Very good pizza at a decent price. This was my first time eating here. A family member recommended this place because they love the lemon pepper wings and the New York style pizza. The pizza was really good and the wings were even better. We got lemon pepper wings and although they are small, they are very tasty. The service was really good. There is plenty of parking in the shopping plaza parking lot. Our food came out pretty fast as well. We brought the grandkids and they loved it. Once again it's pizza Friday and our search continues for the top pizza place we can call home. Today we decided to give fantasy a try and I can honestly say it didn't disappoint. We ordered the garlic rolls with cheese and an XL pepperoni/sausage on half pizza. The garlic rolls were tasty and had great texture. They were firm not doughy...my only complaint was that they weren't garlicky enough on the inside, just lightly on the outside. The pizza was a thin crust, but unlike most thin crust pizzas it didn't taste like saltine crackers. The pizza was delicious and didn't have that rubber texture that most pizzas have that I've tasted in the last couple of months. The server was young and wasn't attentive at all, which was kinda disappointing. Final thought: although the server could of done better, the pizza was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant. I've driven past Fantasy Pizza well over 100 times but I've never tried it until today. Stopped in for a quick slice and a soda. When trying a place for the first time i always go with the golden slice, plain cheese pizza. I want to see the basic ingredients and how they work before complicating things. It was after lunch hours so the two slices and drink deals was done. (Only good until 4pm) i got two slices and 2 sodas and it ran me about $10. Not crazy expensive for what it was. I'm a big fan of pizza well done but i don't say anything because i like to see how they think their pizza is served best. Slices came out and looked like solid slices. They were piping hot so i went right in. First bite, good flavor. Not overly greasy and the cheese was a good blend. No serious flop which was much appreciated. Now, the only reason this place doesn't get a 5 star is the crust. I like the crust to have a nice crunch on the outside while holding a light inside. This was not that. It was basically a cracker. Super crunchy outside with nothing inside. Overall, i would give the pizza a 6.7. The girl at the counter was super pleasant. Greeted us with a smile and brought us our slices. This is what you get when you combine a sports bar and an Italian restaurant. The only thing missing is all the TVs. We were a bit sceptical about this place at first. It seemed like there was going to be little or no service, but we found this not to be the case. Our server was very good. She worked the tables and managed to work the counter and phone without miss anything. As far as the food, it was good. We ordered the chicken wings first, they were very small, but the amount was more then what we asked for. They were real good. For dinner I had chicken parmigiana with penne pasta. Although I wish they would have had whole wheat pasta, it was cook perfectly. The chicken was very good, the cheese was baked to a golden brown and the chicken was heavily breaded. My wife got eggplant parmesan with out the cheese. It was very good. The eggplant was also litely breaded and not drowning in sauce, like there trying to hid something. My daughter got a slice of mushroom pizza, it was a very large slice, the mushrooms were very fresh and it looked so good. After getting tested for covid our here today, we decided to get a slice and figured why not give a new establishment a chance. Praise the lord for Fantasy Pizza! Can I get an amen with that pepperoni!? Cheese to sauce ratio, check. Supa thin and tangy pepperoni, check. Enough pep juice to stay moist, check. Thin and crispy dough that crackles loud enough to drown out the crappy music coming from the speakers, check. Although to be fair it was just one track by Drake. These slices need not be folded, folks! (Because we all know how that only conceals the tasty innards from your taste buds). The crust edge got just a wee bit doughy on my second slice (yes, it beckoned for me), but not enough to keep me from ordering a third slice before Joe body slammed me like Jesse Ventura back to my senses. Yummy. This is a cute little pizza shop right on Pines Blvd. I went in for lunch and ordered via Yelp. The only complaint is that I wasn't notified when my order was ready. But when I walked it it seemed spacious and clean. The cashier was pleasant and friendly. My pizza was hot and ready. I had a cheese slice and a pepperoni slice. I called the store to see if they could host a party of 20. They immediately over the phone said yes. They were very nice and friendly. Once we arrived they had 3 sections for us to sit down with our friends. The food was amazing and the toppings were generous! The store is a small mom's and pops type of place. I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews, but it is so darn close we decided to take the risk. We ordered ahead for pickup. It was ready 15 min sooner than The Yelp app said it would be. We ordered a large pizza, half pepperoni (REALLY good), garlic rolls (perfect texture but needed more flavor) , and the Parmesan garlic chicken wings (decent but needed more flavor). The pizza crust was very dry - hard to eat. Maybe add a little sauce which wasn't bad. Also, they should scrape/clean their ovens. There was burned flour or semolina on the bottom of the pizza. Had lunch at Fantasy Pizza And Salads on Friday afternoon. Ordered the Lunch Special, which comes with two Cheese Slices and a soda. Quality Growing up on NY-style Pizza, I'm picky, but also appreciate the simple things. And while Fantasy Pizza And Salads, may not be able to compete in New York, they definitely stand out in South Florida. I have to compliment the crust, which was near perfect. On larger slices there is often an urge to throw on too much sauce and cheese leaving the crust soggy. Here they spread the ingredients well and when it came out of the oven it was soft yet crispy. The cheese was not my favorite, but it was well distributed. The sauce was solid with just a little bit of sweetness. For a place that I stopped into on a whim, they throughly impressed me. And considering the prices for the Lunch Special, it was a great deal. Quantity The slices were large, but not massive. About the size of a standard paper plate. Two and a drink made for the perfect size lunch. Value Tough to complain about two Cheese Slices and a soda for just $5. But even when there aren't specials, the menu still seemed very affordable. Ambiance Fantasy Pizza And Salad is located in Pembroke Pines within a large strip mall complex. Honestly I try to avoid these complexes because it tends to be a headache finding any of the smaller stores or restaurants hidden within the space. Luckily I spotted this restaurant from the road and just needed to find a nearby parking spot. The space itself was a casual sports-themed pizzeria. When you enter they have a row of booths on the left and then displays of pizza and the ovens on the right. The walls are lined with sports memorabilia for South Florida teams. They had a few televisions at different corners as well as a spot for a large screen. But even with televisions, pizza, and beer, this would not really be a spot I would recommend watching a game. In the background they were playing sports radio, but during my visit switched it over to classic rock. Crowd There were about ten people in the store and each one seemed to be taking advantage of the Lunch Special. It is a good amount of food for a low price, so it is not hard to see why this would make it a good lunch spot. I also got the impression that this casual spot would be popular for families looking for cheap, but good pizza their kids would enjoy. Service There were two people working behind the counter and they were friendly and fast. Before sitting down, one ran out to clean off my table, and they had my slices out to me quickly. They also offered me a to-go cup in case I wanted to bring a soda out with me. Parking Found in one of the massive strip malls in Pembroke Pines, there are tons of spaces in the shared parking lot. Extra Fantasy Pizza And Salads is simple, but good. Solid pizza, affordable prices, and friendly service. I would absolutely stop by for the Lunch Special again when in the area. read more
