money back because TEN WEEKS isn't enough time for them to deliver one sofa. I do not recommend Unclaimed Freight.

(Such as today I ran out of deodorant and that was all I needed. By of course I left with around $16 worth of stuff.) The aisles are very close together, but I've noticed that about every DG I've been to. They try to pack everything in. This location keeps their shelves pretty well stocked and organized. The clearance bins are always a mess and there isn't always a price sticker on the items, but that's the fun of clearance, right? The 'find.' There is one area that is always an awful mess. Sadly it's right by the register. It's always just stuff piled there and looks like the inside of a hoarder's closet. It blocks some clearance stuff and their line of Husker items. Very few 'fresh' groceries here. I never buy anything that isn't a dry good/non-perishable. It just doesn't seem very...well, fresh. No produce at all. Parking lot on one side and street parking on the other. Lot is usually clean. No public bathroom available. Staff is always nice. I'm usually greeted and helped when I need it. Friendly people. I have experienced their registers shutting down more than once. And if the place is busy the employees seem frazzled, but it's rarely busy.

While I'm used to the setups at the New Orleans stores, I feel like this one was more in disarray then I'm used to for these establishments. That being said, I did find what I needed to find fairly quickly. The aisles were also not equipped with the square footage to allow for such serious shopping though that wasn't stopping grandma from creating a road block while perusing dollar delights. This smallish grocery store (by our spoiled SoCal standards) reminded me of grocery stores when I was a little kid: no big fancy displays, no gimmicks, no 10¢ a grocery bag... just a clean well-stocked grocery with nice folks running the joint. There is a low glass case at the meat department and--get this-- butchers working back there! Fresh produce and cold drinks, soft bread, and enough sugary junk for the kids... a couple of bags of ice and we were back on our way: mom making sandwiches on the truck center console, and kids rattling chips bags in the back seat.
