Far North Tree Service is a business that you can feel happy supporting. Not only did they do an excellent job removing some trees and stumps for me, I felt great supporting a Veteran Owned business. Their Owner was a long time Army member (I believe Mike said he served over twenty years). The professionalism of both Mike and the team at Far North was amazing. I called Far North not really knowing exactly what I wanted done with my yard. Not only was the estimate free and done by the owner which meant no surprises when the bill came, Mike really broke down my options. He let me know what the difference in services would mean for the total bill. This was a big relief to have some control over the scope of the work and not just to have someone give me a price with no wiggle room to help stay within my budget. I ended up getting 2 trees removed, but I was able to keep the wood, and have it cut into 2-foot lengths. They even stacked it neatly where I asked them too. I was not sure if I wanted to have the stumps removed, mostly because I really was not sure about the process. But in the end, I did get them ground and I am so happy I did. Far North did not wreck my yard but left a nice mound where tree stump use to be and spent time raking my yard around the ground area to lessen the woodchip mess. Mike Spivey has no respect for peoples property, dishonest, lying human being. He came to Georgia area from Anchorage Alaska doing business as Far North Tree Service Company. He has been dumping logs, tree branches and tree mulch illegally on my property and surrounding neighborhood for about 6 months to year. I was getting very frustrated until I caught him on camera doing it in April of 2018. He acted very bold and cocky like he owned my land in the photos. He caused me $18,800.00 worth of damages to my property. Police got involved and cited him for Unlawful Dumping Case#18-00603 with City of Milton (Georgia). He had enough courage to lie to police officer that he had permission to dump mulch on my property. He paid the fine and never showed up in court. I have filed a case against him In Jackson County Magistrate Court case # MV181030 (Georgia) in June of 2018, but he fled town like every other coward does. He claims he served in a Military, I would have to see it to believe it. These characters don't aligns with Our Great Men and Women who serve our Great County, I would have to conclude that he is also a Fraud. read more

I called Far North Tree Services for advice on some trees I was worried about last spring. Even though I didn't remove those trees at the time and I was saving up for their affordable service, they were the ones I called in an emergency last week when two other trees came down in a big wind storm blocking my driveway and narrowly missing my friend's car. Far North was professional and showed up on time and cleaned up the mess quickly and efficiently. They put the other dangerous trees down right where they said they would and worked safely to protect my property. Thanks guys. It was fun to watch you work. Fast and professional. I had a tall birch tree in my backyard draining the nutrients from my lawn causing a large bare spot around the tree. The tree was tall and would have been a risky take down if I did it myself for fear of damaging mine and others property. I called Far North and got a reasonable estimate. They came to my house with a crew and had the tree down, limbs and loose leaves removed and stacked the remaining usable wood as I had requested. All that took about an hour or less. I used them a second time when my neighbor and I decided a spruce tree between our houses was a fire hazard. I recently had 3 large trees removed from my place by Far North Trees. All were in bad shape and near my house. One was between 2 out buildings and my deck.
