TL;DR: Fancy Pups is legitimate. Their set up is very nice, they care about the puppies, and they are not shady at all. We bought an adorable Yorkie pup from Fancy Pups just over a year ago. The entire experience was pleasant. I called, told them the puppy I was interested in, and drove down the next morning to take a look. The puppy was exactly as I'd expected it to be--cute, fluffy, healthy, and happy! I brought him home that morning. To address the concern of whether or not they are breeder: Jon and Jimmie used to breed Yorkies, but stopped several years ago. Now, they operate as a broker only. They sell Yorkies for longtime friends. I can not confirm to whether or not the puppies come from puppy mills, but what I can say is that our Yorkie was healthy, well cared for, well-marked, and adapted extremely well. Our puppy did have some hypoglycemia issues (common in these little babies). I was able to reach out to Jimmie by email, then phone, to discuss. While our puppy is just fine now, Jimmie was genuinely concerned and really helpful. She asked that I let her know if there are any systemic issues (i.e. liver shunt) found so that the dog's parents would not be bred again to prevent this genetic defect. After our family Yorkie passed away, my parents wanted to purchase another one as they love the energy that they bring to their home. Fancy Pups was recommended and after talking to the owners we felt comfortable moving forward with the purchase. We were told that he would not weigh more than 6.5 lbs. My parents were pretty adamant about that and we even asked about the puppy's parents and the owners confirmed that everything was great and that parents were both under 6.5 etc Their yorkie is now close to 9 lbs. Also we struggled with his left ear staying pointing up. The right one was fine but the left one kept coming down. He is soon to be one year so we are hoping that he stays generally healthy. They've learned to love him so no way we would give him back. But it still sucks because the reason why my parents paid what they paid was because they were guaranteed that the yorkie would not be more than 6.5 lbs. We should've done our research because had we known that they aren't actual breeders we would've never done business with them. In a nutshell do your research. My friend had a great yorkie from them. I guess it's hit or miss so before you do business with them make sure you are ok with the possibility of not getting what you really want. read more

Very nice people and high quality healthy puppies. Very reasonably priced. (who can put a price on love anyway?!?) They're welcoming and you can tell they're truly dog people. They take time to answer questions and take special care pairing you with the "one" based on their unique personalities. They know their dogs! Impressed all around and highly recommend. The owners are very nice people to deal with but be forewarned. They are not breeders as their website indicates. They are brokers getting their dogs from various backyard breeders. We learned this the hard way. We purchased (3) Yorkies from them over a (5) year period from 2003 - 2008. The first Yorkie died after (8) years from a breeding defect and broke our hearts. The second one never grew much, had some health issues and lived to (13) before passing away from kidney problems. The last Yorkie turned out to be inbred, suffers from seizures but is still hanging in there at (11) years old. Yorkshire terriers are expensive - deal with a real breeder and save yourself a lot of money and heartache. read more

I have bought two female Yorkies from these people and have never had a problem with any of them. Dogs will get sick and Yorkies do have trachea problems. My dogs have been great and are beautiful. They know Yorkies and even if they get them from Oklahoma, at least they are finding them good homes. read more

These people are not dog breeders, they are dog brokers. They sold me a sick dog that died 4 days later from Parvo (Dec 2020). When I called and said our dog had Parvo and was dying at the vet, Jonnie said, "oh, just bring him back" I told her he was about to die and she told me if we wanted our money back she wanted the ACA paper back. She did not care that our dog was sick!!!!! When looking at my paperwork I found out that my dog was from Oklahoma, not born here in Texas at Fancy Pups like their website says (website says they are breeders). These people get their dogs from a lady in Oklahoma so they have no clue how big the dogs will get, or if they are sick!!! Look at their website all the dogs have different birthdates which tells me the actual breeder probably runs a puppy mill! Beware of these people!! They have a ton of great Facebook reviews but I was stupid and fell for everything. After writing a review on Facebook they removed all reviews!
