I would recommend checking in online. I didn't and it was quite a lengthy wait time. The hairdresser was very good and I was happy with the haircut. I was not happy with the coupon they sent me via email for $4 off. It was worthless ! They said the discount could only be applied to the regular $25 price, not the senior cut $20 price. Who ever heard of needing to provide an email or phone number JUST TO GET A HAIRCUT? I do not like to give personal information and do not wish to receive solicitations. in the past, I had no problems at the Wentzville Fantastic Sam's when declining to be profiled. I paid in cash and tipped handsomely in cash. Recently I went in, declined to give out my personal information and was told they would not cut my hair because their computer system had to have it so the stylists would get paid. wentzville fantastic sams sucked. I have been going there because I couldn't get in to my regular hair dresser and it was ok. I went the other day and I got Anna. I absolutely hated her as my hair dresser. I asked for a little bit off and she cut it way too short. and then she cut my hair un even and my layers way too choppy and way to short. I absolutely hate my hair now and she ruined my hair for senior pictures. I hate her. I was growing my hair out. I had to go back up there and I asked Ashley to fix it. she's really nice and I prefer her cutting my hair. do not get Anna if you go up there, if you do ask to switch. I am a BIG fan of Fantastic Sams! For my holiday hair I didn't want to go anywhere else. This was my 1st time at this FS. Made the appointment the night before on the easy to use FS app and confirmed the appointment once I received the appointment email. Never met any of the hair salonists at this location, I researched the reviews to get an idea of who to see for a color. Savannah did a great job on my highlights! I had boxed color blonde and cut my own hair for the longest time, it was a relief how Savannah was able to help shield my problem areas and revamp my hair! I feel like a new woman. My hair feels healthier and looks amazing! I'm excited to have found a new salonist who understands hair like mine which is very thick, long and naturally wavy. Savannah and I discussed our goals for my next visit which is keep the blonde and add a couple low lights to help the blonde pop more making a more natural effect and she knows how important it is I keep growing out my hair. All the women at this location were very friendly! They worked together to keep the salon clean and helping the customers as they came in one after the other for their last minute cuts and color. My husband took my two sons in for a hair cut at Wentzville fantastic sams, my 10yr old asked for a simple tape fade I can seriously do this at home it wasn't a complicated ask. the stylist says, I can't do that this isn't a barbershop! she was very rude and my son said she was rough on his head. He has never had an issue getting his hair cut before needless to say I will not be a returning customer. read more

Erin Det. is very rude and confrontational. When asked to fix a haircut that she had just cut she went into a rage. I asked her politely if she could fix it. She continued shouting profanities at me. This isn't the first time I have witnessed her being rude, just the first time with me. Why is she still employed there?? My family will never go back! Horrible customer service! read more

Savannah gets 5 starsBeen going here for 3 years since I moved here. Military so I get Weekly cut so add that up 9$ ...5$ tip a week for 3 years.. now add my kid who gets every month for same price. I've spent a lot of money here....I take him in after business reopening an get rocked with a 15$ bill for a 4 min child's cut. You're charging me 180$ an hour. No discounts allowed... cmon this is fantastic sams. People come for the price not the quality. I never complain when it's wrong because it will grow and be cut in a week again. I told her I had an online checkin confirmation. Was told there was nothing she could do about that and there were 6 people ahead of me. I have been to this fantastic sam's a couple of times to get roots done and a trim. I had 2 good experiences and went yesterday to do something different. I showed the stylist my picture and asked if it was possible. She said yes but she was worried that the red would be too bright on my blonde hair. She was going to alternate with a brown to make look better. I told her if it wouldn't look natural, I would do something else. She assured me it would turn out great. I had my glasses off while she was doing my hair and when it was done I didn't want it dried because it would frizz without the right products. She didn't ask if I liked it, didn't show me the back, anything. She was very quiet when she rinsed it out. I paid and left her a 25% tip (because that's what decent people do! I wasn't tipping on the service, but rather because I know people who make tips live off of them). I got home and realized that my hair was awful! When I got in natural light and could see the back with a mirror, I realized it was completely uneven and I looked like a clown!! My hair was clown red, well half of it was. The roots were a mix of light red and brown and some spots of my hair were darker than others. It was a disaster! I started washing it with dawn to try and strip the color but it wasn't budging! I emailed fantastic sam's and I received a reply from a franchise owner that he would send me a check for half of what I paid or I could return for her to fix. He said it cost him $30 for color and shampoo so he'd refund me what I paid minus his cost and the tip. I paid $99 total and he'd mail a check for $49. I spoke with another hairstylist who told me the stylist at fantastic sam's should never have applied red color to blonde hair like she did and she didn't know what she was doing. I wasn't confident she could fix it, so why return? I was nervous it would get worse, so I decided to go somewhere else (an experienced salon that does color every day) to have it repaired. I replied to the owner saying I don't feel it's fair to only be refunded $49 considering my hair was ruined! He has a very condescending attitude and replied telling me I left a good tip so I must have been happy and he's basically not doing anything for me. If I didn't want the $49 refund, I'd get nothing! I told him that's fine, I'll just share my experience on social media. When I said that, he said he had decided not to refund me anything. Just beware of this location! If you want a decent color job, find a very experienced salon and stylist. Trust me, it's not worth saving $50 because, in the long run, it'll cost you so much more. The owner's name is Paul Lewis and it appears he's also the Chief Marketing Officer at Commerce Trust Company in O'fallon, MO. Another business to avoid! read more

I came in on a Thursday morning, while they were short staffed. I asked for a cut and color and i felt bad because there was only two hairdressers there at the time. My hairdresser, Chris, was amazing. She completely changed up my look and made it look exactly how i imagined, even better than what i imagined! Went in for my appointment to get my hair colored as a senior. The woman who has been doing it the last two times refuses to give me a senior discount. Did not want to have her do it and she lost it. She started yelling at me and told me I had to the count of three to get out of the store. She went off like a bomb and told me she was calling the police and having me thrown out. All I wanted was my hair colored but not by her. She told me awful things about me that weren't true. Tried to show her receipts that proved I got a cheaper price as a senior. Would not give me the name of the owner so I could complain just kept screaming at me and doing it in front of a full salon. I finally called the police myself and Went outside Because she was scaring me and waited for the police. Went to another salon and heard that many people have complained about her. She's rude, opinionated, and gossips about other customers in front of her coworkers. Everyone that goes to the Wentzville Missouri on Wentzville Parkway location beware of Erin. she thinks she owns the salon but the salon has no manager. Imagine that! She might think this is over with but I have resources to complain to as a retired paralegal. I might be a senior, handicapped, and a Christian but I deserve respect not what she gave me! I've been here many times and have been pleased with the results most of the time. Today, I went in and was initially ignored by a stylist who looked like she had just rolled out of bed or was perhaps hung over. After finally being acknowledge by the third stylist to come to the front desk, I received a shampoo and cut. The stylist then partially blow dried my hair and because it was a chili day, I asked her if she wouldn't mind drying my hair completely. She then informed me that it would be an extra two dollars to completely dry my hair. Whatever. This is the first time since I've been going there for years that I've had to pay extra to leave with a dry head. I know it's "thing"in the higher end salons to charge extra for a blow dry but I don't agree with it at any hair salon to be honest. So, I just took it out of her tip. read more

Went in tonight with my 70 year old Mom with an online picture showing length and style she was looking for...I was clearly ignored and in 5 minutes her hair was completely cut off and was absolutely nothing remotely like what I had asked her to cut it like. Not only did she scalp my Mom (who is on thyroid medicine so now has bald spots showing) - she cut her hair like she was a man. Are you kidding me? Great job Fantastic Sam's! If she's lucky her hair might grow back by Christmas. I guess until then she'll just stay in the house until she's no longer embarrassed of walking outside. Just because people are older...doesn't mean they no longer care what they look like. If she had been 20 something or 30 something more time would have been taken and perhaps someone would have given a rip whether their client was leaving looking better than when they entered.
