Just went there the past two days for the food. The place looks dirty but it's a Flea Market so what do you expect.

This place is bananas! A friend recommended we check out this flea market for baby clothes and…read moreshoes, and while there are multiple vendors selling such things, a good 90% of the articles are for girls, which doesn't do much for our baby boy. Still, my wife and I were both blown away by the density of both vendors and goods for sale here. Everything from clothes and shoes, to toys, electronics, phone accessories, fabric, anime tchotchkes, games, collectibles, DVDs and probably a whole lot more than we missed, can be found on display, tucked away, or hanging over head. We've already resolved to do some of this year's Christmas shopping here, that's for sure! And that's not even getting into all the food, desserts and beverages available here. My Spanish is too poor, and my wandering eye too unfocused to describe all the wonders I saw being served up, so I won't even try. Except the grilled corn on the cob. I saw that, I wanted it, I didn't get it, and I will rectify this travesty during a future visit.

I found a lot of Made in China products, something you'd find @ any Asian stores CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. It's Sunday, and several vendors are closed with wrought iron gates, something tells me, they don't trust one another! If you're looking for baby Jesus dolls, and baby Jesus outfits, baptism outfits, Holy Communion outfits, THEY'RE HERE! I did find something I've been craving for a long time, I just haven't been lucky enough to find. Young tender coconut slices & perfect mango slices in a cup. The price is right. Now I know where to find them, without husking a coconut yourself! I also found some fresh small guavas!

I also love that small independent businesses have a unique opportunity to display their unique items. Love that there's usually free kombucha too!!! I do have a couple comments though, on things that I wish were different: It was difficult to find nice vintage clothes in an overwhelming sea of streetwear. It would be nice if the coordinators moderated so there would be more variety in style. Streetwear has its place in the vintage world, but it kind of took over the PDX vintage market so it was a TON of T-shirt's, jeans, baseball caps and jerseys. I counted at least 36 streetwear booths that looked nearly identical. Hard to find unique pieces in a variety of trends & styles from different fashion eras. (20's all the way to 80's fashion was lacking) I also wish they would play amplified sound from one location instead of letting all the vendors play whatever music they want, because you end up walking through a crossfire of 20 songs playing at once. Regardless of these things I would still return; just hoping that feedback helps!

I left around 11:30 and it picked up a lot. There are some overpriced items but still a variety of fairly priced items which were great. Would definitely come again. Average shirt was 10-15$.

Hosted by Rejuvenation and held the last Sunday of the month, approx 40 vendors, makers and vintage curators display and sell their wares. It's an interesting arrangement with booths both inside of Rejuvenation, set up amongst their own goods, and outside on SE 6th & Salmon. There is also a cafe inside, a bar outside, music, and a few food trucks across the street (Tight Tacos, NE Crepes) and Olympic Provisions and Jacobson's Salts joining in. After hearing about this market for the past year from a friend, decided to check it out last Sunday since it was a bright, sunny spring day, cherry blossoms at their peak, and I wanted to be outside! On the street section, there were wonderful handmade baskets, perfect for visits to the Farmers market, in an array of beautiful colors and weaves. Also of interest to me was a women selling "adopted" and furnished cast iron pots and pans of very size. I'm going to donate my cast iron pan next month so she can do her magic and sell it so someone else can enjoy it. When I got to the jewelry booth, Peaces by Lauren, I couldn't resist a pair of clear and gold acrylic hoops dangling from a golden sunburst. $20 and they were mine! The women next to her had beautiful clothes - blouses, dresses, pants, jackets - and ladies were buying them rapidly. Inside I stopped to taste, then buy, LoveHope cookies, small batches of deliciousness. Rejuvenation even had some of their own items on sale at amazing prices, most notably the linen duvet and sheet sets. Wish they had a queen size of both, I would have bought them for the 50% off deal. There were houseplants, pottery, textiles, clothing, soaps, candles, just to name a few. The vendors were friendly, happy to talk about their craft, never pushy. My best purchase of the day was a wool tote made in Mexico for $20, which I used to carry my purchases that day, and have been using everyday since. It's an elevated version of a tote you bring to a store to carry your purchases. Love the off-white color and texture of the wool. All in all, a fun start to my day!
