The location is convenient for me since I do my grocery shopping and my nails within 0.5 miles from the salon. The interior is immaculate and modern; staff were friendly and genuinely concerning; prices are even better. Albeit, I was one of the first black clients in this particular shop, they exceeded my expectations and did a better job than my regular hair stylist (no shade). They were very attentive to my hair type and needs, giving honest feedback and suggestions. I can proudly say, ANYONE with hair that is told is "hard to manage", this salon does not shy away from a challenge, and will style your hair with love and precision. I will definitely be returning.

Other than that, I consistently paid premium prices and trusted this salon (specifically Eleanor). Last month, I brought my daughter in for a keratin treatment. Both Eleanor & the owner clearly explained that it was not 100% guaranteed to get her hair to be straight and that it's a process that requires maintenance. I understood the risk & agreed to proceed. Eleanor spent about 2 hours on my daughter's hair and the cost was $200 + tip which I willingly paid. After one wash, her hair returned completely to its original frizzy state. I took photos & called to speak with Eleanor--not to ask for a refund, but simply to understand what happened and discuss a possible solution. Instead, I was met with unpleasantness, unprofessional attitude & defensiveness. Eleanor said, "I spent 2 hours on my feet doing your daughter's hair & we told you it's not guaranteed." I calmly repeated that I wasn't asking for my money back--just an explanation or guidance. I never called back again to discuss the keratin treatment because I felt she was so defensive and they will not offer me any other solution. A week later, when I called to book my usual root color appointment, I was told--after checking Eleanor's availability--that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After 7 years of loyalty and spending a significant amount of money, this is how I was treated for simply asking a question. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for long-term clients is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Their customer service and sense of loyalty to long-term clients are far below what you would expect from a professional business.

Different technicians have serviced me, but mostly it's Linda who helps me. Of course there is a language barrier, but that doesn't stop the professionalism and care from shining through. This is a multi- faceted salon: hair, nails, eyebrows, lashes and I'm hoping they start doing facials. While I don't go there to get my hair styled or cut, I do see the ladies who walk out with a prideful swag, swinging their hair back and forth. Since I come regularly, Linda and staff know exactly why I'm there. No fuss. No muss. The price for a regular mani- pedi, for me, is $31-$35, maybe a little higher on the weekends. Of course, I tip. The "custom wig" I received wasn't custom at all. She cut the back piece off a machine weft wig and sowed a frontal on top. When I brought it to her attention she said that's how she does some of her "custom wigs". Not for nothing that's not how you do a custom wig. To sum it all the way up she is charging $600 for a $200 wig. She is buying store brought wigs and altering them, saying there customize! I'm not saying don't go there but this is what you should expect. If the wig was $200 I would've definitely respected it more.

I came in with nothing more than a photo concept of what color I was looking for and some old photos of me from over 3 years ago the last time I colored my hair. She was so sweet and so personable and really took the time to listen and chat with me for over 3 hours while she worked on my hair.
