PLEASE do not have this doctor do surgery on you. This doctor put screws in my feet and I had them surgically removed because I was in so much pain to walk... the doctor who removed them advised they were not the right size for my feet and the not the right type screw. I ended up have two more surgeries to correct the mess Dr. Fanous put me through. Get a second opinion!! This doctor is robbing people of their freedom so he can gain a buck. How he can still operate in beyond me. I wrote a letter to the board to advise them of this unethical doctor. read more

If you are diabetic stay AWAY! The staff and doctor have no topical numbing and laugh with delight as they tortured me. IMO they are sadistic. My surgery went well but the lack of compassion towards me is incomprehensible. The awful handling of my EDD claim caused me extreme financial stress. There was a cash only $35 fee for filing out the paper work and the doctor does not have access to the online program so snail mail only. I have yet to receive any compensation from EDD and will have problems with my claim as he released me back to my food serving job only 3 weeks after having 8 hammertoes operated on! I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and visually am healed but physically I am still in extreme pain due to peripheral neuropathy and this doctor's dismissal of my feelings. In conclusion, I wish I had gone elsewhere. read more

March 2019 This is my 2nd surgery with Dr. Fanou s and again I am totally pleased. He did and always does take such good care of me. His office staff is always so nice and accommodating. Yes there might be a wait but I have never been to a "GOOD DOCTOR" where there wasn't, which tells me that they must be experts at what they do. I guess you just can't please everyone. My family and I will always trust Dr. Fanous as our poditrist/surgeon. Thank you Dr. Mike for again coming to my rescue! read more

They do not follow thru with their appointments. They schedule appointments for Barstow, then they stop coming and don't even let you know.

Doctor is great; however, staff is rude, billing did not post my last payment and now will not take my call (she's at "lunch" no matter the time), nor call me back. It's been months! read more

Dr Fanous is obviously very knowledgeable and at the top of his game. Unfortunately what makes him so great, also is the only downside. The wait time could be a lot less. Great Dr super nice.But Im taking My services else where.When Making a appt It was so loud in the back round I really Couldn't here. Well come to find out when I went to my appt the music in the office was so loud I felt like I was in a Club, The Dr and staff where very nice. However I had to keep calling 2xs a week just to find out what was going on with my surgery date. No one ever called me back as Promised.Its not my job to keep calling to find out about my case. And Never got a call back. When I called back , like the 100th time The lady said OH Ur surgery date is such and such and some one will call you for instructions on monday. Well no one ever did. Dr. Michael Fanous is nice, but is not informative about your conditions. The first time I met with him, he explained that my ankles were inflamed and I would need shots, but that was it. I went in there originally for a burning sensation in my right foot. The other four times I have seen him, I've asked questions and he talks real fast and says it's okay, don't worry about it, that I'll be taken care of... but it's seems it's just to shut you up real quick. Seems like just a quick buck. He records more notes in his phone in a different language than he actually tells you. When going every 2 weeks for the cortisone shots in my ankles, he never disinfects with an alcohol pad, never uses gloves and he just puts a needle in. It hurts due to the medicine being so thick, but he doesn't inject it slower so it doesn't hurt as bad either. His staff tends to have bad attitudes and when you ask them things, you can tell they're annoyed by the look on their face. I still to this day don't know what my condition is exactly, and anything he orders I know nothing about until it arrives at his office and his staff shows me how to use it. Also the second time I went to the office they were supposed to give me a boot to wear on each foot for an hour a day, but the staff only gave me one at the time. They didn't realize that they didn't give a second one like they were supposed to, so hopefully I'm supposed to get it in the next visit. I'm just not a big fan in general this place. I love that they play music, but it's a little too loud for a place of business. The waiting room is super small with barely any seating. You wait at least a half hour at minimum to be seen, and you're out within 10 minutes. I'm just disappointed in this place. Looking to go to another podiatrist. read more

I'm quite disturbed at how this doctor's latest radio ads urge you to specifically bring your children to see him for treatment, given what appears to be a prior license suspension in Orange County related to a child (many years ago, but still). I actually considered it due to my child having some foot pain, but a simple Google search revealed some concerning information. read more

I would never come back here. I had an ulcer on my ankle and he treated it and everything. But I would wait 45 minutes to an hour out side while other of his patients are smoking right by his door. When you do get in there, you're in and out in a minute and I was getting charged $80 a visit. I try to talk to him and he interrupts me and the radio is loud so you can't even hear him. The staff is unorganized. And I would receive bills that were already late to the point they will call me to make a payment or it will go to collections. In my situation I should have just went once a month instead once every two weeks. read more

I made an appointment because he heavily advertises a specific treatment. When I got there, though, he informed me that not only was the treatment $300 more than his receptionist had quoted me, but also that this treatment was not efficacious, and I really should opt for a more involved and more expensive treatment. I scheduled an appointment with this Dr. Because he has tons of advertisements on the local radio station. I went to his rancho office. The office was very "clinic" like. The staff seemed very busy and flustered. When Dr. Came into the room he looked me up and down and it made me uncomfortable, strike one. (I was sitting down so he wasn't analyzing my gait) I came in for a prospective toe nail fungus. Dr said that we have to pull both of the big toe nails off. He gave no alternative treatments. He then asked me if I had insurance. I'm in the health field and I know first hand that a provider should not ask this. This is the job of the receptionists/secretary. He then said once my insurance started in one month to come back for another consultation before the actual treatment was started. So obviously since the consultation was free as a cash patient he wanted me to wait so he could charge my insurance. I went home and was upset because if it was such a situation where the treatment was to remove my toe nails then why wait? I looked this Dr up on the department of consumer affairs website and I'm glad I decided not to return. I just went to another podiatrist today and he was absolutely amazing! read more

My husband went there due to problems with dry feet and ridged nails. He heard the radio advertisement for " free consultation" and that's what drew him in. After Dr. Fanous came in glanced cursory at his feet and told him that all his toe nails need to be removed! My husband said that seemed a bit aggressive and he would think about it. He ended up with a dr. at Loma Linda medical center who has been treating his foot problems with great success; no mention of toe nail removal. Here's the kicker: months later he got a bill in the tune of $303.00 dollars! He personally went in there to discuss it and they stated that because he has insurance, that is his deductible! They said that that is a discount and are making him pay it! RUN FROM THIS CON ARTIST, how he can win " the best in the High Desert" is absurd!! I would negative stars if I could read more

Dr. Fanous and his staff are very dedicated. He has repaired multiple foot and ankle ailments on myself and my husband with flawless skill. He's fun and genuine. You would be hard pressed to find such a skilled and kind doctor. Feet hurt and he takes the pain away. read more

My infected toe hurt for weeks even after antibiotics. My Dr. sent me to Dr. Farnous in Victorville. He did a procedure the same day. I was concerned about the pain when the numbness wore off but Dr. Fanous assured me that the pain would be gone. To my surprise the pain was gone.I would highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Fanous is awesome! My mother was recently seen by him and she couldn't be happier. Before her surgery, she was having trouble walking, even short distances were painful. The entire experience was completely professional and her surgery went great, she said it was a painless recovery. Now she has no trouble getting around. We can not say enough about his expertise and care for my mom. read more

Dr Fanous was extremely informative and gave me a lot of different options on how to treat my plantar fascia. He was fun and not like a lot of the other doctors I went to see. He was to the point, which I liked because I don't have time to be given the run around. The staff was great, there was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected if the Dr is good.
