Have been here twice now. Food amazing on both occasions. You must be prepared for spicy though!…read moreThankfully I have lived with a couple cooks who prepared me well. Tonight I had Mysore Masala Dosa to start. If you haven't had dosa it's an Indian version of a crepe. This one had a potato and onion filling along with a couple side sauces. This is not a spicy dish but one of the sides was, if you like it that way. For my main I went with Chicken Afghani, which is definitely on the spicy side. Tasty af though! Sauce is cream, lime juice and spices, with a whipped up egg on top. Also had dessert tonight which I normally decline. Rasamalai sounded too good to pass on. Cheese dumplings in clotted cream. I was glad I indulged. The staff here is also amazing. Everyone recognized me as a returning customer even though my first visit was opening night when they had a wait list out the door. Glad to see them doing well.

The most disappointing part of the meal was the chilli chicken. It tastes like chilli chicken made from one of those cheapo Indian food marinades you get at your basic grocery store. I wouldn't call myself a chef, but I've followed chilli chicken recipes I've found on google that came out 10x better. Indian bistro has quantity and quality. This place has a better ambiance though so ‍

The sauce on the Lamb Korma was good enough to eat on its own. We went heavy on the appetizers which were all very good -samosa chana chaat, aloo tikki chaat, and pakoras, pappadam, and naan. Did not go to the restaurant so can't comment except to say if a delivery order was this good I would expect in house service to be top notch as well. Very reasonable price for dinner CAD$ 71.

The cinnamon bun griller was a cool idea. I would try it again, perhaps they over toasted it because it was crunchy like a cookie sandwich. The eggs, toast, and coffee were great. I had a chicken noodle bowl but the broth came in a 500ml container with the chicken and the noodles and bean sprouts where in a clamshell container. I don't know how they expected me to mix them considering I only got a plate, fork and spoon. The shrimp salad rolls were good but the cilantro hanging out the end was wilted and brown. They would've been much better had I left the cilantro in but I don't eat wilted, slimy herbs. I may try this place again but more than likely not delivery. I just don't know who justifies a $7 delivery charge.
